Not familiar with Las Vegas so know now to pay a bit extra to be on the strip or near the Fremont Experience although budget shouldn't mean dirty. But it was alright, big room with nice balcony overlooking the pool, Friendly front staff. Bathroom door had make up stains on it, vent was noisy and hairdryer didn't work, TV was... More

2 double beds in a small room with small bathroom. Everything functional including fridge and microwave. Outside balcony walkway is continuous without barriers between rooms. Quiet surroundings. Friendly and accommodating front staff who stored our baggage for a night flight. Bus stop to Strip nearby. Reasonably priced Cuban restaurant on site which we enjoyed.

This was an ok place for a short stay before flying on. A bit outdated, some noise and plastic sheets on the bed. But it is relatively close to downtown (and airport) and staff were surprisingly friendly and helpful.

Room not bad a little dated, blow dryer did'nt work and not enough towels for two people and kind of rough. On the good side bed was very comfortable, air works great and lots of lighting. Would recommend to others if they couldn't afford a luxury hotel.

Shalimar is at the far end of the strip, with less glitz and more pawn shops, but it's a nice establishment, reasonably priced, has interior, quiet rooms (a bit shabby but clean), a helpful desk (arranging shuttle to airport, e.g.) and a great Cuban restaurant/bakery, not to mention being able to watch wedding parties come and go to the Shalimar... The room is compact. The coat/ bed provided was a little bit old and tilty but all other wise was good. The location is good as you can easily reach fremont street as well as the strip casinos. A better coat/ bed would surely help and rest is good. I checked in late and the staff was very friendly.

Did the job it was supposed to do. Room was clean and had everything we needed for our extended stay in Vegas. This hotel was great for what we needed it to be. A little ways away from the strip, but close enough to get there and see the sites. The only complaint I had was there were not enough... More

Old tired and unnecessarily expensive. Rooms were no better than a cheap Motel. If I booked to marry here, I'd be very disappointed. For the same price you could get a room in one of the big strip hotels, or even cheaper in one of the older ones like Circus Circus.

Thank You for your response. The Shalimar Hotel is a small property that is fully enjoyed by guests that are looking to be able to park close to their room without having to walk great distances. Our large outdoor swimming pool and Wi-Fi are complimentary amenities that most other properties charge a "resort fee" in order to have access to... More

Once you are off the street, on the grounds and inside you will be surprised - it's safe and secure. The driveway in is narrow and serves as both entry and exit, and there are no entry or exit points out back. I made our reservation with Arlet, who was actually on the desk at check-in - truly a doll... More
