Had a great time at the Train concert at Harveys on Friday night! This hotel used to be a great hotel and in the last 10 years this hotel has gone down hill. They charge a 28.00 resort fee with no valet service at checking in and no housekeeping for your stay! The pool and the pool bar at the pool is open with little service and the chairs and chaise lounges are about 30 years old and all of them are broken or falling apart. I call the hotel operator and I was on hold for 10 mins! I got the hotel operator from Las Vegas helping me nobody from Harvey's to help. Plus we ate at the Sage room for dinner and service was average and food was good but we were there for a birthday and they never acknowledged it until we started singing happy birthday and I said it was in the Reservation notes. This hotel used to be a 4 star hotel and I would give it 2 stars only.

This place is a nightmare, beginning with their crappy check-in process. The rooms are old, rundown and completely overpriced. The only saving grace is their outdoor concert arena. I would never stay here again, even if they paid me! Place is just short of a dump.

We made a last minute 1 day trip to Tahoe from Sacramento with my adult children. After reviewing a number of smaller hotels we decided to go with the bigger casion hotel Harvey's so we had options if there was an issue with room. A side note, many of the reasonably price options in South Lake Tahoe looked more like 2-3 star options and mostly small travel lodge types. We ended up paying $450 a night per room for two double queen rooms. Are first set of rooms was in the "old" tower and smelt like smoke. My wife is fairly sensitive to smells and I am not. In this case, it was bad and obvious to me. Harvey's quickly sets up in another set of rooms in the same tower 3 floors up. Same thing! We then asked to cancel our reservation and they offered to move us to the "new" tower at no extra cost (beyond the $900 we had already paid). The front desk was polite and was willing to cancel and work with us if this didn't work. The room was nice and fairly spacious. I would still grade this "new" room as a 3 star. I am also not a fan of casino life in general so this probably slanted my opinion. We stayed and had a nice time in Tahoe. If you need to stay here and don't love cigarette smoke ask for the new tower ahead of time.

Check in process was a disaster. They said they didn’t have the room we booked available even though we booked MONTHS in advance. The casino is dirty and gross— very smokey. The room was large but outdated and not well cleaned or up-kept. We didn’t get much sleep because the bed was so lumpy and uncomfortable. You also cannot have rooms serviced— which we have run into before but they compensate you for the inconvenience— not here. You have to run down to drop off your dirty towels and get new ones and hope you can grab a housekeeper turning rooms over to take your trash. No one looks like they want to work there, so it makes it a little hard for me to want to give them my money on that front as well. Plenty of other establishments to support that are actually service driven and take care of their staff so they give good customer service.

Room Tip: Parking is self park only— $20/day; no housekeeping services are available; very dated interiors...

There is no one that cleans your room, even with staying there 6 days. You have to get own towels, take own towels out to room service yourself. The casino had a terrible Smokey smell and air on the Friday and Saturday of our stay. Service was close to non existing. Blame everything on Covid, but seemed more like a money grab to me. Disappointed after 20 years of visitation.

The rooms smelt of smoke, the elevators had broken glass and drinks left in them. There were drinks left all over the hotel. The pillows were uncomfortable. The hotel was not a good location from the lake - no easy access.

We backpacked 3 days and destroyed our dogs paws. Tourists looked at us crazy but staff was accommodating and made the check-in simple. Shout out to Mitch the bell hop for his understanding and Tricia the maid for her part.

As a lot of other people have mentioned, everything was run down and many things were in need of repair. Our room was in the older part of the hotel. The room was small, needed updating, and the walls were so thin we could hear people every time they walked down the hallways. We tried to request an upgraded room, but they were booked and apparently couldn’t do anything because we had booked through a third party. The elevators were also sketchy and at one point we almost got stuck in one. Someone near our room was smoking pot, and the hallways and elevator reeked of it. The arcade had multiple games that didn’t work properly, the pool was way too cold and the hot tub was out of service. The resort fee doesn’t make a lot of sense because so much was in disrepair and we still had to pay $20 for parking per day. The rooms weren’t cheap to begin with. Harrahs had a lot more going for it-better amenities, better casino, etc. The one perk was that we were allowed to use their indoor pool, which was so much nicer than Harvey’s. However, their hot tub was also closed. We were also able to get a mini fridge free of charge. Overall, we were very disappointed in this hotel. After having a lovely trip there about 16 years ago, it was a big let down.

We went to a summer series concert. We thought it would be great to stay at Harveys as it is Cesars Hotel and we love Cesars in Las Vegas. Disappointing doesn't describe our room. The room cost Cesars Palace price (over $350.00), with tile missing from shower, knicked walls, hard beds garbage visiable from the window ledge. Long waits for very small elevotors It was awesome in 1970 I'm sure, time for a remodel!!!!
