What a great place to unplug! The views of the lake are spectacular from this property! The Bistro restaurant is amazing! Although our room did not have a lake view the pine trees and mountains are nothing to complain about. Service at the hotel and restaurants are attentive. The employees are genuinely kind.

Great location. Terrible food- the quality is awful. The service is even worse. The bedding is motel6- terrible mattress, pillows, have to beg to get your room cleaned some time during the day. It’s a management problem. All the reviews are consistent. The cherry on top is the resort fee scam they play. Stay at the Ritz. This hotel will get few returning, lots of new guests and won’t hold a 4 star review over the long run

After stalking this hotel for months I brought my family to Edgewood expecting the beautiful forest view advertised. Didn’t get lake view because the view of the trees is what looked more appealing. We arrive and it’s a view of a parking lot. Horrible letdown. A day or two later they moved us to one that we should’ve been in from the start. For that price no one should have a parking lot view. Put a damper on the beginning of our trip. The food at the bistro was underwhelming but good. It’s right in the lobby so convenient. The views and food at the restaurant overlooking the golf course was fantastic though. Should’ve gone there every time. We hired a driver upon recommendation from the hotel, Steve. He honestly made our trip worthwhile. He came and took us to see the sights around Tahoe every day. He was knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to be around. Picked us up from the airport and dropped us off as well. It was our daughters birthday, and upon request the staff set up a table and bought balloons for her outside. Her cake was dropped off and the staff set it up at the table for us. It was really special and we really appreciated it. The pool has a nice design feature around the edges and is heated pretty warm which was great. And it’s open really late... 9 I think. Don’t quote me. We ran into Michael Franzese (ex Italian mob) and that was probably my husbands favorite part of the whole trip. It’s a beautiful hotel and the rooms all have fireplaces to sit by. They hand out s’mores packs in the evenings for kids to make on the patio. Nice touch. I don’t think we’ll be back due to our initial room placement and the fact that they overcharged our card when we got home. But no one can deny it’s an incredible location and has many excellent features. Recommend trying it out.

We arrived last night at Edgewood. The resort is gorgeous. The restaurant is yummy. They are challenged on juggling their room situation and front desk service. At this price point, you would expect the front desk to answer when you are calling from the room vs. having it ring endlessly to have them hang up on you or having to go to the front desk in person. If you want to play golf, don't depend on the concierge to make tee times or the golf shop to answer their phone. You need to show up in person. Online you also cannot make tee reservations for 1 person...not sure the logic on that. While we are one of the few families with young kids (7 & 10), it is a bit strange that they don't have a kids' menu for breakfast (only offers a mickey mouse pancake). Yet they offer a great kids menu for dinner. We realize they are at full capacity and have been open since May, so you would think they would have worked out the kinks.

Thank you so much for your review and comments, we take each one very seriously and they are an opportunity for us to improve. We understand your frustration and apologize for the several delays you experienced with phone service. I can assure you that we do our very best to answer all calls as quickly and efficiently as possible, but unfortunately during high demand periods it is difficult. We also realize that to bypass the phone delays to be able to book single golfers would be helpful. We are getting a new golf platform shortly that may give us more flexibility and not then loose the ability to book a 4-some in that same slot, especially on high demand dates. We have followed up with our Food and Beverage department to take a look at a breakfast children's menu down the road. Please feel free to email us your contact information at edgewood@edgewoodtahoe.com if we can be of any further assistance. Thank you again and we hope to have the opportunity in the future to have you as a guest.
