Bring your own toilet paper because the residents steal the rolls from the bathrooms. I think the local Walmart parking lot has a lot more going for it than this place. August 2022. 110 degrees in the shade ..
-The grounds are well kept up! Full hooks ups, swimming pool, and friendly staff. Bathrooms are maintained similar to hotel quality. I never saw or heard anyone outside of their camper. It was very peaceful & quiet. The only thing that I was bummed about was that there was no fire pit in our campsite. We’re big on s’mores, but after walking around we noticed that there is one in the very front when driving in. I guess it works as a community fire pit. I would stay here again just for the peace & quietness & the well kept bathrooms to stop over in my way to Idaho.
This is an average RV park located close to the Interstate in Winnemucca, NV. It is clean and there are no real problems but things like the edging boards on the sites are falling apart, the picnic tables and developing holes, roads have some big potholes, and many other little maintenance and update items are needed. If you want to use the cable TV either bring a cable coupler or go ask the office for one. The connectors on the ends at the sites are female, not the expected male. Pressure regulator is definitely needed as well. There are a number of newer parks in the area and they may likely be causing this park to lose business and continue to decline. I will probably look at one of the others for my next trip through the area. The staff is very friendly and there is hand-dipped ice cream for sale in the office which is definitely a positive.…
How this place has 4 stars is very puzzling. Cold water in laundromat when temp selector is set to hot. The staff solution was to pour hot water from the coffee maker into the wash machine, which made the cold water barely luke warm. Clothes didn't get clean. I used the men's bathroom. The stall that I used, the only one available, did not shut or lock. Door was damaged and had not been repaired. The place was not clean and I inspected the showers, then went back to our trailer to take my shower there. The men's bath/shower room is in dire need of a remodel. I tried for two hours to get on the "free internet." That was a no go also. Sometimes I could get logged in but got kicked off every two minutes. There are other RV parks in town and I would try them before using this place.
The registration clerk was friendly but did not wear a mask at check in. Check in was very easy. The campground had a lot of vacancies but we were all packed next to each other. There is no shade or tree cover or grass, but hey- we’re in the desert, right? There was a light post right outside our site that was a little to bright for sleep but well lit for safety. I agree with other reviews that after a long day in the car it would’ve been nice for the pool to stay open a little longer. My daughter and I were the only people who had been in the pool all day and were asked to leave after about 30 minutes of playing. I appreciated the posted rules of no more than 2 families in the pool area at a time. My daughter was excited about the playground but we didn’t have enough time to check it out. For the price, there were a lot of extra amenities. I would stay here again.…
I have been here a couple times now to visit a friend and each time it seems to be worse. There are goat head plants everywhere which track inside the RV. In my three trips here we have only had cable TV once. The picture attached is of one of the dog areas. It obviously hasn’t been maintained in awhile. The dog facilities are also sand but not much shade so hot on the dog paws. If it were me and it wasn’t a work detail, I’d move.
Compared to a lot of other parks, this rates better than average. It has paved streets and gravel pads that are a little closer than I like. Several permanents but no trahsy units. Would definately stay there again.
Everything is brand new. Cleanest facilities of the many RV camp grounds we have visited. Really good restaurant with good old American food at reasonable prices. Additional Perk: Where else can you buy a coffee cup engraved with "Where the F----a is Winnemucca"
I just wanted to say thanks again Silver State RV for working with me in every way. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Work moved me 2 days after I signed for a month and they worked it out above and beyond fairly. Extremely friendly staff, clean showers, clean park, and killer ice cream. -traveling worker
Nice clean facility. Loved the bathrooms. Unfortunately, pool hours weren’t open early enough and too cold to use. Slides at playground have unsafe drops; need to be closer to the ground. Spoke to 3 different staff members separately and they none were very helpful. It’s a bummer since such a nice facility but lacking in service, except for super nice lady in phone who took our reservation. Specifics: 1. Boy on golf cart seemed put off that we asked where playground was. Saw him later and he still seemed in sullen mood despite us being friendly. 2. Saw cool little area behind pool that looked like it was for some games. Asked that kid and he simply said it was his second day and he didn’t know then walked away. 3. Girl in store on her phone the whole time. We saw ice cream tubs all without lids and the the freezer top opened. We let her know but she just shrugged and said it was ok and went back to her phone. We DID NOT buy that ice cream. …
