Very old style room. No view whatsover. Our window looked at the back of a metal facade. We kept the curtains closed the entire time. Poor lighting. Furniture not in good condition. Hallway and corridor didn't smell fresh. The only good thing was the water pressure. No fridge. We would never stay in this hotel again. Regardless of the low price we paid for the room through MGM rewards, it wasn't worth it. This room should never be booked for guests to stay in.
Well, I unfortunately lost the very long review I just tried to post here but to summarize, don’t read into the negative reviews! I had read the elevators have issues but it’s because they are remodeling and updating the hotel so some (I only found 1) may run slow. All you have to do is walk 10-20 feet to the next elevator and crisis averted! I encounter only one slow elevator until someone told me to just walk down the hall to the next one which had no issues so all those reviews are just ridiculous 😅. I also read the rooms were dirty and the shower didn’t drain.. no issues there! And I changed rooms due to some loud neighbors blasting music. They were able to change rooms with no issues and even gave me a credit for free drinks/dinner for the troubles (even though no fault of the hotel). My boyfriends parents came on the trip and their room was also spotless and I’ll say the beds and pillows were some of the most comfortable I’ve stayed in! My boyfriends parents had an issue with their safe one night and they promptly fixed the issue and again compensated them for the trouble (none of us asked for that). The other thing I read complaints of was the smell of smoke.. well, you’re in Vegas and most hotels and casinos allow that so if this is such an issue, go to one of the non smoking ones. They did the best they could but it is what it is and wasn’t that bad (coming from a non smoker). They had plenty of security in and outside the hotel which made me safe and secure. The food options were fantastic at NYNY. Big shoutout to Gallagher’s restaurant for the best prime rib, lobster tail and and steak I’ve ever had! Definitely a must try! My only negatives are that the waitress at Nine Fine Irishmen was lacking in her costumer service skill.. maybe she needs a vacation (or maybe just time to retire) as she was a bit rude and cranky. I also wish they had mini fridges in the rooms to hold your water and leftovers.. I get this is typical for Vegas but still would love to have that option. All the staff I encountered were stellar and went out of their way to make my stay wonderful which it was so I’m happy to come back one day ☺️☺️…
Overall enjoyed the hotel/casino. Rooms were clean, roomy and quiet. Good variety of food options to choose from. Hotel and casino were the perfect size, not too big, not too small. Hotel staff definitely could have been more friendly, had some staff members contradict things so that made things a bit frustrating. None of the contradictions were a big deal, just minor annoyances.
New York New York accommodation is very reasonably priced. It is a great location for what we needed to do - only 400 yards from concert at MGM Park. There are reasonably priced places to eat near by, and good shops for the little 'domestic' things you need when away from home. New York New York is relatively easy to find your way around. You can check in and out using the App and it is easy to get Uber to and from airport . Security were good in that they had my wife's lost phone, although obviously I do not know if it was staff who found it or a member of the public. The roller coaster is a good quick way of seeing Vegas ! We also both won on Roulette machine so stay was great
Very basic room, nothing special. There is no microwave or fridge. Room is kind of dated and not super nice. It was kind of clean but could’ve been better. Latch was broken on bathroom, super basic TV no extras. A good bit overpriced for what it is.
Although this hotel offers alot, I dont think I would stay here again. The pool is just okay and is not open very late, the pool should close when the sun goes down. For the price I was expecting more, but the rooms are pretty budget and kinda gross. Our room was not updated and the wall paper was peeling their was black & orange mold in the shower and in the bathroom and gross dust bunches throughout the room.
Had my daughter 21st birthday planned at this location. Everything was excellent! So many places are close by. Don’t go to Dennys the one that is close by. Rude manager. New York New York was awesome!
Just got back from 7 nights in New York new york and over all fairly pleased with the hotel our rooms were cleaned every day the pool was a lovely way to chill out and there was always plenty of beds to choose from. The only down side was even though you pay $250 resort fees you still have to pay to get into any of the bars in the hotel on the night even if your staying at the hotel I thought hotel guests shouldn't have to pay if you can show proof your stopping there
We enjoyed the casino, restaurants, nightlife and staff. Rooms were not great. Clean but needs updated. Lacks a refrigerator. Very warm and uncomfortable at night, air controls did not change anything
Staff members and customer service was rude when asking for directions or questions. No refrigerator or coffee maker in room. Digital key not working or parking pass. Restaurant pricey slots not paying. Pool closing at 5pm not happy.
