Every time we visit the Tahoe House Hotel, it just gets better and better! The sweet couple that own/manage the hotel and bar, Paul and Tatiana, go above and beyond to make their guests feel like they are truly welcome, and leave no box unticked. She led us into a clean, very comfortable room with chilled champagne and a hand-written note congratulating us on our anniversary. The personal touches will WOW you, not what you would expect in VC. The rest of the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and area. They have an awesome seasonal cocktail menu, we’ve tried many drinks and have many favorites! We even enjoyed some live music, the girl singing acoustic was the perfect backdrop for our night. Friendly to locals and strangers alike. Whether you are here for a drink or staying for a day or two, the Tahoe House will not disappoint! 10/10

This has been one of my most memorable experience’s altogether. I was traveling solo but you will never end up alone there. Paul makes every single guest welcomed. The rooms have an authentic charm and magic. European style breakfast is served early mornings with fresh coffee. The vibe you feel when you come to Tahoe House Hotel is so positive that you will not want to stay anywhere else in this very Magical Town.

We would highly recommend staying at this hotel when in Virginia City! We parked on B street, behind the hotel. As we walked down the stairs to the entrance, we noticed the inviting yard area (with green grass, trees and Adirondack chairs for relaxing), beautiful flowers and a spacious patio area. Once we entered the hotel, we were immediately taken back to when the mining town was booming. We especially were drawn to the handmade bar where we enjoyed lively conversation with the proprietors Paul and Brianna and other guests. Everyone was inviting and friendly. We stayed in the Presidential suite and enjoyed our dinner out on the balcony of our room. The bed was sooo comfortable and the room was, well, roomy. We left the beautiful doors open during the evening to enjoy the cool air. In the morning, we enjoyed a delicious and varied continental breakfast, including hard-boiled eggs, yay! We're so glad we chose this hotel for our time in Virginia City, and look forward to a return visit!

We were traveling on a "bucket list" trip from Florida and just got lucky with this hotel find. What a gem. Beautifully restored by owner Paul. We stayed in the Bonanza room which had a balcony Comfy bed and nice bathroom. Our only regret we were only there one night!

My sister and I passed through Virginia City during a trip across Nevada. I had always wanted to spend the night in this quaint historical town. When we stopped by the hotel to inquire about a room (2). We were met with friendly staff and ushered into Paul's office. From that moment on, everything was perfect. We secured balcony rooms which were clean and well-decorated, and enjoyed a free drink at the bar. Hanging out with Paul and his staff was a highlight of the trip. The views were wonderful, and we were also treated to a wonderful breakfast spread before we headed out the next day. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed a one-night stay in this historic hotel. Hopefully, we will be able to visit again. I am not sure if it was because of the time of year or if it is routine, but most things start closing around 4-5pm so it can become an actual ghost town after 6, but that only enhanced the experience.

This is our second time staying here. Clean, comfortable rooms. Splurge for the cottage/carriage house if you can - such a charming little place. The little touches of the complimentary welcome craft cocktail, the local soaps in the bathroom, fluffy towels, and soft white linens make the stay even better.

A delightful old hotel that has been beautifully restored without losing any of its charm. Our Balcony room was spacious, and blissfully quiet, and the bed was oh so comfortable. The hotel is impeccably clean and filled with welcoming corners to sit and relax. The lobby bar features a delicious drink selection, and the morning breakfast buffet was one of the best we've seen. The staff and management are excellent, friendly and informative and happy to share stories and history that I'm sure they've told a million times. Virginia City was also terrific fun, worth adding to your itinerary and spending the night.

If you want to feel the hospitality of a well-heeled hotel franchise, but the genuine charm of an independent on-site proprietor in Virginia City and enjoy all it has to offer, book at the Tahoe House and you will not be disappointed. Friendly staff who treat you like guests in their home, well appointed comfortable rooms and beautiful and inviting social spaces to work or relax with views to enjoy from every room, you will feel like the place is your home away from home! Shopping, great dining and cocktails, tourist attractions and loads of history are literally within the hotel itself or just a few short steps in any direction!

Our first stay was wonderful and we did not believe it could get any better. But, it did. Paul is a consummate professional who makes you feel at home and part of the family, not just a guest in his Hotel. Tatiana and Zaria compliment Paul's vision that add value to the overall experience. We cannot say enough about this Hotel and Staff. Only that we have already booked for February and again in December. Thank you Paul and team! James and Donna

We stayed one night. Paul (the owner) had a last minute cancellation, so he very kindly upgraded our room. The room was historical and quaint, with a big shared balcony overlooking the main street. We hung out at the hotel bar that evening, and had a great time. There was a small wedding reception being held at the bar at the same time, and we didn’t feel weird about not knowing anyone. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
