As a previous reviewer said the check-in line was pretty long on a late Saturday afternoon. I counted only a few front-desk clerks. The room itself was re-modeled and done very nicely. Because of the COVID changes the tables in the casino were extremely high minimum bets. The Row had a number of restaurants closed. Not a lot of options and because of limited capacity you couldn't really get a reservation. Since the buffets are all closed it seemed like all the guests decided to check out early. The line for the parking elevators was long. With all the modifications it's best to go back and visit when things get back to normal.

I never thought I would mention "masks" in a hotel review, but here we are. On check-in, everyone's temperature was checked and disposable masks were given to anyone needing them.. Signs everywhere in the hotel and casino say masks are required, and I'd say 99% of the guests and 100% of the staff I saw over 3 days wore them. That's a better percentage than I see almost anywhere else. But back to the hotel. I'm not a "casino hotel" kind of person, but the midweek rates were exceptional, so I couldn't pass it by, compared to the equally nice non-casino hotels in the area. Very clean, updated, nice room - there wasn't anything I didn't care for. Maybe half the restaurants were open, due to current circumstances. I only ate one meal in the hotel, at The Cafe for breakfast, which was very good. The pool area was okay, nothing particularly interesting, but the children were happy. I would stay here again the next time I'm in Reno. 2 thumbs up!

My boyfriend and I have stayed at Eldorado a few times and loved it. When we went to book for my 30th birthday this weekend, due to Covid, Silver Legacy was the first to open again and we thought we’d give it a try. The mention of newly remodeled rooms sounded awesome and we thought we’d change things up a bit as to where we stay. We got a Player’s Suite with a nice view and really enjoyed the room. The remodel was very pretty, we really loved the huge relaxing two person tub, and the bed was very comfortable! The casino in SL was nice and they did a pretty good job of making sure Covid protocol was displayed and followed. We also ate at The Brew Brothers, between SL/Eldorado/Circus Circus, and the food and beers were great! Now here comes the annoyance and why I say “everything was great but”...We were trying to enjoy our second night of sleep before having to drive back home when we were awoken by VERY loud screaming and yelling and fighting from our neighbors next door at 5am. I mean...I could quote exactly what was said if needed. We gave it a little bit to see if it would settle, I’ve worked in hotels where there’s surrounding bar and party areas, I get it...but it didn’t stop. And didn’t sound like it would be any time soon by the increasing level of noise and excessive swearing. To sum up our experience with security, whom we had to call twice because it quieted down a bit then started up again at the same intensity, they didn’t seem to really enforce any sort of rules and sounded too lenient. We thought we were in the clear and were able to sort of fall back asleep while ignoring their loud music, but it started up again at 7am...the same intense fighting and yelling and swearing and door slamming, to which we called security again. Needless to say, we didn’t sleep much and nothing much was resolved until the people left to do whatever at 7am. We ended up checking out a lot earlier than planned because of this annoyance. I ended up letting the front desk agent know, which she didn’t even ask how our stay was upon check out, because it’s ridiculous to have had called security three times. We understand, it’s Reno, it’s a party city, we get it. But this was out of hand. She informed me that, as a hotel, “we usually don’t compensate for other guest disturbances, but I’ll remove the resort fee for you...this time”. So, admittedly, your establishment doesn’t care if their guests have a nice stay or not while paying a pretty penny for a suite, or any amount of money for any room, for that matter. The fact that there were people very aggressively fighting at all hours and security having to be called didn’t even seem to phase the agent. It wasn’t even about the money for me at that point, it was more about the agent not really caring when a concern was brought up and stating they don’t usually take disturbances from surrounding guests as an issue. We’d like to give the hotel another try, as we thoroughly enjoyed the room and everything else and had a mostly nice time. But the response at the desk seemed sort of dismissive and uncaring. And if that’s how it goes at SL, it may not be right for us and that’s fine, we’ll just stay elsewhere.

What a great spot in Reno! With Harrahs now closed, I made the jump over to El Dorado, and wish that I wouldv'e done it years ago. Smooth check in, upgraded rooms, great location. Once we parked the truck, we did not need to return until departure.

The staff wear masks. Customers in general do not. I found this disturbing. I was surprised that the management did not enforce mask usage. Seems like they do not care if the virus spreads. The three properties of the Row all are like this with 90% of customers not wearing masks.
