What a fantastic place. Beautifully done old with the new. Melissa & Mark looked after us so well. Home made cake on arrival with a rustic loaf to go with our locally sourced breakfast. Fantastic location with lovely views. We were lucky enough to get these few days by winning on an Auction of Promises run by the local Young...

My partner treated me to a weekend in Elinor Fettiplace for my birthday at the beginning of October. Wow! The accommodation was stunning; rustic but luxurious. The owners, Melissa and Mark, have obviously put a lot of effort in to making sure their guests have a wonderful stay, and that we did. The extra personal touches, like the home made...

We spent a few days at Pauntley Court in early August of 2016. « We » being my wife, our two grand-daughters, 12 and 14 years old, and myself. The main purpose of the trip was Downton Abbey, and that was duly taken care of. But we did not expect that it would go on afterwards,? It did. Pauntley Court...

Stayed in the holiday cottage for a week and what a week. A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage had an air of calm and tranquillity about it from the moment you opened the door. Waiting on the side in the kitchen was a welcome tray all set for tea with a wonderful sponge cake and the fridge...

For detail and consideration to what guests might want, Pauntley is every bit as good as a 5 star hotel without the fuss and pretense. I agree with natara2014's review...I don't want to tell anyone about it because it is so good.

We had the most relaxing and decadent weekend staying at Pauntley Court. It was a bit of a last minute getaway and we stayed in the super comfortable and luxurious John Masefield bedroom. This was the nicest B & B we stayed in during our trip to England and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the wonderful hosts, to the luxurious and beautifully decorated Elinor Fettiplace cottage (2 stories of warmth and beauty - with views out every window), it was like living in a fairy tale for 3 days. We strolled...

Pauntley Court must be one of the most enchanting houses in which to stay. It is said to be the birthplace of Dick Whittington, who travelled from here to become Lord Mayor of London. Pauntley Court has beautiful formal gardens and is situated in a stunning position. The village of Pauntley is on the edge of the Cotswolds, two and half hours drive from London. Mark and Melissa welcome you. We have two beautiful Bed & Breakfast rooms in the main house and a third bedroom in our holiday let Elinor Fettiplace, which is a self catering wing off the main house. Pauntley is a peaceful and magical place to come and relax and enjoy the beautiful gloucestershire countryside away from the strains of modern day life. ... more   less
