Been coming here off and on the past ten years. It's time to put some work into this place, it's starting to look run down. All the comments about rude employees are spot on, but then again, this is Vegas. It could be worse, but I've learned to deal with it. The hotel does attract a sketchy element, watch yourself, especially in the early morning. The Keno lounge needs serious updating, it's probably the most depressing one on the strip. Security, at least it's consistent at the elevators, but the guards need to check your keys to see that it's active like they do at The Gold Coast. I had just stayed there and had two key cards that were the same color. What's to stop someone from picking up some key cards a visitor leaves on a trash can or throws away? Or worse, gives to someone they know or a random bum on the street? Boom, now they have access to all the rooms by just flashing it to a guard. Stupid. Most of the guards are serious, some look like they just don't care. To their credit, I saw that they clearly stopped some kids who were up to no good, so they are doing their job. Take note that room theft definitely is happening and you should take your part on your end to prevent it from happening, in and out of the room, regardless, but especially in Vegas. Security is a big reason Caesars lost my business and I went to stay in Boyd Hotels my whole trip. In Laughlin at Harrah's, they had no one watching the elevators. Scary. Kept everything close to me that night.

We have been fans and customer of the Orleans (and Boyd gaming) for many years. Both business and pleasure trips seem to be smoother here with plenty of parking, good value and bigger rooms than elsewhere. They seem to provide better customer service since they are off-strip and seem to try harder to gain our business. This casino resort has a great poker room, parking garage near by and nice restaurants. Bowling alley is a plus and don't really need to leave here. We do an annual motorcycle trip and stay the first night at the Orleans, go riding for two or three days, return for another night then head back home. This last trip we called ahead to make sure it would be all right to leave a small truck and trailer in the lot. Over the phone, Marcelus (?) in security said it would be fine. When we arrived the two guys on security patrol said it would be fine, just call the security office with the vehicle info. We spoke with Brenda in security and she said if we left a vehicle in the lot and not a guest of the casino it would be towed away. Thanks Orleans, we won't be back.

While I still have a hard time walking through casinos that still allow smoking, the hotel rooms were very good. Larger than I expected with comfy sofa and bed. Security made sure that no unsavory people made it to the rooms without a room key. Pool was warm and inviting. Many food and entertainment choices. Well off the strip, so not as much traffic or noise. Reasonable rates.

We arrived in the morning and paid a 25.00 early check in fee. It was worth every penny. The room was huge and wonderful. The Orleans is a hidden gem in Vegas. It's off the strip, but it still has tons to offer. I highly reccomend The Orleans. It is truly a wonderful place. Reasonable prices and great service!
