Circus Circus Reno garners a mix of feedback from guests, with praise for its clean and modern accommodations and the convenience of complimentary parking. However, some travelers have encountered issues with outdated amenities and cleanliness inconsistencies. While the staff's friendliness is often noted, unresponsiveness and malfunctioning amenities have marred the experience for others. The atmosphere is generally seen as safe and tidy, but the hotel's value is questioned, especially given the high resort fees and additional charges for limited amenities.

We stayed here a few nights during Hot August Nights and used Chase points to pay for our room. I did look at the regular prices and feel if we had to pay full price, we would not have stayed here.

We choose this hotel since it was on the strip where a lot of the Hot August Nights activities were.

Our room was a mini suite which was actually pretty nice and updated. The bathroom could’ve been cleaner. When we got there, there was a shirt and curly hair on the bathroom floor. Gross.

The beds are comfortable and after all the Covid no room cleaning, it was nice to have the bathroom cleaned fresh towels daily and the bed made daily. The bathroom still looks old and weathered.

The AC worked well and it was nice there was a unit in the living area and another in the bedroom. The furniture was nice and the carpet seemed clean.

The halls and rest of the hotel however look old and smelled a bit musty. We got there on a Wednesday and the shuttle wasn’t in service seems like the only run it on weekends.

The check in, yikes, long wait. You would think during a huge event they would have more check in counters open. They charge $28 for early check in which we bit the bullet since 1) we got the room with pints and 2) the walk from the parking lot was a little long and we didn’t want to worry about our luggage.

There are a couple stairs between the two towers you need to carry your luggage up and down which is pretty annoying. They did have wheelchair lifts but still.

It would be nice if you could find out which tower you will be in so you can park in the closer parking lot. It’s a far walk from each tower and it’s connecting parking lots.

One of the nice things is how this hotel is connected by a midway to Silver Legacy and El Dorado. It was hot and so the ability to walk though a/c was nice.

We only tried Madam Butterwork restaurant. Food was tasty, service was ok. Everyone working there looks like they hate working there. Prices are high.

Most of the restaurants in all three connected hotels had long waits so we mostly ate outside of downtown.

Self parking is free, so that was nice.

The mini suites are very roomy.

Don't remember what weekend I was there, but I think it was Nov 23. I used my monthly comp for a room and got an "uppgraded suite" which was just a bigger room with a living area and kitchenette. My only complaint is being on a high floor and no elevators that skip the lower floors and go straight to the 15ht floor or higher. Also, the heater in the bedroom didn't warm up the bathroom and it was cycling between heat and A/C. There is no reason A/C should even think about coming on when its 30 degrees outside!!

Originally very impressed on check-in with the quality of the room, the amenities and the view. But it went downhill after that.

Disliked · 1. Freezer continually leaked water into the fridge.
2. On second day showerhead developed a loud buzzing noise for the rest of the stay.
3. Mar 15: Left room 9 AM, returned 6:30, no housekeeping. I called and they sent someone up, just had them do the basics like replenish coffee and empty wastebaskets.
4. Mar 14: couldn't get Room Service. Supposedly there was a book with menus in room...but not. So I called twice and couldn't get a live person to answer at the Key Tower Reception.

When arriving at the hotel to check in after purchasing my room online I was charged an extra 99.48 in fees and a extra 100 dollars refundable deposit. While I was at the store at 9am, housekeeping came in my room and removed all my items and took them to the lost and found. I was using the restroom when one of housekeeping staff opened my door and walked in on me. When I asked where my stuff was I was told I was checked out at 6am while I was asleep. I was told by front desk that housekeeping never remove belongings especially before check out at 12pm even if the person checks out early. It took them an hour to figure it out and get my stuff back to me. I was told I would be refunded a small amount of the extra fees for the inconvenience. The full amount of 99.48 plus my room came out in full. Oh! And my coffee maker was broke in my room. I will never stay here again or recommend a stay here to anyone. It was a horrible experience. A 160 a night mistake. Stay clear of this place! Stay at the El Dorado instead!

We stay in Reno regularly and almost always stay at Peppermill or Grand Sierra. First time staying at Circus Circus….and it will be the last. Thought it would be fun for the kids. Over $200 for a room with 2 queens in Sky Tower. Tried to book a suite but was told none available and made to believe this was the last room available. Waited over 30 minutes in line to check-in. Was offered upgrade to main tower for additional charge, which we declined unfortunately. Clearly there were other rooms we could have been booked in but at this point did not want to pay extra. At least 3 sets of stairs and a long catwalk bridge to get to the elevator for Sky Tower. Finally got to room and it smelled badly of cigarette smoke. Called front desk. They apologized and said they would move us down the hall and would send someone right away. Waited 15-20 minutes for keys to new room. New room was right next to the elevator which was noisy the entire time. New room smelled fine but was not clean. Hair and bits of toilet paper on the floor, hair in the bathtub, stains on carpet. Old room, chips in wall paint, window had a ton of condensation and was dripping wet by morning. Bathroom was updated but not pleasant, toilet paper holder broken so first use made roll fall onto dirty floor, and tub drain was clogged so tub filled while showering, and no exhaust fan so that didn’t help the moisture in the room. St. Mary’s hospital is across the street. Emergency vehicles with sirens were deployed at least 50 times throughout the night. Between that and the elevators, none of us slept a wink. Bring your earplugs. Planned to go to sushi restaurant but it was closed on a Saturday night. No show in the circus area on a Saturday night. Best part was breakfast at Madame Butterworks, though it cost $100 and we had to wait about 30 minutes to get in.

