Once again we returned to the Peppermill for a quick getaway. We rented in the Tuscany tower... one double king and one king room. Both rooms were in spotless condition. One of the best things about the Peppermill is the incredibly soft and comfortable beds and bedding. Besides the bathroom that is the size of a normal hotel room almost. The giant Jacuzzi tub is always a joy at the end of a long day. We ordered room service which came super fast was super polite servers. We ate several times directly downstairs from the Tuscany tower elevators at the sweet shop. We had cakes and pastries and coffee and they were all delicious. It was too cold use the pool but we have used in the past and it is always super warm and clean. This hotel is always my first choice when we come to Reno. And it should be yours too. …
We had stopped here a couple years ago to check out the place, casino then was quite nice and the whole place is very elegant. This time we stopped in again while vacationing in Tahoe, and due to flight issues we booked a room overnight for our delayed departure. Hotel provides a free shuttle service to and from the airport, starting at 4:30 AM I believe-- we boarded at 5 am. Staff are friendly and helpful. Interior of casino is quite beautiful, my favorite part is their huge and numerous video screens which show places all over the world in outstanding high definition. Really cool. Food was quite good at the Sports Deli and affordable. Could barely eat a 6 inch chicken salad sandwich it was so large. We visited the pools, and found them quite nice. Hotel we booked was only $80 plus tax and yet was a really nice, upper floor room with nice seating as well as a comfortable king bed. We had no complaints for this hotel and would definitely stay here again.…
Won't stay anywhere else while in Reno and we have tried them all. Friendly staff, spacious, clean rooms. We always stay in the Tuscany Tower. Good choice for restaurants. They are taking extra precautions during Covid. Plexiglass screens divide slot machines and only so many people at the tables with no-one allowed to stand behind a player. Everyone masked and/or gloved. Clean and sanitary. Spa is excellent. Casino is lots of fun with designated non-smoking areas. Regardless they are spending $$ on their air filtration system as I am sensitive to smoke and not once was I bothered by it and this from a many year ago smoker! For us, Peppermill is THE only place to stay while in Reno.
Definitely (COVID not withstanding) the classiest casino/hotel in Reno; particularly if you have money to spend. Hands down the best spa and some of the nicest rooms in town. All of that said please do understand that the Peppermill is quite a bit outside of the "downtown" area and is not as much of a party, have a good time in a vice city casino as some downtown (and definitely not as social fun as GSR) casino's. Although it definitely has the best spa in town. It also (COVID not withstanding) had the only good high end "club" in Reno, but if you are looking for a young, fun, meet people (read: locals) kind of time this probably isn't the place. Slot wise (because we all know you tourist want to know) the Peppermill is not the place to win big or even moderate...it has some of the tightest slots and most morally rigorous table in town (I was asked to leave for saying the "F" word twice in an hour at a blackjack table in an adults only area...)so if you are looking for luxury it's definitely the place for you! If you are looking for the best bang for your buck (when you don't make enough to take luxury vacations) the GSR (Grand Sierra Resort) is a better bet, not just spot wise, and you will probably lose less money. But if you are looking for more of a luxury vacation, or even just a self pampering kind of trip, Peppermill is for you.…
Peppermill resort is very clean. The less expensive rooms that are not in the Towers are really nice. Very clean and safe. Although the parking lot was below and outside my room window, I only heard a couple loud motorcycles and cars. The hvac is pretty loud, but it works efficiently. The casino floors had clear plastic barriers between each slot machine - it was a little difficult to get in and out of the swivel chairs in such a small space. Also, I noticed ash trays not picked up.
