Cool place with a great restaurant. No casino hotel on S Virginia St in Reno!!! Awesome! Climbing gym and good looking sauna on the second floor. I was hoping to use them, but did not have the time. The property has suffered, so I am told, from some pandemic issues. The concierge has been shuttered, but the front desk staff are very helpful. I had apps and cocktails in the restaurant before going to a great riverfront restaurant just down the street. Breakfast was even better than my apps! Fantastic omelet, yet the cottage potatoes were a mix of warm and warmer. Still good. The room was good with a comfortable bed. The initial overview of the room was great, then you start to notice the less than optimal upkeep of the paint and amenities. Not horrible, just needed some touch up. I should mention the shower was not draining well at all. PLEASE! If you notice this during your stay, mention it to the staff! They are happy to get maintenance on it! I did and hope it was fixed before the next guest. The property is to become a Hilton family property in January of 2024. I hope to stay there again after to see how it might change.

What a great hotel. Our room was spacious a d bed was so comfortable. We stayed on the club level(money well spent). The continental breakfast concierge was outstanding Shaine is really welcoming and I wanted for nothing. She was attentive , friendy and made my experience with this hotel 10 stars. But to be honest each and every staff member was just so friendly and accommodating. Valet was great and brought our car several times and even got our charger out of the car. Really nice. This is my forever reno hotel. Thank you to all the staff that made our trip so enjoyable.

A huge disappointment. Advertised as something super special exact opposite for me. Customer service was impatient. I appreciate The concept of this hotel. I picked this hotel because of the advertising about customer service and a overall better experience. My experience made me feel uncomfortable. One example.. One customer service person actually accused me of gaslighting her when the reality was she didn't realize she was impatient, rude to me. Conversation started in the lobby where she corrected My conversation about where I stayed few weeks before. Yelled at me said I did not stay at that hotel. Called The plaza Resort.. She said it did not exist. It was a cement block. Untrue.. I tried to stand up for myself because I know I stayed there at the other hotel. It didn't matter anyway I'm a handicap, women, senior, solo traveler why would I lie about that. She was trying to make a point but it wasn't necessary. Once I got my car I actually went back in to try and apologize de-escalate She was going to have none of that. She put her back to me saying a few choice words walked away and left her station abandoned. To my memory I have never stayed at any hotel or anyone's house who treated me so disrespectfully. I will never understand her frustration with me. I cried. I was embarrassed. My feelings were totally crushed. Whatever manager reads this please tell her thank you for ruining my trip. In regards to cleanliness overall good but my room toilet had a black ring inside the toilet.

Room Tip: Parking is $20 a night plus tip. Dog park across the street. Self parking about two blocks...

The Parking Garage is a block away and not safe. There are homeless and sketchy people all over and the booth usually does not have an attendant in it. The exit machine only works 50% of the time. The assistance button said that the number was disconnected. I would not stay at this hotel again. They charge you an extra $20 per day for some Hotel Transient Tax. The attached restaurant doesn't serve lunch. The hallways are lit up red on the room floors, which makes the hotel look like a horror movie location. The laundry room machines are out of order. Not worth it.

When checking in the person at the desk told me she accidentally charged me for the entire stay, as opposed to doing a charge authorization, no problem, I thought. I didn’t notice the charge come though but thought I should mention it when checking out. I let the desk know on checkout and the front desk manager for some reason got aggressive with me and talked down to me explaining how an authorization works - which I fully understand. The person that checked me in was sweet but poorly trained. The manager at the end of my stay should not work in the service industry. She also belittled me when I explained that I had to work at a coffee shop as I didn’t want to pay $9 extra for faster wifi (I can’t remember a hotel in the last 15 years that doesn’t have fast enough basic wifi for streaming zoom/teams meetings) telling me “all I had to do was call the desk” which is odd. I’m not sure why regular speed wifi isn’t simply available. Last complaint, and it’s a small detail as the hotel is under renovation, the toilet did not fully flush and had a permanently stained bowl. I’ve stayed here a few times in the past but will no longer, I come to Reno every 8 weeks or so, not a huge loss to the hotel but I will take my business elsewhere.

Very friendly staff. Rooms super nice and clean. We had breakfast at the restaurant too and the price was fair and food was good. The rooms are also super big. We had so much space. On the virginia street view and that was perfect to see the hot august nights in Reno.

A lot missing from this hotel for the price. This hotel was a let down. For starters room was not available until 3pm and no where to really wait comfortably. The layout of this hotel is just weird. Second the self parking is really about 2 blocks away and very questionable parking facility to say the least. I guess that’s downtown. The air conditioning is a joke. The owners were smart and put the thermostat right under the blower. So it basically shuts off quickly when you turn it on. The room was boiling and yet the ac fan was blowing directly onto the thermostat and it would turn off. I’m sure they save a bundle in electricity. We finally set the ac to the lowest setting and the room still didn’t get cool. If you have a family they may be let down to know there is no pool. Hey we tried and there are much better venues in town.

Skip this place. Dirty, outdated, and in need of new management. If you need wifi to work, don't stay here. If you pay extra for the club lounge, expect cold eggs. There is no place to mingle in the lobby. All around a disappointment. Only positive quality is that it is non-smoking.

Great hotel because it's clean, quiet, super staff, and pet friendly. Thank you to Matina, Ashley, Danielle and Zane for the hospitality in the Club Lounge. Also, we enjoyed our time on the patio and thumbs up to the bartender for the excellent Tahoe Blue Hard Lavender Lemonade drinks. We are looking forward to out next trip to Reno.
