This could be the best hotel downtown. The service at the front desk was very good and they gave me a comfortable room with a lot of space and a great view. Nice to have a refrigerator. Everything worked very well. Nice fitness center and good housekeeping service with a quic response.
I have not been to Reno for many years, but I took advantage of the recent snowfall to visit family and hit the slopes. Before my trip, I added a night on the front end of my stay (for a total of 5) and emailed the hotel through the Caesars website to make sure the 2 reservations were linked. No response. That's OK, I explained the situation at check-in and after a lengthy process and multiple swipes, I thought it was all straightened out. The next day, the maid REALLY wanted in the room for some reason. I told her that we did not need housekeeping that day. But the real fun began a few hours later when we were locked out of the room completely. When I went to the front desk, I was lectured by the clerk that I could not link reservations (huh?) and that I needed to check out and check in. At no point was there any empathy about us being locked out of the room. I explained that I had emailed and alerted them at check-in that I had added a day at the front end of the stay, but we "were in the wrong". After we got back into the room, I emailed again. Still no response to that email either. The staff on whole were great during our stay. Room was clean. I'm just not sure what we did to deserve 0 customer service at check-in, or being completely ignored by email. For the most part, the food and beverages were great at the Row. But the dinner service at the Eldorado coffee shop can be avoided.…
The start was awesome We were placed in a room that had a front row seat to the fireworks for the new years celebration. The fire works we're fantastic. The room service at the El Dorado is great. They are prompt and courteous. The stay has been pleasant and relaxing.
That Christmas holiday show was outstanding. I felt like I was on Broadway. The talent! The legs! It brought me so much joy and put me in the Christmas spirit. I have been singing Christmas songs nonstop since seeing the show. Epic!
Had a great time in Reno on a short vacation. Stayed at the Eldorado and the $70 upgrade to a corner suite was worth every penny. The views were awesome. Ate at Ichiban and La Strada. Both were very good with excellent friendy service. All the staff were smiling and engaging. Everything was clean and well kept. The machines even payed out some for us. Overall a relaxing and fun time. We will be back.
I have been coming to The Row with friends several times a year for over 20 years. We come to gamble, eat, and drink and appreciated the choice of casinos and the dealers and pit staff were lots of fun. Before they combined them, we would mostly stay at the Eldorado because we could get a few comped nights but after it became The Row we could get similar at the Silver Legacy (and Circus, but never stayed there). Unfortunately, since Caesars took over, everything has gone downhill, and we won’t be returning. Caesars obviously wants to spend tons on advertising and their sports betting app and don’t care about guest experiences. We cut them some slack during Covid, but five of us were just there in mid-October and it was the worst trip yet. • In the Silver Legacy, if you show up an hour before check-in, and your room is ready, they insist on charging you $25 for early check-in—no “nice to have you here, here’s your key, get to the Casino!” The Eldo did seem a bit better in that regard, maybe because of our status level. • For most of the day—some days all day—there are no blackjack tables less than $25—and there is no one playing. Seems they would rather have staff standing idle than open an $15 table and let the dealers earn some tips. Won’t even do it if you say “three of us will sit down and play”. We spent less time at the tables than normal--so I lost less, but that's not why we come. • And those tables have all paired back the odds over the years—sure, the days of 2:1 BJ are long gone, but at 6:5 I should be able to have some laughs and drinks. • It is totally dead in the casino most mornings, especially the Eldo—no bars open, no table games open, maybe one cocktail waitress covering the floor. • Friday night was the parade of prostitutes on the casino floor—a bit amusing but not a great vibe—and if you are thinking “Pretty Woman”, think again. • Betting at the sports book you use to get drink tickets—that is inconsistent and not transferable across the Row despite their advertising. Book staff are GLUM. • They have not invested in the rooms, and they are still equipped with plastic glasses—I stayed at a basic Hilton in Colorado last weekend and the room had nicer amenities. • The one bar that is conducive to sitting and chatting (Drinx) had non-existent table service one night. • The area around the Stadium Bar in the Eldo stank of urine and no one seemed to care except a security guard who kept walking by and saying “what stinks,” but no one did anything about it. • Brew’s Brothers food seems to have picked up from a low point a year ago but aside from BB's there generally are better and less expensive restaurant choices within walking distance. We will still go to Reno, but we have checked out other properties like the Peppermill and they are clearly more invested in ensuring a positive guest experience. We have lots of great memories, but now we will leave it to Caesars to run it the rest of the way into the ground.…
This was our first time in Reno so I wasn't sure what to expect. I chose this hotel because of the easy and free parking. That was a good choice. It was very easy to get to the parking lot from the freeway. The lot was very big and busy but spaces were available. It was tight but manageable. The walk over to the hotel was fairly easy and when we arrived at check-in, it was quiet. We were too early for our room but the concierge took our bags and told us we would be able to get them brought up to the room once we had checked in. After exploring the casino for a while, we went back after the check-in time. The reception staff were all polite, helpful and friendly and the concierge guy was great (sorry, can't remember his name) but he took the time to have a good chat to us about life in the US and was an all-round great guy! The room was very nice and big. We only waited about 5 minutes for our luggage to be with us. Again, the gentleman that brought our luggage to the room was friendly and helpful. The room did not have much of a view, only of the car park but we didn't expect Vegas views anyway. The room was comfy and clean. The bathroom was spotless and a great size. The beds were comfortable. The only reason I'm giving the hotel 4 stars is because the walls are very thin. We could hear everything from next door and it happened to be kids screaming and shouting and the parents clearly didn't teach them any respect for others! All in all, it was a good stay and I would definitely stay here again if we come back to Reno. The casino was great too. A lot bigger than I expected and great that you can walk through to the other casinos without going outside. After all, there's not a lot else to see in Reno other than the homeless and drug-addicted people, sadly. I didn't feel too safe outside at night but then again, there's not much here to go outside for.…
Spacious, quiet room although some of the furniture was showing a bit of wear. Suite includes a separate bedroom and eating / living area. Good for entertaining guests (maybe another couple or two, possibly three). Kitchen area is small but satisfactory. No microwave but a decent sized mini refrigerator and in room icemaker. No dishes, utensils, paper towels, etc. are provided so plan to bring your own if you intend to serve food and would like to do a bit of cleanup. We went at a busy time and reported a problem with our in room safe upon arrival (likely a failed battery). After waiting 1.5 hours and calling three times, we finally gave up. It was not fixed during our stay. When we checked out, the front desk seem to have no record of it although we had called the front desk on the first night to report the problem with the safe as well as a problem with a missing knob on a dresser. Oh well… FYI, the room contains very little natural light. There is no window in the living area, and the master bedroom has only a very small window high at top. We used the many recessed lights and lamps.…
I booked a luxury 2 queen room for myself and a girlfriend to get ready in and have a few drinks without having to drive home. I was DISGUSTED with the room. It was "nonsmoking" even though it smelled like an ashtray. Everything was so dirty we were actually uncomfortable. I've attached pics. Splatter all over the walls, the curtains, even the lampshade. Behind the beds were filthy. The little throw pillows were revolting, looked like dried on snot on them. For $280 a night and an upgraded room I assumed I'd have a nice stay. The whole floor smelled like marijuana. The elevators were gross and sketchy. I'm so embarrassed at how many people I've told to stay there in the 10+ years since I last stayed there when it was clean and updated. I immediately stripped and put everything in the hottest setting in my washer, I MEAN EVERYTHING EVEN MY SHOES, and put my suitcase outside... I'm terrified of bringing home bedbugs and from what I could see on the internet it looks like maybe spotting it what I was seeing. Overall, absolutely would never stay here again.…
