Upon entering the Mizpah, I felt transported back to 1900, when the historic beauty was built. Decor and atmosphere feels very authentic. The new owners really took the challenge of modernizing the property while maintaining it's historic charm. Super friendly staff. Food at the cafe was just OK, but the drinks and bartender at the property were terrific. We also... More

I remember driving by this hotel when it was in derelict condition. I was pleased to learn that it reopened a few years ago and it is indeed very attractive inside. My order was country fried steak with gravy, mashed potatoes, and vegetables, which was pretty good. My only criticism is the salad was iceberg. Service was friendly and was... More

We escaped our vacation in Vegas to check out some of Nevada. Our travels and rental Mustang carried us to the isolated town of Tonopah where we enjoyed a wonderful night and rest in the Mizpah. We ate in the restaurant- fried chicken special- which was very good, not the best fried chicken ever, but definitely homemade and very good.... More

Interesting older restored building in historic silver mining town in center of Nevada. Owners (Cline family of Cline Winery) have done nice job of bringing it back to life. Our room was on smallish side but well furnished with period pieces. Bar area a lot of fun. Good stopover point between Las Vegas area and Reno area.

My husband and I stayed at the mizpah while traveling to California. I had seen the advertisement along the highway and the luxurious bedding appealed to me. They did not disappoint, rooms were clean bedding was luxurious, food in the hotel was excellent with very good service.

We were heading from Reno to Las Vegas and decided to spend the night in Tenopah. We rolled into town about 6 pm and were surprised that most motels were booked solid and had no rooms available. Finally, a desk clerk suggested we try the Mizpah Hotel and we were fortunate enough to obtain their last available room. What a... More

Great historic hotel that is the center of the town. The Clines did a great job with the restoration. The hotel seemed both old and new at the same time. The room was smallish but the hallways and common areas were spacious. We had coffee in the morning on a settee right outside our room. We enjoyed happy hour at... More

I have stayed here multiple times and Tonopah has become a regular stop on my travels. This hotel is a gem. Rooms are completely updated while maintaining the historic character of the original hotel that sat abandoned and ready for demolition for years. I find the bullet hole in the ground floor elevator doors to be of particular interest as... More

This was a lovely hotel with a very interesting history. It has been restored sympathetically but remains comfortable. We booked in unaware of the hotels reputation of being haunted until we reached our room on the 5th floor and found the plaque explaining the story of Red Lady. She didn't haunt us so I have no interesting stories. Coffee served... More

If you've always want to visit ghost towns and haunted mansions, this place is a gem. Historic mining town, and an historic Inn built in the early 1800s, completely restored in 2008 (or so).. this is a great nostalgic stop.. we stayed in the Dempsey Suite where Jack Dempsey stayed many years ago when he came here prior to his...
