While you visit Virginia City, Nevada, don't miss going to the Silver Queen Hotel. It is a real trip to the past in this town that resembles the old west. Inside this hotel is a model of a woman which I believe is either 16 or 18 feet high with a dress made out of over 3200 silver dollars and... More

My son took a group of us ghost hunting in Virginia city and we stayed at the Silver Queen hotel, the most haunted hotel in Nevada. It was rather calm until about 3 am when I heat pounding my my door and no one was there. Also the blinds above the bed were closed when I went to sleep and... More

Reviewing the saloon part of it, it's such a beautiful room with the silver queen adorned with silver hanging in the back of the saloon. Drinks were great, and the building was just beautiful. The hotel lobby looked nice as well.

Virginia City is a very cool town to visit, and staying at the Silver Queen was the icing on the cake. We like historical areas and this hotel is the coolest one we have stayed at. Everything is period correct, but clean and charming. Our room has a claw foot tub and windows facing main street. Downstairs has a nice... More

This hotel has a special kind of charm to it. It is an old hotel with plenty of history. The building is old but that just adds to the charm of the whole stay. The staff are especially nice people. The rooms are small but the beds are comfortable. I am a huge fan of the TV Show Ghost Adventures... More

This place was pretty cool. A run down old Wild West saloon and hotel with a ton of character. It was exactly what we were hoping for. The woman who owns the place was very sweet and let us snoop around in spooky corners of the place that are usually off limits. The WHOLE entire town shut down at 8pm... More

I'll admit that I booked a room here based on the lore perpetuated by Ghost Adventures. The Silver Queen delivered exactly what I was expecting: a historical hotel with lots of character. We stayed in room 19 on the third floor. I opted to pay ten dollars more for a room with a window. I was pleasantly surprised to find... More

I met the "Pistol Packin Reverand" and who I think is also the owner or manager. Interesting guy. He showed me a photo album showing "proof" of ghosts in his place. I had to keep a straight face as the photos didn't really show anything and what it did show, could easily be explained. I asked him what he personally... More

While staying in reno I decided to visit Virginia City. After going through a number of museums in shops iPhone things hidden gem. It's a little bar downstairs silver dollar saloon across the street from the hotel. After having more than enough to drink the bartender and locals recommended I stay at the hotel. the people working at the Silver... More
