This place was beyond a dump. We refused to take a shower, it was so gross and the black mold in the bathrooms was disgusting. The “breakfast” was revolting and we refused to eat anything. The OJ container had not been cleaned in months. The couple running the place were arguing when I walked in and she threw eye daggers at me. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - DON’T STAY HERE1
Wyndham should definitely disassociate themselves from this property. I arrived to check in at about 5pm. I rang the bell at the counter, but nobody was to be found. Finally, after about 15 minutes, somebody showed up. I would have gone elsewhere, but it was too late to cancel without being charged. The whole place looks like crap! The main light in the room (operated by the switch near the door?) didn't work. The power outlet near the table needs to be fixed. It drew an arc when I plugged the coffee pot in. Speaking of that, the coffee maker had a really big carafe, but with coffee packet furnished was for one cup only. It took about 15 minutes for the water in the shower to get just slightly warm. The bolts holding the toilet to the floor were broken, and it moved around if you leaned one way or the other while seated. I was stuck there for a second night, too. When I returned at about 6pm, I discovered that mthey hadn't cleaned the room! When I emerged on the second morning, I saw that someone had dumped a large quantity of garbage about 15 feet outside my door. Avoid this place at all costs!…
hotels value .com. The guy grabs my Visa card and promptly charges me for the room after I had already told him that I had reserved and paid through hotel value. He continues to tell me they don’t take MasterCard which I told him I don’t have a MasterCard to charge. Come to find out these morons didn’t even know that the MasterCard charged was from hotel value when they paid for my room using their card. Anyhow after the totally incompetent boy goes back to check his diaper 4 times and finally returns telling me if I don’t like it go stay somewhere else. Ok so I’ve paid twice for the same room so I demand the phone number to the corporate office which he supplies after whining for a few minutes. The minute I start dialing he tells me that he accidentally did charge me twice for the room and would return my money to my card. I asked how long that would take and he said a few days. Ok I got the room keys headed to my room and the key didn’t work. This was on July 3rd and after 75 try’s the room finally opened letting us into our room about 4pm. Fast forward to July 4, today. I return from a long hot day with my kids at angel lake and try to get in the room. The key doesn’t work after 80 tries. In the meantime I talked my daughter into staying at this same hotel due to being close to me. Ok 2 rooms 2 nights 8 people and nobodies room keys work. I go to the office for resolution and get okay your keys to both rooms should work now. 10 minutes later no keys work and I’ve been out in the hot ass sun for 10 minutes. I walk to the front office and this female takes her time meandering out to where my daughter is staying and the key doesn’t work. My son-in-law took the screen off to gain access. The female would not come to my room because of my dog so she slowly walks back to get the boy to open my room. None of the keys work at this time we have to slide the window open to gain access to both rooms and these “managers” don’t give 2 cents. I called Wyndham and lodged a complain which most likely will fall on deaf ears sadly. Throughout this whole episode no remorse, no apology, not any kind of customer service regret whatsoever. I am sickened the way my family and I have been treated with this unprofessional disregard of simple human respect. I will be filing a complaint with the proper authorities once I get back from this trip. I feel like I was treated like crap because I am white and my family is white and our constitutional rights have been violated. I am in my late 50’s and was cast out into the sun waiting on a key that didn’t work because the manager didn’t have time to deal with me, I am disgusted.…
Okay this is a late entry by about three weeks, so forgive me. On first look the size of room was very surprising as it was very spacious. But that’s where it ended. The floor near the bathroom was sunken and moved up and down when you stepped in that location. There were not enough outlets for electrical equipment. The shower drain was slow to drain water and the shower curtain had a rust stain on it. After I got home the hotel called me for my address for Wyndham Rewards which I found odd. I truly believe that Wyndham has yet to send their corporate fixers to this hotel. The Hampton Inn is opening soon in Wells so I’ll be staying there in the future.
Where do I begin? Room 236. Spongy floor, loose tile in bathroom, missing towel bar in bathroom, storage rack falling off wall, odd paint scheme on walls, etc. Cannot believe this is a Super 8 or Wyndham property. Shameful.
