Stopped here for the night on a road trip last year. Friendly staff cheap price for a quick stop over. We arrived late night and didnt know the history of the place nor the cemetery next door. Comfy room nice staff ideal stop on a US road trip :)

Clean, but worn room. The staff are very friendly. I had plenty of room to park a 15 ft. U-Haul and a Car Trailer. The shower works great. In room refrigerator. On the north side of Tonopah. Coffee was made by 7 A.M. and was very good. I even purchased a mug and post card. Tonopah is a cool place... More

The motel itself was old and shabby, and could need some paint. The room was big with to big beds. Clean but worn out. The reception was stuffed with over 500 clowns in all different sizes. And the most friendly receptionist gladly told us their stories.. Lovely atmosphere!! Right next to the motel is a cemetery from 1911..! We were... More

Nice place to stay some days in Tonopah. The rooms were big but not the newest carpets. The staff were friendly and open for a talk about the 600 clown collection. We had a good time and bars and restaurants are not far away. ALways again.

I have been reading about this place for years, and finally had the opportunity to stay here. For starters, it was clean and very reasonable, with a lot of character. We were on motorcycles, and felt they were safe there, we were all soaking wet, the they let us use their dryer to dry all our clothes. Nothing to eat very... More

I've been wanting to stay here ever since I saw this on Facebook. So for my Birthday Motorcycle Vacation we went out of our way to make this one of our stops! It did not disappoint! The clowns in the Lobby were fun and made for a great photo op for our PacaBuddies who were traveling with us! Although I... More

OK, I admit it, my wife and I are hotel snobs. I have not stayed at a "no tell motel" in over fifty years. We had spent the day, with our two dogs, in Yosemite. We went in the west entrance and out the east entrance. We were headed to Las Vegas itch planning on getting a room for the... More

Left Lee Vining on motorcycle's in driving rain storm for 85 miles on 120. So we arrived in Tonopah soaked. After check in and cranking up the heat, which stunk up the room, we changed clothes and had a nice walk to dinner. Beds, sheets, towles were all good. We paid 3 times as much in Bridgeport for a smaller... More

We normally stay at chain motels, but that was not available and we were ready to stop after a long day. Our room was not really up to date, but it was clean and spacious. They were friendly and helpful with dinner choices. They have quite a clown collection in the office. The motel sits next to an old cemetery... More

One of our last stops on a 3 week road trip. A lady in Reno had told us about the Clown Motel and shown us pictures and we thought it sounded fun and at $45 it was very cheap. The clowns in the office were a bit scary but the only clowns in the room were pictures over the bed... More
