Modern camping convenience meets the Old West in Winnemucca, the historic gold-mining town surrounded by the high desert and mountains of northern Nevada. Just off I-80, Silver State RV Resort (formerly known as Winnemucca I-80 KOA) staff will greet you with friendly smiles and a true Western welcome. What will you find here? A fully stocked RV supply and convenience store and, best of all, 100 MPbs WiFi. Whiz around the park on banana bikes or take a dip in the pool. Challenge the kids to Water Wars, water balloon fun. Stretch your legs on the shuffleboard court, and let the kids unwind on the playground. At the end of the day, enjoy a "moonlight and mallows" experience around the fire, along with a scoop of gourmet hand-dipped ice cream. Downtown preserves its heritage with historic buildings, now home to restaurants, pubs and boutiques. Miles of trails await hikers, bikers and ATV riders, and there are monthly events galore! Pool: May 15 - Oct. 15. Max pull thru: 85 feet.

This is an average RV park located close to the Interstate in Winnemucca, NV. It is clean and there are no real problems but things like the edging boards on the sites are falling apart, the picnic tables and developing holes, roads have some big potholes, and many other little maintenance and update items are needed. If you want to use the cable TV either bring a cable coupler or go ask the office for one. The connectors on the ends at the sites are female, not the expected male. Pressure regulator is definitely needed as well.

There are a number of newer parks in the area and they may likely be causing this park to lose business and continue to decline. I will probably look at one of the others for my next trip through the area.

The staff is very friendly and there is hand-dipped ice cream for sale in the office which is definitely a positive.

The registration clerk was friendly but did not wear a mask at check in. Check in was very easy. The campground had a lot of vacancies but we were all packed next to each other. There is no shade or tree cover or grass, but hey- we’re in the desert, right? There was a light post right outside our site that was a little to bright for sleep but well lit for safety. I agree with other reviews that after a long day in the car it would’ve been nice for the pool to stay open a little longer. My daughter and I were the only people who had been in the pool all day and were asked to leave after about 30 minutes of playing. I appreciated the posted rules of no more than 2 families in the pool area at a time. My daughter was excited about the playground but we didn’t have enough time to check it out. For the price, there were a lot of extra amenities. I would stay here again.

Compared to a lot of other parks, this rates better than average. It has paved streets and gravel pads that are a little closer than I like. Several permanents but no trahsy units. Would definately stay there again.

How this place has 4 stars is very puzzling. Cold water in laundromat when temp selector is set to hot. The staff solution was to pour hot water from the coffee maker into the wash machine, which made the cold water barely luke warm. Clothes didn't get clean. I used the men's bathroom. The stall that I used, the only one available, did not shut or lock. Door was damaged and had not been repaired. The place was not clean and I inspected the showers, then went back to our trailer to take my shower there. The men's bath/shower room is in dire need of a remodel. I tried for two hours to get on the "free internet." That was a no go also. Sometimes I could get logged in but got kicked off every two minutes. There are other RV parks in town and I would try them before using this place.

I have been here a couple times now to visit a friend and each time it seems to be worse. There are goat head plants everywhere which track inside the RV. In my three trips here we have only had cable TV once. The picture attached is of one of the dog areas. It obviously hasn’t been maintained in awhile. The dog facilities are also sand but not much shade so hot on the dog paws. If it were me and it wasn’t a work detail, I’d move.

The worst! Dirty, trash and, dog poop everywhere! Never will I stay here again! We paid for a pull through spot and because of the way the rig in front of us parked their tow vehicle, we couldn’t pull through. No refund for the difference. I do not recommend this park at all.

-The grounds are well kept up! Full hooks ups, swimming pool, and friendly staff. Bathrooms are maintained similar to hotel quality. I never saw or heard anyone outside of their camper. It was very peaceful & quiet. The only thing that I was bummed about was that there was no fire pit in our campsite. We’re big on s’mores, but after walking around we noticed that there is one in the very front when driving in. I guess it works as a community fire pit. I would stay here again just for the peace & quietness & the well kept bathrooms to stop over in my way to Idaho.

We’ve been coming here for a number of years. It used to be an RV park, it now is a trailer park with more permanent units than travelers. The space we were assigned for the night was described as “a 70 foot space”. Our 5th wheel, 38 feet long, was too long for the space. Since our 5th wheel over extended the space length our pickup was well out into the roadway. If it hadn’t been a holiday with the office closed we would have asked for another space.

Googled this place as I was driving, showed up late and tired. It exceeded my expectations. Nice place to pitch a tent and hot showers.
BTW I was next to the bathrooms and I was fine

Quiet, clean sites and immaculate bathrooms and showers. Seemed to have nice tables at every site. Many pull-thrus, and back-ins took you up against desert. Nice staff, small store, rec room very nice, good cable, great free wi-fi. Two dog parks, doggy bags in several locations. Nice swimming pool.and, a small, fenced play area with a slide and a few other pieces of equipment. Everything was well maintained. Definitely a spot to enjoy when traveling on Interstate 80.

We stayed here on the 4th of July in a travel trailer.

This is not an RV Resort. But, it's a great RV Park.

"DON"T get a 70 foot space ((that is only 45 feet long), go for the 60' and maybe you will be happier, that is if you decide to stay here."
