There are not many choices for lodging here so we stayed at the Avi Resort. First there is a $100 security deposit you have to pay upfront t along with your room charge. Second you have to walk all the way thru the smokey casino to get to coffee or a place to eat which means you eat smelling smoke plus the food was fast food type. Then there was our room which I am still not convinced it was clean. When I got the blow dryer bag off the shelf it was completely covered in dust. The faucet didn't look clean and the hand mirror certainly was not clean. It almost seemed like the room had sat for a long time after cleaning and we paid extra for a "luxury" room. No microwave and no coffee pot, bare minimum for sure and not cheap either

I recently stayed at Avi. I stay several times a year. I know that Covid has changed things but the handling of Covid is a direct result of management. At Avi it isn’t being handled well. We were disappointed when pulling in that Valet was closed. But more disappointed when you couldn’t even pull into the Valet area to unload your car! Why? It’s the only shaded spot. Plus the surrounding area had signs to not unload in that area! Why! No bellman service, and you can’t unload near the Hotel! We tried and tried and couldn’t get a luggage cart. We finally had to ask for a manager. Waited outside for 30 minutes for one to be brought out. Avi clearly needs to order more carts!! When I complained to the clerk at check-in about the lack of bellman, she rudely stated that her and the other clerks hope the bellman don’t come back!!! Then she stated she had to hear it all. I pointed out to her that she would be the person checking in guests would vent to as she is our only contact person, hoping she would relay concerns to management. We finally made it to our room. The room was made up but no toilet paper and no wash cloths. Getting wash cloths seemed to be a problem during our whole stay. Do we need to order wash cloths? We later while at the pool saw a man wheel a luggage cart with ice chests, beach umbrella, etc out to the river!! How many employees did he pass to do this and not be stopped him!? The cart sat out there the remainder of the day, meanwhile guest are struggling to check in. I hope you can hire the people you need but in any case, order what you need and let YOUR guests check in, in the covered area!!! It was a 120 that day!!

We had an exceptional experience at the Moonshadow grill. We ordered salmon piccatta style and prime rib. Both were excellent. The service was perfect. Each course was timed to create a relaxing meal experience.

Went for a youth football tournament in Bullhead City. 120 degrees for 4 days. AC in the room was old and very noisy and didn't cool much. I did order for an extra charge a refrigerator. I had to call after an hour and it was another hour before it got there. No coffee maker in the room and they never gave us new cups. My daughter was in a newer room with a new AC and it was quiet and cold. The room was old, chair was frayed and there was a broken lamp with no bulb but the view over the river was awesome. The casino was fun, the pool was great until 3 PM then too hot to go into. LOTS of kids and large groups take over shade areas in the pool.. Not outside the pool but they park in they shaded areas of the water. Never made it to the beach - too hot. Overall experience was really good. Got checked in 3 hours early, had a gold cart driving folks from close parking to door in the heat. No bellmen, and limited luggage carts but we got lucky. Kids had a ball in the arcade and at the movies. My granddaughter even won a pair of Iphone airpods in a 2 dollar arcade machine and the other won an echo dot. Best part was the AZ allstars (my grandsons football team) won the tournament!

For the lady that was upset about the lack of Watercraft docking at the Avi I was born in Needles and have frequently returned to Laughlin over the years. (Since Laughlin had only 3 casinos and the Riverside being the biggest at about the size of a regular sized Walmart, my grandfather has been going there since before it was named Laughlin and it consisted of a bait and tackle store, lol) I occasionally use to launch at the Avi, but if want the most awesome time, it's well worth it to drive 30 minutes south to Topock and launch at Park Moabi. You are right at the beginning of Topock canyon and its a beautiful area to boat through. Canyon walls, private sandy beaches (no roads into the area, only access is by the river) You come out the other side at Lake Havasu and can cruise underneath the real London Bridge that was moved there years ago. It's well worth the short drive!
