My friend and I always have a wonderful time here, and staff is always on top of it. Team member Roy Taylor was extremely helpful & kind. Always a guaranteed wonderful time here with so many things to do. They have tons of gambling options & food choices, a huge outside pool, and golfing.

We love coming to GSR because of their staff. Ms. Victoria Sweedler is always very professional, courteous, and friendly when we visit. Ms. Sweedler is knowledgeable and helpful. Make sure to stop by the theater desk and say hello to her.

The good: - Solid rooms. You wouldn’t know it by walking into the resort but the rooms are comparable to some of the nicer hotels I have stayed at. - Pretty quiet. I was worried there would be more noise heard given the size of the hotel and amount of people but was more or less I disturbed for the duration of the visit. - Solid food options. The bad: - Our room smelled of cigarette smoke the entire duration. I know it’s next to impossible to fix this given all the smoking but it is 2022. You’d think a hotel could figure out proper ventilation by now. - Housekeeping was non-existent. A five day stay, I asked for service once and was told they were too busy with check outs. That was a first. Then I asked for clean towels and was no-showed. - Check in is a disaster but I guess given the lack of people working these days it isn’t necessarily the hotels fault. Just go in knowing it’s a good 20-30 minute wait. - Get down to the pool by 10 and get your chair. Otherwise make other plans for the day. If you can somehow afford the $1200 for a cabana go that route instead.

Room Tip: Ask for a room as far away from the elevator as possible. Make your plans early. Expect waits...

We live in Reno but come here every so often for a “staycation”. The rooms are nice , the casino is clean and lively, but our highlight is always visiting the “high limits” room and seeing the bartender An An. She is so outgoing and welcoming - and a GREAT bartender! I almost didn’t want to post this review because I don’t want everyone rushing to this area and making it too crowded - but it’s a great not-so-busy location within the casino and An An makes it worth your while. ☺️

1. They would not let my take my lugguge up to my room. I was checking in and leaving immediately to make an appointment. They promised they would follow me up to my room. They took a different elevator and I did not see them again for 20 minutes. It turns out they wrote the wrong room number on my luggage and my wife managed to hunt them down and get them to the right room eventually. I missed my appointment. 2. I used my room restroom and performed a number two. I went to turn on the bath fan and learned it did not exist. I called the front desk. After 15 minutes of call transfers, they finally connected me to their service person. An hour later he shows up to the room and simply informed me that our room has no bath fan. In my State this does not even meet the building code. They are charging me over $200.00 per night for this room but I have to endure my own stink if I use the bathroom. 3. It is the next day as I am writing this. After being out all day I am back in the room at 5:30PM. The room had not been cleaned. I called the desk and again go through their on hold call transfer process to eventually end up talking to some person that is upset that I am upset. She explains to me that they don't clean the room each day for prolonged stays. After some harsh words, she agrees to send someone up with clean towels. 4. My wife booked this hotel because my Grandson's baseball team is in a tournament at nearby Sparks Nevada. I asked her why we booked a room at a casino (I don't gamble) and that was her reason. I found numerous Hotels available for under $100.00 per night for 6 days. When you ask the front desk about this they explain this is not a Hotel, it is a Resort.. Great a resort that can't even install a bath fan. 5. I would never normally complain about this one, but I am so pissed off at these people now everything gets scrutinized. The Hotel is performing outside construction that blocks the entire front entrance. They have a valet service in place to compensate for it that they are not charging extra for. But be aware that if you are bringing anything of value that you don't want out of your sight, their system does not account for that.

My team is part of the alliance that held a convention there. My specific team is from Florida and we traveled a very long way. We had horrible experiences throughout the whole entire trip coming to Reno because of airline mess ups and luggage being lost. By the time we finally got to Reno we had been up for over 30 hours and we’re exhausted we haven’t received a bit of kindness from the airport staff and just felt defeated. However we came across Jen K. And she was absolutely delightful she could see that we were frustrated and her kindness made it as if none of the stuff happened before. We actually had a decent conversation with her about family and life. She is a rockstar employee. Thank you Jen for making a difference in our stay.

I've gone to the GSR to eat for years and have attended an outdoor concert years ago. I recently started going to indoors metal concerts. Susie, at the Grand Theatre box office is very sweet and nice. She is helpful and friendly. I recommend buying your tickets at the box office, not only to save money, but so you can have an enjoyable person to person experience buying your ticket. I really enjoyed talking with her. Lots of love for you, Susie. Thank you, Vernon

Today was the first night of our stay. Our group consisted of 3 families for a total of 15. We decided to have dinner together at the Grand Cafe and we are writing this review because they were so friendly & accommodating. We were all hungry and appreciated that they were able to seat us almost immediately! (We did break our table into two tables to help too) The food was really good and the service with Tyree G was amazing! Our drink server was also super nice and the manager was great! Thank you and we look forward to returning during our stay.
