This hotel is has changed owners and management. It is now a residential building for monthly rentals. You are unable to rent for shorter periods. If you are looking for budget hotel you may want to try the Sands. It is a couple of blocks of Virginia Street but is a budget hotel.

Let me start by saying we did not stay here.....& I really hate to give bad reviews but after this experience I felt it was warranted. We did walk through entire property & ate at the Top Deck Restaurant. We played slots for awhile & were never approached by anyone to order a drink. We decided to try the restaurant...

County the casino. Who is the place? That I remember my parents used to take us. I eat at the restaurant. It's very reasonable. It's one of the best slot machines. In Reno, Nevada that does pay off. Where well known for their? Palphot their slot machine. Not only the slot machine, but the restaurant is excellent. What's reasonable? Call...

This place doesn't look like it's had a face-lift since the early 80s/late 70s. The gaming machines were all new, but the rest of the joint reeked of sleaze and cheap exploitation. I never gambled there, but I did stop in for a quick bite to eat a few times and I honestly felt like I had stepped back in...

I stumbled across the Cal Neva while walking to the near by Wells Fargo ATM. I came in to use the restroom but ended up staying for hours. That was 5 years ago and I continue to return to this day. The reason I continue to come back is that since that first visit, many of the staff remembered who...

We got there and were told the wait would be about an hour, appear to be only two waitresses working. Multiple people walked away so we fought it may be less wait than that. Well it was about 30 minutes. We were seated and we then saw there was also a male waiter and bus boy as well. We had...

We stopped here at Cal Neva to do a little gambling. The place is really old-school and has a cool vibe. My kids love to gamble here because they are extremely lucky here at Cal Neva. My husband and I sat at the bar and played .25 blackjack, which is hard to find at the Vegas casinos. The drinks were...

This little place has the best food and drink deal in town. I was staying at a "high end" resort near by and this place was a diamond in the rough. This is an older casino, but don't let the outside fool you. They serve 5.99 prime rib and 3 dollar drinks all night. This is where a lot of...

They have a small, but very good, sports bar on the Virginia street enter entrance. I am from Pennsylvania originally. Anyway they serve the BEST Philly Cheese steak I've had since being home about 5 years ago. I highly recommend this.

We went here for a meal. There was loads of empty tables, yet the hostess was telling everyone that there was a 20 min wait. The more you asked how long it was before a table was available, the quicker you seemed to get a table. We was finally shown to our table, where the bench seats were wet with...