Where do I even begin. This was the absolute worst hotel stay I have ever had.

1) It started when I checked in and there was a $100 deposit that was never mentioned on their website or in the conformation email.

2) I stayed at the non-gaming tower and the tram was broken the entire time. So the only way to get to the room was through a long, hot, barely air conditioned skywalk.

3) The room was supposed to have a microwave but didn't.

4) The beds were so hard, in the rare even I was tired enough to fall asleep, I would wake up in extreme pain. Not to mention the pillows were so old and used that they had the structural integrity of air. A bag of cotton balls would be an improvement over their beds.

5) The air conditioner in the room struggled any time it got over 85 degrees. Considering that Reno is in a desert, this is absolutely insane.

6) The hotel and restaurants claim to offer room delivery. Except several restaurants (that were open) said they were closed and the rest did not deliver to the circus circus towers.

7) In addition, for the $35 a night "resort fees," there is no pool, a very basic gym, no room service or room delivery, and slow internet. Not sure how that constitutes a "resort."

8) And finally, overall the building is old and dated. Parts of the ceiling is chipping away, the tram was out of order the whole time, AC units barely worked, the water had a weird taste and smell, nothing has been updated in decades.

Overall an absolutely horrendous experience. And considering it is a Ceasers property, I was extremely disappointed. But whatever you do, stay ANYWHERE else but here. The motels across the street would have been a massive upgrade (and cheaper) than what I experienced at this half-delapitaed hotel.

Good lord, I have never encountered a hotel and especially a hotel room that smelled so bad like cigarette smoke. Circus Circus smells like god himself picked up the entire hotel building and dipped it in a vat of cigarette smoke.

Crazy thing is, our room was non smoking and the air conditioner unit vents to the outside. Unfortunately you cannot open the windows which is so lame. Seriously? I’m sure to prevent the trashy hoosiers from smoking out the window , but we wanted it to simply get some fresh air.

Also small trivia fact, there is an escalator broken in every hotel on the row, the team has been broken since months and months ago - they had a sign that it was due to the weather but it was bright sunny days so that was a lie and people have been reporting that for months, and while the room itself was cheaper, they rob you hard on all food court and amenities costs.

We were only there for the air races so 2 nights max. We wouldn’t stay here anymore. It’s really a sad appearance, and not well taken care of.

Checkin is a disaster , the escalators are broken and you will be carrying g your luggage up and down stairs constantly. They have invested little to zero money into this properly and it’s just slower dying. Hard pass next time. And sad about it

We were forced to stay at Circus Circus Reno for a stay and play volleyball tournament. Check in was a nightmare. Some in our group were cancelled for no reason. My sheets had stains on them. When I alerted housekeeping, they took almost two hours to deliver towels to our room at 1:00 am instead of the sheets I needed. Only 2 out of 6 elevators seemed to be working at any given time. The elevator key card took up to 10 times each trip to finally work and allow me to select my floor. Upon checkout, the elevators were not going down causing me and many others to walk 15 plus stories down the emergency exit stairs with luggage. Food court was open at weird hours, not early enough for breakfast and only pizza available after our late games. Even worse, we were required to pay a couple hundred dollars more than avg rates. Avoid this place for sure.

My room was lovely, and the areas of the hotel that I saw during my stay were nice. The staff that I encountered were wonderful, and overall, I enjoyed my stay at Circus Circus Reno. The part that perplexed me is that room service from restaurants within the hotel is not available to Circus Circus guests, yet they'll deliver to El Dorado or Silver Legacy guests that are farther away, and you basically don't find this out until you've gone through most of the order process. You're under the impression that you'll be able to order because it doesn't say anywhere that delivery isn't available to Circus Circus guests, and you only find out after you've made your selections when Circus Circus isn't an option in your choices of where to deliver. And furthermore, if you do decide to pick-up your food, it's an additional $2. Like, really...? Guests should get $2 off instead for the inconvenience. I would've spent around $200 more during my stay had I been able to order room service. Instead, I refused to pay that extra $2 and ordered through Door Dash out of spite. I know that might sound ridiculous, but so is being charged an additional $2 when you're the one being inconvenienced.

If this situation were resolved in the future, I'd absolutely consider staying there again. Great value for the money, and there were plenty of restaurants that I wanted to check out. But unfortunately, I'd have to stay at El Dorado or Silver Legacy if I wanted to order room service.

It started with the check in process. Between getting the car parked and checking in it took 2 hours. Housekeeping never came to our room even after making several calls to the front desk. Final had to flag one of the workers down to get a couple of towels. All the table games were closed and have been for some time apparently. It was the most unpleasant stay that I have had at a hotel in a long time. This place use to be great

Not that I know of. I also do not recommend circus circus unless you are in need of long long long waks. Their rooms are miles away, they designed it to be accessible by tram, but the tram has been broken for years.

I don’t remember the lot you are referencing as I have a vehicle under 7 foot high so just used the free parking garage. The circus circus internal link says that parking for oversized vehicles is at the Circus Circus RV park, within walking distance, but having a $20 charge.
