Service at the Courtyard Reno is regularly commended for the staff's attentiveness and the welcoming environment they foster. The cleanliness of the hotel is another point of praise, with travelers highlighting the well-maintained rooms and facilities. Value-wise, guests generally appreciate the reasonable pricing, though some have encountered issues with credits and housekeeping. We stayed here for a sport event last weekend and were very glad that we picked Courtyard Reno again! The location is convenient, our room is very clean with responsive and friendly staff (mostly)! May helped us check in and out and answered questions during our stay. May always have smiles on her face and greeted every customer when they entered/exited the door.
The only negative experience we had was at the breakfast cafe. One morning we were down at the cafe near the breakfast closing time and the cafe staff was very unprofessional and rude. She checked her watches about five times and narrowed her lip corners when we were making our orders. When we asked questions about the menu items, she gave the shortest answer she could. We could tell that she was very upset that she had to take our orders because it was not 10AM yet. Even when we added tips to the check, she said nothing to us. We thanked her when she gave us our food, and she had no response to us. We felt that if she was working in her own café, she would have kick us out of her Café. After giving us our food, she quickly closed the Cafe and disappeared behind the front desk.
When we were cleaning our table after we finished the food, May quietly walked over from the front desk with smiles on her face, she took dirty plates from us and told us that she can take care of the rest of cleaning. What a difference between the two employees! Thank you very much for going above and beyond to provide the best customer experience to us, May! You are a Rock Star for Courtyard Reno and deserve the employee of the month award! Thank you for consistently keeping up the Marriott brand level of customer service, May! We will return to Courtyard Reno again because of staff like you!
We also asked for swapping the pillows due to allergic reaction to the feather pillows they had. A tall male staff (he did not wear a name tag) came over quickly to exchange the pillows within 20 minutes we called. We appreciate how responsive they treated their customers even when the hotel was very busy. Please keep up the good work and we are looking forward to our return in the near future.

My two handsome sonshines had a b-ball tournament in town over the Memorial Day Weekend and the Courtyard Marriot was one of several hotels that came highly recommended. Our flight arrived well ahead of the scheduled time so we headed over to the hotel. We were greeted by hotel staff and what made our stay a blessing was being able to access our room early at no extra charge. Upon entering our room there was a sanitized sweetness that drifted across our nostrils. The room was clean and inviting and before I we could enjoy anything else we all took a nap. The beds were very comfy the room was spacious. The shower although a little narrow for my chaloopas, was great. Besides the design, I loved the nonslip shower floors.

Later in the evening we headed out to practice and a team dinner when we returned, my sonshines wanted to check out the Bistro where they were greeted by the Restaurant Owner who briefly chatted with them and gave them a menu. They really liked her because she reminded them of their Auntiema. We promised to return the next day and I must say…you will not be disappointed! You will be professionally greeted by a beautiful Mother and Daughter crew Ms. Tomarva & Ms. Ajanay. While everyone was nice, they had two of the sweetest personalities. We ordered 4 meals, French Toast x2, a breakfast quesadilla, and bacon w/cheese eggs, potatoes, and toast. Everything was really yummy, well seasoned and well worth the cost! The French Toast was to die for. Thick cut brioche bread dipped into a custard rue with a hint of vanilla…it was topped with sweet fresh strawberries and powdered sugar. Everything was absolutely delicious!!!

Our 3-night stay a the Courtyard Marriott for the tournament was well worth the stay. From the cleanliness of hotel and our rooms to our interactions with the professional staff in all areas, we absolutely enjoyed our stay. This is a great hotel for families. We sincerely look forward to our next visit.

This is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. I arrived a bit early, like 2 pm, and even though the room wasn't ready I was invited to sit in the lobby to wait. The desk clerk engaged me in conversation when she wasn't busy and kept assuring me they were working on the room. As soon as she got the call from the housekeeping manager I was in my room, about 20 minutes. My room was far enough from the elevators and the ice machine, but close enough that it wasn't a long walk. I had booked a balcony room on points. I was actually surprised this was offered as usually the only types of rooms that are available for points stays are the standard king/queen, one/two beds. The room was spacious, clean, and everything was fresh. The furniture was comfortable. The internet strength was good (no lost signals). Unlike a lot of hotels that seem to love bathtub shower combinations, the bathroom had a spacious shower. The room had a small refrigerator but no microwave, but there was one in the little lobby store and they had meals available in the store. I soon discovered that the TV which had a wide variety of channels had not one but two Hallmark channels. Since I am a huge Hallmark fan I was overjoyed. Each time I left or returned to the hotel for the three days I stayed there I was warmly greeted and spoken to as if I was a valued guest. While the hotel doesn't have an included breakfast, they do have a bar/restaurant in the hotel that is open for breakfast and dinner. I had several of my meals there and everything I ate was hot, well prepared and very tasty. The parking is free, unlike other Reno hotels and the hotel is a safe area, very centrally located about 6-7 minutes from anywhere downtown by car. It's near the airport but the windows are very well insulated so you don't hear a lot of jets taking off and landing. There's a pool and fitness room, which I did not use. There are two elevators. I booked this Courtyard because it was a bit removed from the downtown casino vibe and didn't have a lot of homeless in the area. I had originally booked at the other Courtyard, but because my car was too tall for their garage and the past guest photos showed homeless camped out on the riverbank just outside the hotel, I changed and I am really glad I did. That change brought me to the perfect hotel, in my opinion. As a single, senior female I appreciated the safety of the area, the really nice room and TV channel selection, but most of all I appreciated the friendliness and caring attitude of the staff I encountered. This will be my number one hotel in Reno and overall one of my favorites.

