Let me start by saying SVR is amazing, the location is just gorgeous, the food is tasty... probably too nice because you want to eat every meal even though the servings are huge and the staff are more than friendly, they really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I hadn't ridden a horse since I was...

Sandi's place was amazing! Terry had the ranch foreman help set up a fire for us our first night and beforehand had stayed in touch with us throughout the day to make sure we'd be all taken care of upon arrival. The next morning she coordinated a cowboy breakfast in the ranch house, followed by a horseback trail ride in...

Absolutely brilliant. From start to finish.Given simple lesson how to control the horse.Go on an hour ride through the desert area, round up cattle with horns into a pen & different activities.Finish with a lovely meal & cold drink & sit round the camp fire. What more can you ask for.Only 45 mins from Las Vegas on good roads. Great time.Worthwhile.

Best weekend ever! Stunning location, fabulous horses, great riding, delicious food, comfortable bed & lovely lovely people. The trail ride was like no other. Real riding, great guides & responsive horses. Make sure you give the cattle penning a go too - it's so much fun! Also, it's well worth an overnight stay in the covered wagon. A chance to...

It's true that Sandy Valley Ranch is "45 minutes and 100 years from Las Vegas," and it was a great getaway! My boyfriend and I had a great time horseback riding through the beautiful scenery, cattle-penning, and trying our hand at slingshots and axe-throwing. We also ate a delicious meal in the cute ranch house. We stayed overnight in the...

The people we met on the ranch were knowledgable, friendly and fun to spend the day with. We got a chance to ride around some of the many...

What a great experience we had at Sandy Valley Ranch. A huge thanks to Marilyn, Louis, Frosty, Henry and all the gang at the ranch. This has to be Vaegs' best kept secret. Make sure to ask Marilyn or Tony to get Vincent to pick you up and drive you there, he too is a great part of the experience....

The entrance to this ranch is actually located just over the California border, but they own so many acres that they incorporate in Nevada. My friends and I did the three hour trail ride and cattle penning package, and it was a great time. It includes lunch and a tour of the ranch, so you'll get your money's worth. On...
