We stayed for one night traveling between Great Basin and Zion National Parks. We stayed in the Kokopelli room- two spacious, well decorated rooms- all the amenities- great staff. I can not overstate how happy we were with the Overland

I booked this as I was looking for something quirky and historical. I made it to Pioche mid-afternoon and it was such a peaceful and lovely place, the whole town was very calm. The hotel is historical and reputedly haunted. I stayed in room 10 and it did creep me out a little as the annex is so dark. I... More

We were going to stay at the Overland during Labor day weekend but they were booked a month in half in advance. We ended up staying up the road in Eagle Valley . We went into town (SOO Cute!) and stopped at the bar. The building is a Neat Old Gem but the bar tender wasn't very friendly :(. The... More

simply loved the passion with which the owners have rebuilt a hotel which talks of days past - even with the slot machines in the bar. Welcoming staff and fabulous place on the edge of the desert. And even when the restaurants closed early across town (7pm) there was Jimmy's stunning Jambalaya on offer in the bar!

We enjoyed seeing a bit of the old west and Boot Hill in this remote Nevada town. The Overland Hotel and Saloon are interesting and well done. The saloon has a beautiful old bar and friendly staff. We viewed the rooms, and they were furnished with authentic older pieces. Worth getting off the highway for!

We were searching for a place to stay, but, since we travel within pets, it's hard to find accommodations these days! Not a problem here! The hotel is very clean, and the lady at check in was very friendly and we enjoyed chafing with her! The town is a cool place to visit and stay! Roam around a bit, there... More

Whether just passing through or exploring the sites in the area (Ryan Kershaw Park, Elgin Schoolhouse, Cathedral Gorge), this is a nice little independent oasis centrally located, with some interesting history. The rooms are themed, and mine was #19 ("The Hunting Lodge" room). Excellent pillow-top bed, big flat screen TV, nice clean bath, free wi-fi, and interesting decorations, including early... More

Should you take a back road trip through NV I would recommend stopping at the Overland Hotel. We found it by mistake and it was a great find. The owners have put a lot of thinking into creating a 'western' version of this old hotel. The beds were wonderful and the room large and very clean. We got in late... More

Pioche is an interesting old mining town, and the Overland Hotel fits nicely into the scene. It's unique in our hotel experience and we enjoyed our two night stay. We had the Kokopelli room, which was a good large room with 2 beds and a separate sitting area. It didn't start well when we were informed that the only restaurant... More

Real clean old fashioned rooms with TV and internet. This is not a place to stay if you do not wish to walk up a long flight of stairs. Under the rooms is a bar with smoking so that might bother some people BUT the smoke never was in our room. Our evening in this room was quiet and we... More