If you’re looking for a nice quiet place to stay and tremendous hospitality In a hotel try the Courtyard by Marriott in Reno Nevada. The front desk staff really makes this property a good choice. My family was on two different flights back to the east which meant that I had to stay much later at the Marriott. Alexis at the front desk was kind enough to give me an extra hour in my room and a good place to rest up and prepare for the redeye back home. She should get a bonus from her GM! The room was clean and comfortable. I like the way the TV is Mounted to the wall and angled so you can watch it either from the sofa or the bed. They’ve taken precautions for Covid by wrapping up the remote and leaving hand sanitizer wipes on the nightstand. There seems to be some shopping within walking distance and restaurants that are close. We ate at the Chihuahua cantina that was less than a mile away which I highly recommend also. Again kudos to Alexis at the Courtyard by Marriott in Reno’

Stayed here overnight March 6th. Havent stayed here in years the hotel is refurbished and is clean and safe. Got the stay with breakgast included. the breakfast was 10 dollars per person which basically got you a Mcdonalds type yogurt cup and coffee. I normally stay at a residence inn or place that provides a breakfast included.

Neighbors giggled, chatted, slammed doors, bumped uglies, stomped around from 2am - 8am. Writing this review now at 8am. And around 7pm the night prior played songs loudly (it was Drake and I could hear the each word in the lyrics).

This hotel offers zero privacy, nearly nonexistent noise insulation, and no response or help after I messaged them through the Bonvoy app (their own Marriott app). Now I’m staring at a full day of driving through winter roads in rough conditions on no sleep and don’t know how I’m going to make it without falling asleep behind the wheel. The one request I made was for a quiet room prior and upon check in for some much needed sleep. Hotel acknowledged, but did not come through, and now unresponsive. What’s the point of a hotel if it cannot provide a private space / resting place? You would be better off sleeping in your car.

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We are sorry we did not meet your expectations! Sadly we are not always able to control the guests in adjacent rooms although every effort was made to work with them to quiet down. We did experience a power outage during the time you were chatting via our online service do to the severe storms in the region. Pauline did respond as soon that power was restored. I hope the Bonvoy points she offered and posted to your account helped to ease your discomfort. We look forward to welcoming you back soon!

This hotel is exceptional in my opinion. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left ,we gad nothing but positive interactions with all staff from the front desk to housekeeping. Having booked a balcony room our stay was great, the staff went out of their way to accommodate my service dog and being a mixed couple and having some issues with staff in previous hotel stays at another brand properties this time we were pleasantly surprised with how kind and thoughtful the staff wad. This hotel is kid Friendly as well. Great location and the whole property inside and out is clean and well maintained. If you're in need of a hotel room I would highly recommend staying at the courtyard by Marriott in Reno .

Don't book here...they might do this to you too! We had two rooms booked for my friend's birthday, which happens to fall on Valentine's weekend. I received an email three days before our arrival but five days after booking. It said they'd tried to charge my card and since it didn't work they'd cancelled our reservation. I tried to re-book immediately (my account was fine, more than enough funds) but the system said there were no rooms! The whole town is practically sold out...rooms that are normally $85/night on a weekend are going for $400+! I think that's why they cancelled me. Why would they try that charge this day? So late after the booking and so soon before arrival? Why wouldn't they contact me? I called the person who sent the email, Len Marazzo, and was treated horribly and told "oh well". I've been a Bonvoy member since I was an adult...before it was even called Bonvoy. I'm seriously disappointed.

Thank you for taking time to post your review. Our policy does state that you must have a valid credit card on file when you make your reservation. As we discussed on the phone when we verified your credit card it was not valid and we therefore did cancel reservation. We do charge an advance deposit 72 hours prior to arrival on holiday weekends. Again thank you for taking time to share your experience.

This is a very nicely maintained and decorated hotel with nice spots to sit outside as well as in the lobby/dining area. Very comfortable and welcoming. Staff all following Covid protocol and place is spotless.
It's near the freeway and if you run the a/c in your room you won't hear it. Freeway sounds aren't overwhelming by any means.
Magnifying mirror in the bathroom sink area. Counter space not expansive but good enough for essential make up supplies. Large room w/ cool looking, curved sofa bed. Huge TV. Fridge in room. Coffee pot w/ delicious coffee. We'd definitely stay again.
