On a recent road trip from central Washington to southern Nevada, we stayed at this lovely little motel in Wells. I’ve made this trip countless times, but have always stayed either in Twin Falls or Jackpot. I wanted our second day to be an easy drive, so decided we’d go to Wells for our night on the road. I read some reviews on the Sharon Motel and we gave it a try. Am I glad we did! What a sweet little motel! Immaculate! It smelled so fresh and clean when we walked in; the bathroom floor was so clean, it felt marvelous on my bare feet. :) The room had everything we needed for one night’s stay. The beds were comfy, the bath towels thick and fluffy. There was no coffee in the room due to Covid, but we were aware of this before setting out on our road trip so we’re traveling with a small coffee maker of our own. I highly recommend this motel! It’s small, make sure to reserve a room!…
Fresh air is important these days and the Sharon has no enclosed corridors, but each room opens directly to the outside-it's a Motel! In addition, our room had a window out the bathroom. (From that window you could see two bordello's across the railroad tracks.) The room was clean and had two comfortable chairs and a small table. It was a short walk to "downtown" and a couple of restaurants. Wells is a very quiet town, and we slept well. The staff is friendly and the facility well maintained. The room had a small fridge and microwave.
I highly recommend the Sharon Motel if you need somewhere to stay to visit Angel Lake. The room was clean and nicely decorated. It felt more like staying in someone's guest room than a motel room. The bed was the most comfortable one I've slept in at any hotel, and the quilt was pretty and super soft. The A/C worked well and the shower had great water pressure. I also appreciated the power strip near the bed. Usually it's tough to find a place to plug in my phone charger and anything else that needs to be charged, but not here!
Wells is a still dying really old railroad town, but the freeway goes by and splits north here with another highway so is a good place to stop. The motel is clean, bright, well run and full of nice people. As a place to stop great. Restaurants were pretty much closed with the virus shutdown but we had good takeout from Subway.
Clean, quiet, comfortable, reasonably priced, family owned. Recently updated. We will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend but make a reservation as there are only 10 rooms. Restaurants and gas close by.
