We needed a two day get away. We arrived and waited till 2:30 to check in. Becka at the front desk was very helpful, a true asset to this place. The rooms were ok need some updating and no coffee or wifi (phone service is nil also) If you want to cut off the world then it would be ok....

Mount Charleston itself is a great retreat from Las Vegas. However, the Resort on Mount Charleston should only be an option for you if you can't make your schedule work for when there is cabin availability and you don't want to drive to St. George, UT (both superior options for the experience you seek). We arrived right at check-in time...

This was not our first visit, but wow things have changed. We had a package deal, buffet plus room for Thanksgiving. All the food was cold, except the rolls (I had to ask for them since the bowl was empty). We had finished eating out salads and rolls and still did not have the drinks we ordered. There is one...

The hotel looks pretty in the common areas, and they have a lot of very interesting old items (old fashioned cash register, slot machine, pinball machines, etc). The rooms though were very outdated and in need of general maintenance. The service in the restaurant was very slow, we ate dinner and breakfast there. The food though was fine.

Weekend away in the mountains, great mountain views, hiking trails, great food at the restaurant (breakfast skillet kept me full for 24 hours). Restaurant has windows overlooking the mountains. The rooms are small and functional, the mattress and pillows are uber-comfortable. Killer "Bloody Mary" in the morning starts the day off right. The hotel was quiet and comfortable with a...

This is a nice, pleasant place but you may want to bring your own food because it is difficult to eat in their restaurant. You will simply stand around waiting forever for someone to see you; let alone get waited on. No staff. No internet service or PHONE service so drive the kids crazy with a visit here and let...

Title says it all. Completely unreliable to treat my friend and his guests (including me) this way. Mt. Charlatan more like it. Reservation deposits paid by individual guests. Told that refunds would be sent----still waiting. Scam. Swindle. Shady.

If you're a Las Vegas local or just a out of towner seeking refuge from the city then this place is for you. The service is friendly, the rooms are cozy and quiet, and the restaurant has yummy steaks and hearty breakfasts. Just being there for a day was a full refresher. The resort isn't huge but simple and not...

PLEASE do yourself a favor and don't book here. Our son's wedding was booked for months and THREE DAYS before the wedding we were told that our block of 20 rooms were overbooked and we had to find accommodations elsewhere. VP of sales was not only difficult to work with but very unprofessional for what would have been a very...

The Hotel was really nice, the staff was super friendly. However, the room and bathroom was dated, and needed updates like a refrigerator and microwave, and patching holes where older window dressings were. Additionally, the shower head comes out of the wall at the 5'9" mark and points down, so any normal male has to duck in the shower, which...
