When I arrived at 2 am by myself with two kids, they had no record of my reservation that night even though it was made through Hilton Grand Vacations. The hotel was full and they hey didn't offer ANY assistance in relocating me to another Hilton property AND they wouldn't even store my luggage until the next day when they did have record of my reservation. I was in room 1867, Club Tower. My non-smoking room smelled smoky, there was not a coffee maker in the room and they had none available but said if they had it would have been $30 for my 2 night stay. Bed are soft and springy. Find somewhere else to stay.

Hotel's Favorite
had a bungalow suite on main floor - beautiful room and very close to casino and pool. Our casino host, Gina, helped with reservations and amenities. Our room had coffee pot and refrigerator. We saw 3 shows - comedy shop, legends, and 3 Redneck Tenors. The 3 Redneck Tenor show was amazing! It was good to see that some of our favorite cocktail waitresses (Tracy is our favorite but all are very dedicated and cordial) are back at work and that more restaurant options are available since our April visit. Our room was cleaned perfectly daily. We have been coming to Tropicana for many years and only gamble there using the player's club cards. Gina makes us feel like valued customers and we are very thankful for her! We visited the pool daily and made reservations for pool chairs ahead of time. Very relaxing visit!

Absolutely disgusting, needs a good clean, customer service was terrible, cleaners didn't come around to clean rooms, no refreshments, they've got a cheek to ask for resort fee, will never stay there again, vegas has gone down hill

A Doubletree in name only. I’d sort of expected Hilton had refreshed the only Tropicana up some, but no…the Tropicana was showing its age in the 90s and it’s an old gal who has smoked those cigs for a long time! Where to start, the hot water flowed, but the cold trickled, so good luck getting just warm water to wash your face. There isn’t a fridge or a coffee maker in the room, which you sort of expect in a Doubletree. The sun filter film our windows was filthy and peeling. I’d not stay here again…that’s for sure!

I’m a lifetime Hilton honors member and made a reservation through what I thought was the Tropicana in Las Vegas. On the Tropicana website a screen popped up that said “guest reservations. I made my reservation and soon found out that this was not the hotel it was a third party reservation site. Long story short, I couldn’t cancel my reservation, no refund. I also couldn’t use my Hilton homers or earn points for my stay. This is a scam! Be careful making your reservation for the Tropicana in Las Vegas.

The worst Las Vegas or Hilton stay I’ve ever had in my life! No coffee maker or refrigerator in the room. They charge for both if you want them delivered to your room, and yet add resort fee to your room charges anyway. Gym is only open 8-5??!!! Seriously most are 24H!!

Spent a few days in Las Vegas for business and this property was booked for our team to stay. The Tropicana is one of the original properties that made Vegas famous. It is commendable that they have been able to compete with the flashy new hotels, that are opulent and more glamorous, but it is still standing. The Tropicana has two options for rooms; the tower and the bungalows. As I did not know which would be better, I selected the tower. I was assigned a room on the second floor in the Club Tower. Walking through the hotel, the stale smell of smoke is overwhelming. In fact, I found myself gasping for air and coughing to clear my lungs throughout my stay. The newer properties have invested in better ventilation, which does not seem to matter to the Hilton. After a long walk through the casino, you go up a flight (elevator or escalator) and take the long-extended walk to the tower. It is a long one, and if you have luggage forget about it....At the end of your journey, you take another elevator up to your floor. There are 21 floors in this tower, and I was assigned to the 2nd. My room was clean and had a bamboo theme to the furnishings and art. The room had two queen beds, a chair, a desk, and a desk chair. No frig, or microwave for those who like that. The bathroom has some age; a huge tub which could probably fit two, that is about 20 inches high to navigate. They provided small shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer, and soap. Towels were limited but adequate. The trend now is not to service rooms during your stay, which I am not so much a fan. Towels and trash should be serviced daily, at least, and I never saw a housekeeper on my floor in the three days I was there. The casino where I spent very little time, had several "guests" who did not make me feel safe. There was a homeless couple carrying their belongings in a garbage bag, that approached my colleague and offered "favors" in exchange for money. She wanted to report it to security, but at 8:30 pm, she was unable to find anyone. The best part of this property is Robert Irvine's restaurant. I ate there for lunch after a recommendation from colleagues. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced with friendly, attentive staff. They serve breakfast until 2 pm, for those who tilt the clock. But don't miss the pickled brine fried chicken sandwich; it is very good. My recommendation is to review all the properties before you choose to stay in Vegas. The views of the mountains are amazing which I so enjoyed. Tropicana is hanging in there, but could use a little attention.

The room was dirty, the carpet, furniture and wall paper were all stained. The dresser drawer didn’t stay closed, the room was not serviced by housekeeping, I could hear every noise from the room next door, the decor was very dated, it was lacking ambiance or even a good place to sit.

For the price, this was a great stopover for 2 nights during my extended cross country drive. Stayed in the Club Tower, but be aware that this Tower is a much longer walk from reception and the casino via a passageway than the Paradise Tower — this can be a bit of a pain with bags. That being said, really spacious corner room which was clean and had a very comfortable bed. Super friendly housekeeping staff! Common areas starting to show their age and could do without the resort fee nonsense, but otherwise still a gem right on The Strip. For drivers, self parking is free for hotel guests.

The room was very shabby and worse, there was no fridge, no microwave not even a coffee-maker. The room was cold and the temperature control had no effect. Our car was parked quite close to the room but we had a 10 minute walk to get to it as we were forced to return to the lobby through the smoke-filled casino to leave and enter the building. Hot water was intermittent. The pool was closed as were some of the coffee shops which resulted in long lines. We had to leave.
