The hotel is in a good location for hiking and exploring the valley of fire. Check in was wonderful with a female staff member that shared a lot of useful information with us. It is not a 5 star hotel, but it is a hotel that we found to be well taken care of, and giving the guest good value for money.
Clean, friendly, convenient and reasonably priced place to stay when visiting Valley of Fire. Rooms and hotel as good as it gets in theis price class. Mexican restaurant just across the road. Pool and hot tub outside if you want them. You can drive to the park in about 15-20 minutes.
We drove from Vegas to hike Valley of Fire VOF (def visit if you can). North Shore was on the other side of VOF and convenient. Clean place and great free hot breakfast. Staff super helpful. Used laundry facility ( $1.50) per load. just what we needed for our trip.
I stayed here because the idea of driving back after a long day of hiking at the Valley of Fire was not very inviting. Arrived here around 2:00pm and was told "Management does not like anyone checking in before 3:00pm". Never had any establishment tell me that (usually they'll say they don't have a room ready yet). So, even though I was tired, I had to wait another hour. The room itself was pretty standard. The place could use some updates - like USB ports for charging and an updated TV. Breakfast was also so-so, nothing much to talk about. Basic fare. If you have no other option, you could spend a night here. Otherwise, I would avoid if possible. The town of Overton itself has very few dining options, but people were very friendly wherever I went.
Nice hotel close to Valley of Fire. Although this one of the rare places to stay this close to the the park, they don't take advantage of it in a negative way, like extremely high prices. You have a great place against a normal price. Large room and a good bed. Also the breakfast is good. Friendly staff and a clean room. Perfect if you want to be close to the attractions in the area.
