This hotel is excellent. The front desk is so friendly and helpful. And the view from my room is awesome. I am so happy and relax in the room looking out the window at the beautiful scenery and snow covered mountains and town.

This place has really gone downhill. Besides being in terrible need of an update, at least one escalator not working every time I'm there, restaurant space sitting vacant (the old Hard Rock Cafe on the casino level), and removing most top shelf spirits from all the bars, they have the nerve to charge you a $30/night "resort fee" when there is no housekeeping service and the hottub both at Harvey's an Harrah's don't work. Garbage sits in the hallways for over 24 hours. The place is a dump. Only redeeming quality is the proximity to the ski lifts.

Bibi - Front Desk Manager at Harvey's Casino Resort is the true definition of providing an Excellence in Customer Service Experience. She went above and beyond in assisting me with several requests during my recent stay. She is both professional and efficient but most importantly makes me feel welcomed each and every time I visit her desk. Thank you Bibiana!

Very comfortable beds, very clean room (upon check in) and modern, renovated bath. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room has refrigerator but no microwave. Large flat screen television with many channels. The room included a coffee service with good coffee. We were disappointed to be charged a $29/day resort fee. This was especially true since we got no house keeping services while there for 3 days. The $12/day parking was convenient but the parking decks were very dimly lit and very unclean. Convenient to casinos and just up the road from two great breakfast places: Zephyr Cove Resort and the Red Hut.

I’ll be honest, first impressions were not great and their check in process is horrible. The rooms are not ready on time and this seems to be a regular theme, and there was a significant lack of communications during the wait. But they made it right and the rest of the stay was phenomenal so much so, I changed my initial rating from a 2 to a 5. The service staff in the hotel was amazing, some of the best drink service on the casino floor of any of Caesars properties. The room (after I was moved to a different tower) was nice, the variety of restaurants great, the location was perfect and I enjoyed some of the little events and entertainment options they had throughout the week. The casino was also really nice with a good variety of options for everyone and never very crowded. I highly recommend and cannot wait to visit again.

I took my daughter skiing for her birthday, and we skied all day Sunday and decided to go to South Lake Tahoe for an overnight stay before going skiing again Monday. Harvey's looked convenient, but we couldn't find a reliable online price so we went to the desk, got a price from the desk clerk, went to park the car and came back and only 5 minutes later we were given a much higher price. It ended up being over $200 for a Sunday night, and the room was no better than a Motel 6 room. This was the first red flag. We made our way to the room, and there were many noticeable signs of a hotel that was looking pretty desperate. Dirty carpets, very dimly lit hallways, layers of peeling wallpaper everywhere you looked, missing tiles, a very dated 70s decor. More missing tiles in the bathroom, and an access panel above the shower was corroded and peeling paint. We hung up our ski things and got ready to go have dinner at harrah's, a sister Hotel. Bizarrely, the steakhouse on the 18th floor was closed, even though it was only about 7:00 on a Super Bowl Sunday night. we opted for the Italian restaurant on the same floor. The wait staff was annoying, constantly interfering in our conversation, and trying to fill our 92% full water glasses anytime they passed by. Nothing remarkable about the dinner, I had the Orecchiette pasta, which tasted fine, but now I'm guessing it was the bacteria that gave it it's flavor. 3 hours later I had evacuated my entire dinner, and was in painful GI distress. We made our way back to the room, and the ancient HVAC system pumped out really dry air, but shutting it off was not an option because the bedding consisted of a sheet, covered by a thicker sheet, on top of a spongy bed. Because of the dry air we woke up extremely congested and feeling miserable from The Biohazard dinner the night before. It was obvious we weren't going to be able to go skiing, so we decided to head back home and packed up. Checked out at 9:00 a.m., went to the desk and found out that our the charge for parking had gone from $15 Sunday night when we parked to $20 Sunday morning when we're checking out. Apparently they have flexible parking rates, so you could wake up and find that your $15 parking actually is going to be $50. I take this as just another sign of a desperate failing Hotel. When we got home I discovered that I had left my Arc'teryx saber ski jacket ($700gift) hanging in the hotel closet. I called the hotel and got the housekeeping manager, and even though it was only about 6 hours later, of course the jacket was gone. They were very evasive about who I could talk to about this problem, they were not very responsive so I had to call several times over the next few days before I finally got in touch with the head of security. He explained that he would go and double check, and of course found nothing and said there was nothing that they could do, reminding me that the small plaque on the back of the room door claims they have no liability, which sounds like anything in your room is fair game! Harrah's and Harvey's use a third party housekeeping service, so I don't think they have a very good grasp of the people that are going into your room and cleaning it. The head of security really didn't seem to mind that there are criminals working in their hotel, and the impression he gave me was that he really didn't think Hotel staff steals things from their guests rooms. I will pursue this through Nevada small claims court, hopefully I'll get some better treatment there! Harrah's and Harvey's are both owned by Caesars entertainment, so the phrase Caveat Emptor is very fitting!

Was there for a friend group ski rip. the room was OK and clean but housekeeping never showed up once. Multiple things did not work and the hallways and common areas were beat up. The hotel needs a serious renovation. It is not well maintained and appears very old and worn out. Price was not exactly low either. It was a good location for skiing since it was not far from the gondola. But I would look around elsewhere. It really needs a major overhaul.

No maid service that was not mentioned when checking in. Our stay was for 4 nights and we had to request towels, soap, shampoo and for the trash to be taken out. Had to change rooms due to the air conditioning not working. Lobby and casino very dated. Very smoky smell throughout. Best part was the Hells Kitchen restaurant

I last visited this hotel about 15 years ago and I don’t think they have spent a $ on the rooms since. We are on the 5th floor with four dogs in separate rooms that bark at different times, after two days despite asking the cleaner to clean the room still had not been done. The electrical socket in the bathroom is hanging off the wall and despite booking six months ago when our reservation had free parking they will not honour despite me being disabled. The hot tub is closed despite the website not saying this and there is an outrageous $29 a day resort fee! My advice is to keep away from when I have spoken to front desk staff about the issues they just shrug their shoulders and are not interested.

Harvey's is my fav place to stay and ski Lake Tahoe. I stay 3 nights and ski Heavenly 3 days and hit Northstar on the fourth day on my return to the bay area. The price is reasonable and they have covered self-parking. I stayed at their sister hotel Harrah and their self-parking is outdoors and the parking lot is icy and dangerous. It's 1,000 steps from the Harvey's tower closest to the lake to the Heavenly ski gondola (I'm short and take small steps). I have no complaints other than the smokey air of the casino. The rooms do have a refrig and a coffee maker in them post covid.
