Detailed Reviews
Wife and I stopped here on our drive from Denver to San Diego. I was a little nervous given some of the other reviews. We arrived at 7:30PM and after a temperature check at the casino entrance quickly got checked in to a premium king room. We got to our room and everything was great. Yeah there were a few stains on the carpets but other than that I didn't see any of the horror stories others have talked about.
I got a few beers to go at the bar and burgers from the restaurant across from it. Took them to the room and we had a nice relaxing evening.
If you're looking for a week long bachelor / bachelorette trip go to Vegas. Don't go here and post an unreasonable review when you realize this isn't the Bellagio.

When I went to check in the clerk was rude, casino where you check in is loud. The women checking me in was looking away from me toward her computer as she talked to me, I couldn’t understand her because she wasn’t speaking up, looking away from me with plexiglass glass between us. She was saying something & I let her know I couldn’t hear her & she replied in a rude tone, “just forget it!”
The room was dirty , shower had long hairs on the walls, which tells me they are not taking cleaning seriously, that’s a concern with Covid going around. Luckily my wife makes me carry Lysol spray with me when I travel.
The lady who checked me out was wonderful.

My Family was traveling through and we booked three rooms.
The outside of the hotel looked quite nice but the rooms were not clean.
My daughters room had chewed gum on the desk that she need to clean up.
None of the three rooms we booked had towels or washcloths, when I called the front desk they were quite rude and told us we had to go to the front desk to pick them up.

A stopping point for a short night of sleep. Lady at the registration desk was as unfriendly and uncaring as one could ever imagine. Just surly. Daughter and granddaughter's got to their room adjoining ours, and it was dirty and untouched by housekeeping from the previous guest. They were able to move to another room and were then billed for two room! Carpeting throughout the place looked as though people had been changing their oil in there. A very dirty and unaccommodating hotel. Make the extra 50 miles to Vegas if you can and stay somewhere that doesn't make you feel like you'll need a disinfecting bath when you leave. Wish we had!

One of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. What started my experience off on a bad start was your representative at the desk where you check in. She was absolutely rude!!! I asked her what the rate was for a 2 queen room and she quoted me almost $30 more than what it said on your website so I asked her if I could get that rate and she said no because that was through a third party website. I informed her and showed her n my phone that it was Primm's own website which she then argued with me that it wasn't and there was nothing she could do. So she told me to book online and then come back in an hour because that is how long it takes to update in their system, I felt that was unacceptable because I had been driving/traveling all day and I was tired. I realize a lot of things have had to be changed because of COVID but when you are placed in a room at the very back of a hotel and that room is dusty that is not ok. I felt like she did that as revenge because she also put my parents in a room at the back of the hotel as well because they booked online. She then has the nerve to say to us you only saved $10 by booking online and I said no you quoted me $86 and I paid $59 online. I can't believe how dirty your hallways were. Then when we got into our room there was no washcloths and only 2 towels. There were 3 of us staying in the room and I called the front desk and they told me I would have to walk all the way down there to the front desk to get the towels, etc myself and that they don't bring them to the rooms. WTF!!! I will tell everyone I know to NEVER stay at your hotel!!!

There was a cockroach on the dirty bathroom floor. The room carpet showed hair and fragments; so apparently the room had not been vacuumed. Ventilation and air quality was bad with obvious cigarette smoke. The sheer curtains showed brownish stains on them. Fortunately, the bath towels and sheets were fresh and ok. So, we slept ok on the bed. But some stains were present on one of the towels. Unfortunately, no hand towels or wash cloths were provided. The bath tub/shower water drained slowly with the plug completely open.
The hotel hallways were quite smokey. Overall impression is that the building maintenance is neglected and housekeeping is inadequate.
We had fully prepaid our bill with a third party, Trip advisor/Orbitz, so we expected no bill upon arrival as usually happens when we check in at other hotels. However at Primm Valley check in, we were surprised when the hotel forced/charged us an extra additional 22.00 fee for parking, room wifi and a resort fee. I was informed later by Orbitz that such a possibility was written in the fine print. But that hasn't ever happened to us before.
Most of the time at other hotel check ins, the staff are friendly and welcoming. We did our part to be friendly and cooperative at Primm Valley. But no one on staff did anything to make us feel welcome on our first visit to Primm Valley Resort and Casino. Perhaps they are understaffed and overloaded with duties. But we didn't pay a bargain room rate.
The menu at the Primm and Proper had few options which were so over priced, we went elsewhere to eat.
We can't imagine ever staying at Primm Valley Resort & Casino ever again.

