There are many nice hotels to stay in Reno, Nevada, The Sands Regency is NOT one of them. We wanted to see the New Year's fireworks in Reno (which are fantastic) and were looking for a decent value in a place to stay. We've traveled a lot over the years and this is one of the worst hotel experiences we've...

The food here was great. The rooms were very worn and need updating. For us it was in just the right location. The employees were very friendly and helpful. We will go back but maybe we will select somewhere else next time.

Stayed 4 nights at the Sands. Overall pleased with the property. Only draw backs from my perspective are No indoor Pool/ Spa, Lack of High Definenition TV in rooms. But then again it is a Budget Conscious Hotel property.

Blankets don't come up to your face and if they did they wouldn't cover your feet. What am I saying? What I should be saying is 'Where are the blankets?" The blankets are so thin you might as well call them sheets. No hotel directory in any of the drawers. Couldn't find or decide where to go or what to...

Christmas was spent here and we (family of 4) had a nice time. The hotel first off is pet friendly and we brought a pet. It was busy, but not overly crowded, the prices were very nice and the food was good. The down size was that one of the elvevators was out of order and it caused a bit...

My husband and I stayed here in the summer - the pool is awesome it is huge - I hear it is the biggest in Reno. I like that this hotel is off the beaten path when we would walk to Virginia St. we were able to see and do things we wouldn't normally be able to. We also like...

I hate to write a not good review. I understand the hotel is old but wow old. Everything was really dated. The crowd it attracted didn't make us feel comfortable. Also they might need more air purifiers this hotel is the one that smelled the most of smoke. . Parking sucked due to we couldn't park in the parking garage...

Front desk personel very friendly. Ease of check in. Gave me all they information I needed. Security on the floor friendly. Room was clean. Modern for a seasoned property. Conveniently located. Ease of parking with ample parking. Buffet was not the best. Limited selections. Looked like many locals frequented the property for gaming. Over all a good hotel to stay...

This hotel is right downtown, close to the river walk. The rooms were large and comfortable, but a little out dated. There are several restaurants on site we had breakfast at the diner. It was affordable with good service and good food

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I don't write reviews but the hotel's attitude about the situation has led me to share the truth about Sands. I stayed here for one night on New Years. The room was a lot more spacious than expected and although outdated, was quiet and seemed pretty clean. Looking back, I regret it but at the time...
