When we first checked in and went to our room, I thought it was a beautiful room…. My husband hated the view. (I have never seen a room where the windows are part of the elevator shaft)
So after switching rooms which they gave us a newer one and it was wonderful, much better view and we had a great long weekend.
We ate in almost every restaurant they have never a bad meal. Especially the Bistro Napa and their grilled PorkChop with rhubarb and strawberry glaze!! (I’m still thinking about it)
My husband golfed at wolf run golf course, (lots of golf nearby) and I spent a day at the Reno museum of art and wandering through several thrift stores.
We even stumbled upon a beard festival along the Riverwalk and found several great bars.

We sprang for a concierge level room, which was very nice, somewhat large, with heavenly bedding, but the rest was just a cut above average; the bathroom was on the small size with the shower tub combo reminiscent of less than luxurious hotels. The view from these upper floor rooms is nice, but there is also a window tinting that gives the building a rainbow effect from the outside, which resulted in a weird blue light in our room, which made it hard to read or see well during the day.

The casino was busier than most I’ve visited in Reno, that could be a plus or a minus these days, but overall there was good attention to health safety and cleanliness, with staff constantly reminding customers to distance and wear masks etc. We found the much praised dealers a little uneven - great earlier in the evening, and the craps roll counting and leader board is a great idea and a blast, but less so later, when it turned out the leader board was only for one of the tables, and both tables were almost impossible to get back into if you left for dinner, not really the casinos fault due to limited players, but why $5 tables when there are swarms of people trying to get in the game, and no orderly system for accommodating everyone. The dealers and pit bosses were less friendly at night, overall, a so so gaming experience, maybe I’ll try again after the pandemic.

If you’re just here for the hotel, recommended.

The mystery is to determine how this restaurant manages to consistently offer a world class dining experience enabled by a world class service staff and still provide the familiarity and warmth one would expect with family!

A table for two was the only request made when my wife reserved an evening for us at the Atlantis Steak House. It was Christmas evening, and we were looking forward to finally taking a break from the busy holiday and relaxing over a dinner, even if we would be a bit rushed through the typical ‘Holiday Crush’ one reasonably expects at this time.

I can not express how pleased we were with our choice to dine at the Steak House at the Atlantis Casino in Reno! The evening began the moment we were warmly greeted by the hostess and then escorted to our table in the “Cove”, a large but still surprisingly intimate room off the main dining area. The atmosphere was very welcoming, the room fresh and lit perfectly for comfort. The staff immediately began to tend to our every need or request, from taking the drink order and placing freshly baked bread on the table to individually introducing themselves to us, a welcome touch anymore when dining out.

Our server, a young woman named Elaina, gave us our menus and wine/drink list, and provided us with suggestions to suit our preferences as well as presenting us with several “Specials” for the evening’s offerings.
Never making us feeling rushed but at the same time making us feel as if we were royalty seems to be Elaina’s forte, not to mention the exemplary service given to us by each member of the support staff.

Regardless of your particular dietary preferences, the menu for the Steak House is so varied that any palate will be more than pleased, and if by chance you have any trace of your meal remaining after your indulgence, it will be nicely boxed so it may be taken home! And it’s better to take something of your meal home, so as to allow room for any of the dessert choices that are available.

It is a credit to the management of this restaurant to see it so smoothly run, and a credit to the staff for making it a pleasure to enjoy fine dining and not just a meal. A special thanks to Elaina for the warm and outstanding experience she graced us with, and though I’ve forgotten the names of those who helped, they each deserve kudos for their attentiveness and smiles.

We will return!

I have finally ventured out after four months of stay at home recommendation and the place I chose to visit was Atlantis. My host Gina Dizon expertly took care of all my arrangements perfectly. Atlantis made me feel very safe during this pandemic taking the temperature of all people entering the hotel, sanitation stations all over and a crew just doing nothing but wiping surfaces with sanitation. As always the employees,Gina Dizon, were very helpful taking care of all my needs. I had wonderful food with great service. At Atlantis I feel my entertainment budget lasts longer and I get great value for money spent. I would recommend to anybody looking for a safe and friendly stay.

