We stayed at the Eureka Resort as part of a golf package. If my husband decides to do this again next year we will be staying somewhere else. Everything about this hotel is average. From hairs in the bathroom and on the towels to noticeable pieces of food/trash on the carpet, it didn't make me feel like the rooms are especially cleaned between guests. There was so much hair left behind in our friends room that we had to ask for theirs to be cleaned again. The staff wasn't necessarily rude but a little abrasive whenever we had questions (restaurant recommendations, shuttle/taxi services, late check out, etc). The pool area was always overcrowded (when it was actually a decent temperature to be out there) and that area is already small to begin with.

The bathroom has see through glass on some of the rooms. Don’t stay there or at least make sure that your kids won’t see you going to the bathroom etc if you stay in one of these rooms. I’m shocked at this… they need to put blinds over the bathroom glass or get new doors. If you don’t care about that sort of thing then otherwise it’s pretty decent… make sure when leaving your room you make sure that you not only shut the door, but make sure that you make sure that you can’t push it open without the key. We were pushing our door pretty hard to make sure it was really shut.

The Eureka has the advantage of having rooms, restaurants, spa and a pool plus the casino all in one location. We were there for a stopover on a trip. The rooms were very nice, quiet (no interstate noise), and comfortable. It was nice to just walk over to the casino and also have restaurants convenient.

This was our 15th annual stay at the Eureka. We are 6 or 8 couples who come for golf every year and we always stay at the Eureka. Jennifer and Alexis are the best for setting up our Stay and Play. Everyone in our group thanks me for all my work putting it together but it's really those 2 who do it all!!! The Eureka is a wonderful place to stay. We always reserve the Garden Patio rooms so after golf we have a place to gather for drinks, snacks and golf stories! We set up our Corn Hole (bean bag game) in the area outside our rooms for a fun game one afternoon. The pool and spa area is always clean, nice cabanas and new furniture are a plus. The lobby is beautiful and the staff is always pleasantand accommodating. Last year we came in late June because of Covid closure. Because of the heat in late June, the staff allowed us to gather in the computer area for pizza.
Our rooms are outstanding, comfortable beds, small refrigerator and always kept clean by your wonderful housekeeping staff. I love not having to walk through a casino to get to our rooms. The Casino is just a very short walk away...lots of new, fun machines this year. Mason Street is a great place to meet for breakfast and very reasonable good food. We absolutely LOVE LOVE Gregory's for dinner. Can't wait to come back again next May!!!

The personnel at the hotel and casino were very helpful and hospitable, but the condition of the hotel and the fact that it was separated from the casino was upsetting. Would not have booked if I knew this before hand. The room itself needed to be remodeled. Carpet very dirty -- several stains all over the carpet. The controls on the air conditioner would not let you turn down below 67 degrees and room felt hotter than that. The bathroom was awful. Very cheap shower insert without a tub that looked like it needed to be replaced! Very small screen tv. The pool would have been nice if we could have enjoyed it. Went out to pool and there were 10-15 guys (bachelor party) that took over the pool, Very loud and obnoxious!!! They also lined the pool with all their empty beer cans. We did not stay very long. The hotel needs to monitor what is going on in the pool! Breaksfast buffet needs to be upgraded with more options!! The food in the cafe was okay needs more options.

I used their website to book. BEWARE!!! If you click the back button to choose a different room, it changes the dates on you. I booked a room for the weekend I thought! When in reality, it was booked for the night I booked hotel. Once we got to the hotel, we were told we didn't have a reservation for the evening that it was booked for a past night. SURPRISE!!! and it was your error so we can't do anything about it. If it was Eureka's error, we would comp you the night, but it was your error. OR rather the websites error, so sorry!! They could obviously see it was a technical error, but not their problem. My take it that they purposely have the website to default to today's date anytime you go to look at a different style room and if you aren't paying extremely close attention, you are going to book for current night instead of the night you think you are booking for. Even being military vet, they were not willing to work with us. Thanks OMAR!! The place has really gone down hill. See photos below.
We paid again so we would have a place to stay for the night and were very disappointed once we got to our room. Stained carpets, old torn chairs, Very run down from when we stayed last. We won't be back and highly encourage you to pick a different hotel!!

I booked the Paramount Suite for my wife and I for our 15 year wedding anniversary. At the time of our stay, this room cost us $275 per night with the Military rate. Here is my honest review of the “Resort”

There are almost ZERO amenities included with the cost of your room, even in the most expensive room they offer. Surprising since they market as a resort destination.

There is no spa.

There is a buffet at the casino, but it is only for brunch on Sundays. The closest food is at the virgin river casino across the street.

The only thing offered in the morning in an industry where even a continental breakfast is standard, is black coffee.

The pool and courtyard area could be very nice, however it is poorly maintained. All of the lounging furniture is dirty and looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned in a good long time. The pool itself is filthy. I have attached photos. In the two days that we have been here, I haven’t even seen anyone attempt to at least skim the junk off the surface. This is a really big 0/10 for me since it was one of the main reasons for booking here.

The paramount suite was a great room and really the only saving grace for our trip. The room is spacious and the bathroom with deep jacuzzi tub with enough space for two, and large walk-in shower were excellent. The bed was uncomfortable and the sheets are scratchy. The surprising thing was that this top tier room had such a crappy view. Literally every view from the room is of parking lot, a big miss considering the nice looking courtyard and pool in the back.

The staff was friendly, but since there’s not anything to book for amenities or reservations for dinner, there’s not really any reason to interact besides to just check in and check out.

Overall the quality of the room itself is the only reason I can say anything positive about our stay. Is it worth $275 or more per night? Absolutely not. At maybe half the rate I think it would be easier to justify it being worth the experience we have had.

I’ll be looking for a different place to stay for our next trip.

We spent two nights at the Eureka in July, 2020. With most families staying at home during the pandemic and the hotel practicing extreme care to keep everyone safe, there were not very many people at the hotel or, for that matter, in the town of Mesquite. The staff at the front desk were very professional and very accommodating. The pool was open and uncrowded. We are not gamblers, but walked through the casino a couple of times. On Friday and Saturday, there weren't many people there. My wife and I enjoyed staying there. The beds were comfortable and the service was great.

Have stayed here on 10+ stays over 13 years of golf visits and never had a problem until this year. One of the 2 rooms reserved had somehow been cancelled and the other we were given was a smoking room.
Thank goodness there was ONE room still left when I called to say we would be arriving late or we would have had a much-worse situation. Never received an explanation or apology. I guess one bad experience doesn't ruin many prior positives, but such an experience does make one think about returning when other options are available nearby - especially at the price they now charge!

The room was nice. If I had to rate it, I'd give it a 3 out of 5. And they offer a bottle of water, for $4.00 a bottle. Seriously? At $165+ a night you can't afford to provide a bottle of water to your guests? Not overly impressed in any particular area but, it's what we've come to expect post-covid. For the price one pays for a room and associated taxes/fees, one should expect an equitable accommodation. Especially at a casino, where you go intending to donate, with a slim opportunity to win. Other Casino/Hotel combinations offer reduced rates to draw customers in. Not so much at the Eureaka! One of the more expensive hotels in the area. The hotel is physically separate from the casino so you must walk to the casino. However, the hotel does offer a shuttle to and from the casino. This hotel does offer somewhat of a more private atmosphere than the others in Mesquite. Delicious food is available almost everywhere in Mesquite. Don't limit yourself to simply the restaurants at the casino for meals. Do your research prior to booking. All in all, would I recommend this hotel to others? Yes, with this qualification, be sure this is what you want in a Casino/Hotel.
