This was my first visit to Tahoe and Harvey's was our hotel choice because it was affordable and we knew it was recently renovated. The room was fantastic. The bathroom was huge, included a vanity area alongside the sink as well as a second vanity near the shower. Shower was large, temperature good though pressure was lacking. Bed was comfy, pillows were lackluster. TV was huge. There was a fridge despite it being listed fridges were removed. The window style let's you get a great view no matter where your room was. We were facing the parking lot but the panoramic window allowed us a good view of the lake as well. Rest of the resort was good. Casino was clean, service was timely. Staff was doing a great job enforcing the mask mandate and there was a lot of cleaning going on between gamblers. The sports bar, Joe's had some good eats and the people working there we super friendly. Casino was a bit more chill compared to it's sister property Harrah's. Each one had its own unique vibe which was nice. Really easy to hop back and forth.

First off we use to come up to Tahoe every year for 7 years straight! We usually stayed at Harvey’s or Harrahs. The rooms themselves are wonderful! The hotel is a little rundown, but that can all be overlooked had the dining options been better! The HardRock Cafe is no more! My guess is because of the conflict with the HardRock Casino next door. Was shocked to see it empty! No more Cabo Wabo Cantina, this is truly sad! Hells Kitchen is over priced. The gaming is what’s to be expected here. Take 90% and give 10% all in all Tahoe has gone down hill and I’m guessing the pandemic is mainly to blame. Having said that it was a pleasant surprise they stopped charging for parking! Lastly the resort fee should just be included in the hotel room price! That’s a ridiculous fee that is rarely used! Other then that are stay was fine! Enjoy everyday on this planet to the fullest!

Thank you for sharing your experience. We truly appreciate your loyalty and feedback. We have reduced capacity in our restaurants due to state-mandated social distancing mandates. We have extended hours of operations of some restaurants and offer some additional space. We look forward to full operations so we can better serve you. TaCo. now operates in the old Cabo Wabo space. We apologize your trip was not a winning one. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope to serve you again in the future.

I stayed here for Valentines day weekend. I had the worst experience of my life, We were attacked by our neighbors, there was hair and dirt all over the room which I asked numerous times to be cleaned. When I called the manager after the weekend regarding the attacking incident he refused to refund my weekend, took days to call me back then told me I would have a full refund of my stay in which I still don't have. My next door neighbor attacked me pushed me and touched me. I reported it to the police as well, not to mention the filth of the hotel. I would not recommend staying here whatsoever

We apologize for the experiences you described and are disappointed our team was not more empathic and responsive. Any alleged assaults are handled by the Sheriff's department and third-party risk agency after the Security report has been taken. Our team must follow the guidelines set by those parties. It is never acceptable to check into a dirty room and apologize for the issues you noted. We are sorry your stay was marred by unfortunate events. Your feedback has been shared so the appropriate parties are aware of the situation.

I’ve previously reviewed Harvey’s, as it is where we like to stay and play when we are in South Lake Tahoe. Prior to COVID, as Caesar’s Diamond Members, having access to the Laurel Lounge at Harrah’s/Harvey’s was a perk that we really enjoyed. It was a great place to relax, have some complementary soup and salad, and some complementary high-end drink options. We’ve now visited a few times during COVID and although we completely understand the logic of the lounge being closed, not having this perk does impact our overall experience. To make up for this, Caesar’s Rewards did offer Diamond Members 4-$12 Laurel Lounge drink tickets per day (we see that it is $20 in Las Vegas). However, we noticed that they’ve reduced the well drink and wine glass size. Then, on this last visit, we see they’ve changed it so that you get 3-Laurel Lounge drink tickets and 1-$8 Starbucks ticket, adding a further reduction to this perk. So far we’ve not had any news on the long term status of the Laurel Lounge. Although South Lake Tahoe, is in my opinion, one of the most beautiful locations to visit, Harrah’s/Harvey’s casino floors don’t reflect the location and are really dated looking (almost depressing). Previously, this was balanced by the overall experience, as in addition to the Diamond Member perks, we enjoy the updated rooms and the staff throughout the property. All of the above has us reconsidering our relationship with this location. As Diamond Members, we will be on the look out for news of the status of the Laurel Lounge prior to choosing this as a Caesar’s property to visit.

We appreciate your ongoing loyalty and Diamond-tier status in our Caesars Rewards program. Your comments were shared with our Marketing, Beverage and Executive management teams. We also wish we could reopen the Laurel Lounge; however, due to social-distancing protocols, we simply cannot safely do so in Douglas County. (The ROW properties are in Washoe County). We look forward to more information about reopening standards next month. We hope you will return and visit us again. Thank you.

One of the worst hotels we have stayed at in a long time. We were placed in the old tower with our room backed up to the elevators so not only did we get to hear conversations all night and morning, we also got to listen to the elevators go up and down all night and morning. I had asked for a non-smoking room, we could smell someone smoking weed somewhere around us- you could smell it in the room and even worse in the hallway. When we asked about it at the desk (just to make sure we were on a non-smoking floor) the rude person at the desk treated us like idiots because “they follow federal law and that is not allowed”. Well guess what, someone is either getting high on our floor or brought their pet skunk. Then I asked about the $205 hold on my card when the remaining balance was only $120, she said it was for incidentals and the $28.50 resort fee per night. On my receipt I was quoted as $25 a night. She proceeded to tell me I had booked from a 3rd party and that the receipt I had was wrong. I tried to tell her I booked directly from Harvey’s website and she continued to argue with me. I finally quit arguing and left the front desk. I can’t imagine staying in this place again. I guess the customer is always wrong.

We apologize for the experiences you described. We hope you were able to call the Front Desk for support with the smell. We do not allow smoking marijuana in our hotel or casino. We are particularly disappointed our team member did not better handle the price discrepancy. The resort fee would still apply regardless of booking site; however, there is a more respectful way to share that. Thank you for letting us know so we can follow up with our team.
