This place is way over the top with mask requirements. If you sit at the bar (only one is open), you MUST wear your mask the entire time. You can only lift your mask to sip your drink the immediately replace it after each sip!!! And if you are at a slot machine with no one in sight, the attendants police you to make sure your mask is properly over your nose!!!! This is ridiculous sh!t. We made a big mistake coming here.

I love this place!! Very very clean and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The casino is never crowded. You can actually play on the tables and at a slot machine. It’s not fun when you don’t get good playing time. The casino hosts go above and beyond. Lionel Madrid is fabulous! It’s the perfect place to stay. I pick the Tropicana every time we visit Las Vegas.

Love this place. Clean and cheap. Stay in the paradise tower; it's fairly newly renovated, better than the other tower which hasn't been renovated yet. Also, you're close to Vegas Blvd..and front desk. The other tower is way in the back of the hotel; quite a walk.

Nice Room, but we stayed in August and the air conditioner didn't work. They said they were sold out and refused to move us to a different room and it took the repair guy three visits to get it working. We will not be returning.

The Tropicana Las Vegas is one of the storied Las Vegas Blvd. casinos which dates to the pre-mega casino resort era. I recall visiting the LV Tropicana in the 1980s and its Atlantic City property about the same time. The hotel casino is showing its age, both in the public spaces and in the rooms which detracts when comparing to other Strip properties. The Tropicana is actually owned by Penn Gaming, which is the operator of the Hollywood Casino properties around the country, and this ownership opens up their gaming rewards program and its generous sign-up benefits. I enjoyed using those comps while playing the poker machines on the floor for the 3 days when I stayed in mid-February during the time of the Nevada Caucus excitement. The Tropicana is also a licensee of the Hilton Doubletree branding. That is a smart move because as a Hilton Honors Gold member, there are many advantages to staying at Hilton properties in Las Vegas. The Tropicana does give elite Honors members a separate check-in area and a daily food credit. You can also redeem points for free nights and thus avoid the annoying "resort fee." I stayed on a lower floor in a club room in one of the towers, and it was pleasantly quiet, and window treatments allowed the room to be dark despite facing east. In general, I was satisfied with my stay, the gaming, the amenities, and the food service, but not enough to rate the property as Above Average" when benchmarked with the off-strip Airport Doubletree (where I stayed in Feb. 2019, and just 2 miles away), and other more spectacular properties on the Strip. I will review the hotel/casino restaurants separately.