My husband and I stayed in Reno as a stopover during a road trip and we were very pleased with how seriously the staff were taking Covid-19 precautions. Temperature checks are required at the entrance, the front desk is wiped down after each guest interaction, and social distancing is required in the elevators, in queues and the gift shop, so we felt they were managing the public areas well. Our first room seemed to have what looked like some granola and part of a plant stem on the floor, so we asked to have a different room which they obliged without hesitation. We both felt the second room in particular was very clean. Our only complaint was no one was answering in room dining phone line, but we managed to call the restaurant directly but we had to pick up the food ourselves and that meant we didn’t get to take advantage of the $30 off in room dining promotion they were offering, so that was a little disappointing. Otherwise we had a very safe and pleasant stay. Many thanks in particular to Johann at the front desk for making us feel so welcome.

We have stayed at almost every local casino in the Reno/ Sparks area for little getaways. Atlantis has by far been the best experience. The restaurants, rooms, and employees are great. Especially our casino host Menchie Espiritu. She treats us like we are her only clients and manages to take care of us at a moments notice. I am also grateful for the attention that is given to COVID restrictions. The rooms are meticulously cleaned, the restaurants are more than compliant and guests are monitored to make sure masks are worn. I have actually witnessed employees approach guests to tell them to put their masks on which gives us more comfort. They seem to be very organized in spite of these unusual times. Great hotel/casino resort!

We were recently at the Atlantis Casino Reno, very happy with workers wearing masks, several people cleaning tables, slot machines and so forth. We would not hesitate to go back. As always the staff is excellent, concerned about your well being, constantly asking if they can be of help. Rooms as always were terrific. Sue Chau in the Keno lounge runs a very tight ship so to speak, making sure people are secure in their surroundings things are kept clean. We will returning as soon as possible.

Atlantis seems to have lost track of what made it popular. Loose slots, liberal comps, and a fun atmosphere.

Slots are now tighter, as are comps. My bet average on slots is $6 a spin and the hosts here make it like they are doing me a favor by giving me a room and $100 in freeplay. I’m putting tens of thousands of dollars at risk and expect more than 100 bucks.

I get $1200 at GSR, and about the same as Peppermill. Peppermill’s slots are looser too.

Another thing. The sheets in the room are like sandpaper. The toilet paper is single ply.

I get it’s all about the bottom line but don’t forget where you came from. People aren’t visiting Atlantis for their tacky gold decorations and smoke filled air. They visited because you offered a fair and entertaining gaming value.

Someone else will be getting my business next trip.

The Atlantis is open again! The resort has taken great care to protect guests. You must pass a temperature check before entering. Masks or shields are mandatory. There are hand sanitizing stations everywhere with wipes to use on machines. In addition, if you turn on the call light and attendant will come and wipe down the machine with disinfectant. All employees are masked and most are gloved. There is plexiglass between machines and at all check in/check out stations. Social distancing circles are on the floor everywhere lines form. The restaurants are serving the same great food with all condiments, menus, etc. sanitized after each use. At the buffet, food is plated by servers behind plexiglass and handed to you. I feel safe and protected as I enjoy gaming, eating and visiting with friends. As of September 18 all bars and bartop machines are open. As always, visits are a great experience.

I have stayed at the Atlantis three times during the COVID pandemic because I own a business up there but live in CA. No other Casino in my opinion has done a better job of making available resources to keep clean and monitor their entry points for temp checks, providing masks to anyone entering the facility. The Atlantis has been one of the top casinos in the Reno area for a very long time hosting the best steak house in Reno. You have the option to not have maid service daily and you can define what you want at anytime. That is why I stay here and recommend this property.

No. You'll need to arrange your own transportation. Taxis and Uber are very expensive (and often hard to find once you're at the Lake) so renting car is the best choice.