In all honesty I thought it'd be a challenge to stay here after reading all the negative reviews. It started by calling the reservation number to inquire if a room was available and if pets could stay. After realizing no one alive would ever answer a call I sent an email and got a quick response from Amanda Mock(Casino Marketing Manager). She was a pleasure to deal with and helped me book and confirm a pet friendly room. I didn't know it, but this was the high point of the entire stay.
Upon arrival the personnel at the front desk couldn't find our reservation even with the reservation number Amanda confirmed with me. Finally this was resolved and we drove around in circles looking for our room and dodging ATV Razors(there is evidently a HUGE 4 wheel drive departure point behind the hotel). A back door was found with a hazard cone keeping the door open and we located our room. Opening the door the first thing that came to mind was "where's the sewage leak"? The entire room reeked of raw sewage but the dog seemed to enjoy smelling the carpet and looking for a dead body. Although a body was never found there were plenty of hairballs and other items still on the carpeting(god only knows what the dog kept smelling). The toilet was running continually so I was able to soften the flapper and remedy that issue. There was a drip of blood on the outside wall of the tub and not a towel or wash cloth to be seen. My wife took the car returned to the front desk to ask for a different room but was denied and given towels as a reward for not leaving.
It was decided if we were gonna stay here we needed a drink so I left the room and walked around in circles never able to locate the front entrance. If this place ever went up in flames from the sewage gas igniting not a person would be able to locate an exit but at least the casino wouldn't smell like cigarettes. Eventually i just took any exit out of the building i could find and wandered over to the gas station for a cold, expensive beverage. While there, a woman pretended to fall and she and her husband both acted like she was dying while they speed dialed a lawyer and asked for security. Could this town get any worse??
Finished my drink before getting to the room since i had to walk the circumference of the entire hotel to find the back area we were staying. Kept my slippers on and showered and went to bed. On a positive note, I will say the beds are comfortable.
My wife shook me awake at 4 am and said, "We're leaving". Packed the car, drove around in circles one more time and hit the highway never to return.
It is as bad as they say...
PS Why keep a pool filled when there's a chain and lock on the entrance?

Not sure why all of the hotels are still closed, except for Primm Valley "Resort". We checked in and were given a room on the ground floor with a substantial walk from the front desk. When I pulled back the duvet, there was not a top sheet. I thought they had accidentally tucked it in around the mattress. I pulled it back and found a filthy mattress pad with stains and hair. We called the front desk, and were told that housekeeping was closed (about 7 PM), and we would have to come get some sheets, and remake the bed. Unbelievable. I complained about it, and requested our "resort fee" of $22 back if we had to change our own bed. It took a while, but they were finally able to figure out how to enter it into the computer. The fee was for a pool, which was not open, parking (in a huge lot free to all who visited the casino), and wi-fi (which didn't work). Thedey are not in Vegas. Can't understand the nerve to ding guests an extra fee for basically nothing. The room is basic, with a lumpy bed. There were guests with dogs barking in the hallways, and thin walls with voices audible as one passed by closed doors. Never again. No matter how much cheaper it is. Go on to Barstow or Vegas, and pay a little extra.

We did not end up staying at Primm Valley Resort. We made a reservation for 2 nights in a premium room and the first night was charged to our credit card at the time of the reservation. When we arrived at the “resort” we were told that only one premium room was available but someone else had it reserved for the second night and we would have to move to another room the next day. The only other option was to take a standard room for the 2 nights. A woman who claimed to be the manager was not at all helpful and was rude and claimed that the printed policy covered this situation. The policy covered bed type and other requests, but did not state that if you make a reservation for a premium room you might not get a premium room or that you might have to move to a different room. We were disgusted and canceled our stay and ended up driving 3 ½ hours home, starting at around 11 PM. We will never stay here again.
Our nightly rate was about the same during the week at MGM Grand, even with their resort fee and parking fee.

They also charged us way more than agreed, it was supposed to be 50 dollars they charged us 138 dollars! This place was worth only maybe 10 dollars for that joke of a room!* This goes in my top three hotels that I’ve stayed in that are dirty, unkept, unsanitary. We got to the first room they gave us and it had dirty floors, poop in the toilet, pee on the toilet seat, hair all over the shower, on the bathroom door there was poop smeared across it. Then they give us a second room and it looks like it had a party in it, beds weren’t made and smelled like puke. The third room they gave us was finally a so so room. Still was dirty, had pee stains on the sheets and comforters. After traveling all day and needing a shower we tried to use the shower which was disgusting with hair and dirt. Found towels had what looked like blood on them. I would avoid staying here at all costs, we only slept here passing through on a road trip and we were exhausted and desperate for rest.
