Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and ready on early arrival. Bar / restaurant had nice selection of food and beverages. Breakfast grill was okay, but a little overpriced, but on the mountain that’s to be expected. Pool and hot tub area was a little crowded, but expected during school vacation week. Bed was so close to where you need to walk was too tight. 6-8 inches to get into the room. I kept banging my ankle on the bed frame. Overall a nice stay.
We really enjoyed out stay at the Grand Summit Hotel. The staff was very courteous, friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. We would definitely stay here again. We were only bummed that the Alpine Slide and Mountain Coaster have been closed down for the summer. It seems like Attitash's Mtns new owners are not going to put time and effort into their summer attractions. But we found plenty of other wondering things to do in the Bartlett area. And enjoyed staying at the Grand Summit Hotel.
At Grand Summit Attitash, Judy was great help to my family tonight. Thank you Judy. Kids had fun skiing and swimming in the outdoor heated pool. Vail needs to open the trail named wandering skis, so everyone can ski back to the hotel. The restaurant was solid tonight. There pizza has consistently good. Staff at the restaurant was great.
I booked in August for New Years. We’re not allowed to check in before 4 pm. There was no house keeping. The front desk couldn’t answer basic questions about the ski resort. The room was clean but run down and old. The room heater was loud and the bar/restaurant closed at 11 pm New Years Eve.
Functional adequate spartan experience. Not exactly a first class hotel—-mainly a collection of timeshares. Tried to upgrade from our RCI timeshare and were initially told that, although there were plenty of upgrade’s available that, with RCI it was not possible to upgrade—-with any additional payment. Next day tried to upgrade again and was told only the largest room (penthouse) was available (which was not what we heard the day before) and we were told we would have to pay full price and leave the RCI space without anything in return. The representative was not willing to reduce the price and no one was available to authorize anything else. This was Xmas weekend. The “hotel” is empty. If I owned the hotel or a timeshare here I’d want to make money——even if it wasn’t a full price. #missed_opportunity Pretty foolish way to run a business Did I mention that we’re on the mountain and we have to take a shuttle to ski Attitash?…
We had stayed at the hotel before a few times. The highlight of our visits has always been Judy, the concierge person! She is genuinely friendly, a true asset to the hotel, always very helpful with our questions, suggestions, etc ! We've certainly enjoyed the staff members, the cleanliness of the hotel, the fabulous outdoor pool. Viewing the mountain landscape is delightful! We look forward, especially to Judy's services, in the near future!
Very clean, comfortable rooms with some updates and other updates in progress. We stayed for a week in August when our accommodations at nearby Attitash Suites and Village did not work out. We stayed here about 12 years ago. Grand Summit is pretty much the same, but still clean and comfortable rooms for the area and very reasonable rates. The staff is friendly, the small breakfast/lunch kitchen provides great food while you chat with the chef. The heated outdoor swim out pool is the best family attraction - especially when it rains, which it seems to do every time we vacation in summer. Not much else for outdoor activity on site and no grills. If you have active teens, expect them to get antsy. However, if your goal is a clean, comfortable and NOT outdated room and hotel with nice workout space, large sauna, small game room - I'd stay here again over the outdated rooms which Attitash and other area hotels from North Conway on up offer at outrageous prices. After 15 years of staying at Attitash suites - I'd never stay there again. The grounds are the only attraction there with outdoor grills and safe areas for kids to roam, but the rooms are horrible overall (15 yrs and never the same room and always a crap shoot. I've stayed in some nicer units, but hardly ever available.) Grand Summit was leaps and bounds better. The were replacing the couches and furniture in their units while we were there. We had a 2 bedroom loft with skylight, balcony overlooking the pool, small kitchen and two bathrooms at a great rate for August. Perfect for us with two teen boys. I'd stay again. The area is more quiet than in years past. Expect restaurants to be closed weird days, expect to cook in or eat early at restaurants. Attitash mountain attractions (alpine slide, coaster, water slides etc) are closed. Check out Cranmore Mountain Adventures. It was very small scale, but up and coming with a brand new lodge etc. Walk around North Conway and discover some neat finds like the juice bar pictured. I recommend Red Fox Bar and Grille for dinner. We are picky, and the food is great! Allergy friendly - OPEN - and nice atmosphere. Not to be confused with the Red Jacket Resort restaurant - which is maybe why it took us 15 years to try it! I'll end with this - if you're on vacation and it rains, and you are stuck in your room - you will like your room! You can swim in a heated, outdoor pool and venture out. The area is more depressed either due to post COVID or just lack of "customers" in the summer months. But, my boys grew up vacationing in the white mountains, so we did it one more time! If I had to go back, I'd book at Grand Summit at Attitash and sit on a brand new couch next time!…
Stayed here 2 nights. The location is close to most of the fall foliage places. The room was very large and very clean. We ate at the bar/restaurant one night and it was very good. Outdoor heated pool and hot tub were great. We will definitely stay there again.
I was planning a trip to stay , and then my grandmother 7 passed . When I called to cancel 6 days prior , I was surprisingly caught off guard at the unprofessional supervisor . She told me if I called two days ago she would refund all my money except the $50 fee. Excuse me but I didn’t know my gramma was going to pass away . So instead she charged me $350 to cancel . I get there is a policy , but how can you say that to me ? I think some circumstances that are beyond my control , she be allowed . I emailed asking for the GM to contact me , they never even emailed back . I will never stay here. Not a great look for business and I plan to spread the word .
Staff was excellent, room clean, shuttle was great! We had 2 kids and 2 adults in the room which was fine for the vacation. location was excellent, snow did not cooperate at that time of year for ski in, but it was still a great place to stay!
