A wonderful experience. I upgraded to the suite with spa, definitely a good choice. A great location on the Strip and the facilities were amazing with extensive gaming options and a dozen or so restaurants. A wonderful pool area with amazing cocktails also. The service very friendly and efficient. It’s a winner.

Well, I unfortunately lost the very long review I just tried to post here but to summarize, don’t read into the negative reviews! I had read the elevators have issues but it’s because they are remodeling and updating the hotel so some (I only found 1) may run slow. All you have to do is walk 10-20 feet to the next elevator and crisis averted! I encounter only one slow elevator until someone told me to just walk down the hall to the next one which had no issues so all those reviews are just ridiculous 😅. I also read the rooms were dirty and the shower didn’t drain.. no issues there! And I changed rooms due to some loud neighbors blasting music. They were able to change rooms with no issues and even gave me a credit for free drinks/dinner for the troubles (even though no fault of the hotel). My boyfriends parents came on the trip and their room was also spotless and I’ll say the beds and pillows were some of the most comfortable I’ve stayed in! My boyfriends parents had an issue with their safe one night and they promptly fixed the issue and again compensated them for the trouble (none of us asked for that). The other thing I read complaints of was the smell of smoke.. well, you’re in Vegas and most hotels and casinos allow that so if this is such an issue, go to one of the non smoking ones. They did the best they could but it is what it is and wasn’t that bad (coming from a non smoker). They had plenty of security in and outside the hotel which made me safe and secure. The food options were fantastic at NYNY. Big shoutout to Gallagher’s restaurant for the best prime rib, lobster tail and and steak I’ve ever had! Definitely a must try! My only negatives are that the waitress at Nine Fine Irishmen was lacking in her costumer service skill.. maybe she needs a vacation (or maybe just time to retire) as she was a bit rude and cranky. I also wish they had mini fridges in the rooms to hold your water and leftovers.. I get this is typical for Vegas but still would love to have that option. All the staff I encountered were stellar and went out of their way to make my stay wonderful which it was so I’m happy to come back one day ☺️☺️

Staff were so friendly. They really made us feel special even through their difficult computer problems. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is being asked to pay $10 each just to drink in 2 of their hotel bars. Entrance fees? Really? Oh and the 2 drinks costing $25 at the Irish bar when he didn’t even ring in the till, dodgy. Everything else was true Vegas, pricey but memorable. No regrets staying here

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, great location, next to Excalibur and Grand MGM. Rooms were quite comfortable and soundproof. Many ammenities could be found at the first floor (food court, pool, gym, theater, etc).

We went to Vegas in September to have a few relaxing days by the pool. The NY-NY has a smaller pool area, but it wasn't crowded. The hot tub is amazing. They did have a few rent me chairs, but most of the chairs by the pool were free. (unlike Planet Hollywood) The room was renovated and very nice. We stayed in the Century Tower and had an amazing view. You had to tap your room key with security before you accessed the elevators, which was odd, but not inconvenient. I didn't notice them doing that at any of the other towers. The casino was the same as always. Whenever we are in Vegas we always go to the Nine Five Irishmen pub. The band and dancers are amazing. I had one of the best salmon dinners I have ever eaten. We also enjoyed the patio at Tom's Watch bar. I bought an all day pass for the roller coaster, so that occupied some of my time. The location of the hotel is really good. The tram is at the MGM which is across the street. The OYO is walking distance, and they have the lowest table prices on the strip. The room was incredibly cheap. For a great strip experience, this is a go to hotel.

I will start my review by saying that the hotel itself is fine. I last stayed here 20 years ago and the hotel has been well maintained. The rooms are fine (nothing special) and the bathroom design is definitely dated (small, shower with tub, old fixtures, and 90s layout). The rooms seem to have been renovated in the last few years, but the bathrooms are the same. I was surprised that a hotel in this price range ($300 per night while I was there) didn't have any glass drinking cups and didn't have a coffee maker in the room. Certainly not normal for a four-star hotel. We arrived on Tuesday, September 12, the first full day of the shutdown caused by the Scattered Spider cyber-attack on MGM's systems. When we arrived around 11AM, a staff member at the valet area asked us to check in our bags. I told him that we were checking in. He said that we can't check in, despite the fact that I had paid for an early check in. Not wanting to wait another 3 hours to check in, I went to the front desk and was told the same thing. I asked if I could cancel my reservation and change to a non-MGM branded hotel, and that was denied also. This is the biggest issue I have with MGM. If systems are down and services are affected, the hotel should allow the customer to cancel the reservation and book elsewhere. Why were we denied this option? We had no option but to wait for 2 PM to check in. When the check-in opened at 2PM, there were a lot of people waiting in line. Our check in took 30 minutes once we got to the front desk. The check in agent had to manually write down our credit card number, take it to the back room for some reason. This is why it took so long to check in. We were only given one key, and when I asked for another key, we were told it isn't possible to have two keys. The hotel charges a $37 per day resort fee, but the Wi-Fi and room phones didn't work the entire time we stayed (checked in on 9/12 and checked out on 9/14). I was in Las Vegas for work and had to use my phone's hot spot so that I could work. This consumed all of my phone hot spot data. My credit card worked for meals on 9/12 and 9/13, but the credit card system was down on 9/14 and I could only pay for coffee with cash or by room charge. On 9/13, I was sitting at the desk working and an engineer abruptly opened our door by scanning his key without knocking. It scared us to death and I was very angry that staff are allowed to enter guest rooms without even knocking. Later, housekeeping came by and asked us why we hadn't checked out. I told her that my stay is for two nights and I would be checking out the next day. She said her information shows that we were supposed to check out on 9/13. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever encountered. MGM should allow customers to get a full refund when they have big issues like this. I will choose to stay at non-MGM properties in the future because of the poor way that they handled this cyber-attack.

This hotel is IMMACULATE! I wish I could move here! Like 10/10 is not even the proper score to give this place. We booked last minute and we were NOT disappointed! The amenities are endless, didn’t even get to enjoy everything but we will be back!

This is only a 4 due to a couple of issues with housekeeping otherwise would have been 5 stars. Our room was a queen double and was quite large. The strip view description was a bit of a stretch as you could just see the beginning of the strip. The hotel casino is one of the liveliest on the strip with loads of options to eat and drink and was our favourite casino even though there are some much grander on the strip. All in all I would recommend a stay here.
