A solid bucket list motel to stay. The owner is a stand up guy who really cares about your visit to his business. Nothing extraordinary happened to me. My wife and our friend stayed at a fancier multistory property just up the road. I know my bed was more firm (which I prefer) as we visited each others accommodations. Don't hesitate to stay and be able to state the facts of the Clown Motel.

My wife and I stayed here at the request of our grandchildren. We travelled from the Uk and made this a stop on our road trip from LA to vegas. The accommodation was clean and great to stay the night. We did video call our grandchildren and they were thrilled to see all the clowns, cemetery and room. The owners were great and welcoming Thanks

I was there with friends, we had three rooms. Two of the rooms had no hot water, one of them had a non-functioning toilet. The heat in my room was wonky and the sheets were stained. Everything about our rooms was run down. I reported the wonky heat to the owner he fiddled with it and made it halfway work. I asked what was wrong with it he said "it must be the Clown". He said he was there for us 24/7 if we needed any more help but later I tried to get more help with more problems but the office was locked and he was nowhere to be found. Stay away from the Clown Motel.

Drive up and one says hmmm, not much, not fancy. Then the thoughts start coming to mind. Drive a bit further into the parking lot and BAM, there is the BOOT HILL....the real deal! Yes, it has ghosts! It is haunted. BOO!

Such a fun place to stay! I was impressed that the room was renovated and the linens were clean and the bed super comfy! The motel staff were amazing people. Went here for a haunt (was trying to decide which was more haunted, this motel or the Mizpah) but didn’t get a haunt at either but definitely had more fun here! So many awesome guests. Can’t beat the cemetery next door! Had such a blast here. Would totally recommend to anyone looking for anything “different” on their stay. Awesome. 5/5

This is a dumpy, poorly maintained, overpriced motel. We booked a “suite” which was a room with a king. The first didn’t have a working shower. We were both moved and the 2nd one didn’t have either. Not worth $120. The Motel 6 we stayed at in another town for $60 was way better. Wrote the owner for a refund and got no reply.

Okay so going in we knew this wasn’t a four or even three star place but we were going for the experience. So here’s my suggestion.. visit because it’s cool just don’t stay because that isn’t. Very run down, noisy (don’t stay on the first floor). Both nights we were woke up around 5-6 am by people walking back and forth in the room above us. As far as themed motels go I have been to so much better… IT room wasn’t anything special at all, basic clown room was even worse.. people live there too… like I said, stop by, take pics but don’t stay unless you are okay with less than motel 6 standards and I am not!

I stayed in the "it" suite,it was nice, yes the motel is run down but they are in the process of redoing it.the bed & bath were clean, the coffee maker not so much.there was also an open beer in the fridge, maybe an offering to the spirits?lol.I slept well, the front mirror did seem to have a prescence,& I was woken up out of a dead sleep but what felt like a small dog or cat crawling into bed with me.I will definatly stay here again, maybe trying a different room, also there was no hair drier that I could find, the owner was amazing!

I was very excited to take my daughter here on Friday the 13th. When I arrived at 3pm I was asked to wait an hour for my room to be finished. We drove around and noticed the local cops pulling people over constantly. I returned at 4, got our room and went to check it out. It was room 206, upstairs. We got into the room and were checking out the clown pictures and I was noticing the room didn't seem clean. I checked the sheets and it was obvious they hadn't been changed. There were hairs, crumbs and bugs in the bed. I have never, ever been given a dirty room at a motel. I went down to the front desk, told the guy there, and he said someone would come change them. My daughter and I sat in the room for an hour. No one came. By this time I was just ready to go. I was feeling frustrated that I had been given a dirty room and sad that our fun adventure had been ruined. I went back to the front desk. The guy told me the sheets had been changed but they were just stained. He did not apologize, just made excuses. He did offer me another room, but I didn't want to stay in a dirty motel where they are lying to me. I asked for my money refunded. He said I'd have to do it online. I wrote emails requesting my refund. The marketing department also made excuses and denied me. They said I needed to write a letter to the owner. I sent a letter that was returned because the address they gave me was wrong (which is also the address on the website). I tried getting a refund through PayPal which was also denied because the owner's reply admitted that my room was dirty and then offered more lies about apologizes and being offered an upgraded room which I never was. Don't go here. Maybe some of the rooms are clean and updated, but some aren't. Some are very gross and dirty. You will be treated poorly if you are disappointed by the motel (read the responses on here). If you must go, DON'T PAY IN ADVANCE.
