The Sands is an overall good place to stay. Clean friendly and if you have a problem the staff is eager to solve it. The rooms are not decorated high end, modern, or any of that sort, but what you do get is cleanliness, staff that is on call and ready to be of service, and a comfortable place to...

Overall, my wife and I were pleased with this hotel and hotel room. We stayed seven nights and had a room on the 15th floor of Empress tower overlooking the mountains and I 80 to the west. Several observations: 1. no coffee maker in room, but yet they had a hair dryer (I'd gladly have the former than the latter)...

After my flight was canceled a few hours before departure I used hotel tonight to book a room at Sands for $15. Upon arrival the front desk staff were nice and didn't even put a hold on my credit card for damages. Our room had a great view of downtown and the furniture was a cool kitschy art deco style....

The Sands was clean, friendly, and a lot of fun. We played at the Casino (didn't win... but had a great time) and ate at the Buffet which was good and had great prices. We like that our points add up for other places too in Vegas and Primm. We were in a motor coach so the location was perfect...

One of the first things you will notice is that the decor is very dated CRT TV, rounded dresser. But looking past that it is very clean, a very comfortable bed and everything works. Stay away from the buffet there is definitely better places to eat. We ate there on Seafood night and it was bad with the suprising exception...

Some of the rooms need updating, furniture, and linens. Staff is friendly and helpful. Not fancy place, quiet at times with lots of benefits from casino. Restaurants are very convenient, about 3 to choose from. Mel's is so wonderful, friendly and open 24/7. Many comps for food that you earn when gambling!

The Sands Regency is a mixed bag. It's a very nice place to stay, play, eat, and vacation. But, it's not the best looking place from the outside, and there is no valet parking service. I've stayed there twice, and for an economy hotel, it's a winner.

The saying is perfect for this hotel/casino. I was expecting a less attractive casino and when I walked in, it was nice and amazing (e.g., perfect lighting, machines are new, floor carpeting is well kept, place including restrooms are overall clean and tidy).

The card table dealers were super helpful and nice to chat with! The buffet was worth more than the $11 we paid for, our server RJ was friendly and upbeat, and even our carver looked happy to be doing his job. Overall, I will definitely go back, our experience there was better than most higher rated hotels. Don't overlook this...
