we stayed at the town house for 4 nights. the initial reason we chose to stay here was because it was a non smoking and no pet motel and only 1 story so we could park outside our room. we were very happy with our decision to stay here. the owners/manager and staff are very friendly and take a lot of pride in their establishment. our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and quiet. the motel is perfectly located for everything we needed (stores, places to eat, gasoline etc.) while this motel is truly old school, we will never stay anywhere else when we come to visit our family!

The Townhouse Motel is a basic motel that served us well for our stop in Winnemucca as part of a larger road trip. The rooms are a bit dated, but fine when just looking for a place to spend the night. They were clean and had a refrigerator and microwave.

This motel is a clean, modest but well run motel located just 1 block off the main interstate highway. Prices are competitive and reasonable. There is a swimming pool on the premises, however, it may not be available during the fall or winter due to lack of demand. Several dining establishments are within walking distance from the motel.

Check in was easy and the last time we stayed here several years ago, it was very clean and well kept, but this time, that was not the case.

The doors are all keyed, which I don’t mind, but it took several minutes to unlock the door each time we wanted to get in. I think the lock mechanism was wearing out.

I didn’t notice until the kids had gone to bed and I went to shower, but our shower had obviously not been cleaned between guests. A bloody bandaid, several strands of hair, and a used bar of soap were all in the shower stall. When our room wasn’t cleaned the next day, I asked for room service and was told to put up the “service requested” hanger on the door. We didn’t have one in the room, so we made the office aware and requested room service. Our shower STILL did not get cleaned.

The freezer part of the mini fridge had what looked like frozen coffee grounds in it.

The mattress was old and had a groove in it where people have slept in it over the years - desperately needed to be replaced. As I recall, the last time we stayed, the mattress was old, but did not have a groove.

The good: it is pretty quiet and the heater is not loud. Floors were clean and we always had a parking spot close to our room. I like that it is one story so there was no one above us making noise.

Most important thing to me in choosing lodgings is cleanliness and safety. The townhouse motel checked both of those boxes. Our stay there actually was very nice… BUT… After we left, I was charged $50. I called the motel and they said they would get back to me. I called every day for almost a week. They still kept putting me off. They said the manager would call me. They never did. Hotels.com got involved, and they could not reach the manager either. Then I was told that the manager had taken care of it, which they have not. It has now been one month, and now when I call they don’t answer. We did not have any pets, we did not steal anything (I had asked if this is why they had charged me $50 because they thought we stole 2 towels. There were NO bath towels in our room. I went to the front office the next morning to get bath towels but they did not answer the door ). We did not check out late, we did not trash the place, we did not break anything.
We travel across Nevada regularly, and I originally had thought that we would stay in the townhouse motel again, but never again. I left a review on Hotels.com and tried to edit it after I learned of this charge and their refusal to do anything about it, but they won’t let me edit it. I wonder how many people have been scammed by the townhouse motel?

I am single woman traveling by myself ( in my 70’s). When I checked in the room rate was $65. My credit card was charged $95. Luckily I am notified by text of charges. Went to office for clarification. He said he mistakenly charged for 2 nights. That doesn’t add up! He did give me a credit. I have stayed there before. Since it has been sold it isn’t as clean. Although I had a Non smoking room the bed sheets smelled of tobacco smoke. Mold around shower. Will never stay there again. Buyer beware!

Stayed here one night for a cross country trip. Hotel was nice enough, cost $84, charged on the day we stayed there. However, 2 days later, after we left and were in a different state, they charged us $99 extra. Called and asked what the charge was for and the receptionist or manager, she wouldnt give me her name, said I was harassing her for simply asking what the new charge was for. I was not rude, only asked what the charge was for. Was told the owner was in California and they were waiting for him to get back. Then they hung up on me. Don't stay here, they'll over charge you. Horrible service.

This is very nice old school motel, a window into a time when things were simple. Very well maintained and very comfortable make this motel just off the main drag a must stay. The motel has a fantastic kidney shaped pool that is very refreshing after a long drive across the hot desert. The AC is cool, the TV has great service and the bed is comfortable. The owner is very friendly and check in as swift.

Near the motel are a few places to eat and a grocery store that’s well appointed.
If I’m ever through these parts again I will most definitely stop by and spend the night.

During a long road trip we stopped in Winnemucca to regroup. Based on the other reviews we pulled in here for the night and stayed three! The hotel is vintage, (kept as original as possible), very clean and comfortable. The owners and housekeeping folks were very helpful and friendly. The area is clean and free of rifraf for a quiet and relaxing stay. There’s a convenience store / gas station next door, (great jumpstart coffee!!!), a laundromat / car wash right behind the motel and it’s pretty much a mile from everything, including Walmart.

This is a great motel! The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, the hosts are friendly and courteous. There's a pool, cold AC in the rooms, and you're just a block off the "main drag" in Winnemucca. I like being able to park right in front of my room, and not haul my luggage through lobbies and up elevators. The motel is an easy walk to The Griddle, an excellent breakfast cafe. I will stay here any time my travels take me to Winnemucca!
