The NYNY has great night life and a good selection of gambling. The mix of adult and kid friendly entertainment is a nice balance. Plus it is a nice location close to the Tmobile arena and Allegiant Stadium. However, it is not the best place for a dog. The rooms are far from the pet relief area and are not worth the extra cost to bring your furry friend. Consider booking elsewhere if you are bringing a pet along.
Well, I unfortunately lost the very long review I just tried to post here but to summarize, don’t read into the negative reviews! I had read the elevators have issues but it’s because they are remodeling and updating the hotel so some (I only found 1) may run slow. All you have to do is walk 10-20 feet to the next elevator and crisis averted! I encounter only one slow elevator until someone told me to just walk down the hall to the next one which had no issues so all those reviews are just ridiculous 😅. I also read the rooms were dirty and the shower didn’t drain.. no issues there! And I changed rooms due to some loud neighbors blasting music. They were able to change rooms with no issues and even gave me a credit for free drinks/dinner for the troubles (even though no fault of the hotel). My boyfriends parents came on the trip and their room was also spotless and I’ll say the beds and pillows were some of the most comfortable I’ve stayed in! My boyfriends parents had an issue with their safe one night and they promptly fixed the issue and again compensated them for the trouble (none of us asked for that). The other thing I read complaints of was the smell of smoke.. well, you’re in Vegas and most hotels and casinos allow that so if this is such an issue, go to one of the non smoking ones. They did the best they could but it is what it is and wasn’t that bad (coming from a non smoker). They had plenty of security in and outside the hotel which made me safe and secure. The food options were fantastic at NYNY. Big shoutout to Gallagher’s restaurant for the best prime rib, lobster tail and and steak I’ve ever had! Definitely a must try! My only negatives are that the waitress at Nine Fine Irishmen was lacking in her costumer service skill.. maybe she needs a vacation (or maybe just time to retire) as she was a bit rude and cranky. I also wish they had mini fridges in the rooms to hold your water and leftovers.. I get this is typical for Vegas but still would love to have that option. All the staff I encountered were stellar and went out of their way to make my stay wonderful which it was so I’m happy to come back one day ☺️☺️…
I always enjoy the NYNY but she is starting to age. The staff seem tired and not as outgoing as in the past but the value is still worth the stay. Nine Fine Irishmen and Gallaghers make dining fun and tasty, but if you are gaming the service for drinks is slow.
I don’t think I’ll be staying at the hotel again after the experience we had this past weekend. Some of it was not on the resort, but some it certainly felt like we given salt to our wound and the quality of the room for price was nothing comparable to what I’ve stayed in before. The Ballys hotel is not nearly as reputable and their hotel comparison from my trip in February exceeded the expectations I had for NYNY this trip
Went for a conference for work and took family along, Best time ever. Plenty for family to do will in my meetings and when done , I was able to enjoy time with my family by pool, walk the strip, dinner at all the restaurants in the casino. We will come back as a family again.
Great place to eat and gamble. Roller coaster a blast!!! Rode it several times. Italian restaurant was spot on and great service. Coffee shop fast and friendly. if you go to Vegas New York New York is the place to stay
Rooms need a refresh and they are doing so but cant stay in renovated rooms until 2023. Second night there was a very loud humming noise I presume coming from the main HVAC units below my room. The loudness stopped around 1 am but was too late at night to complain. The other nights whatever was broken had been fixed. Lots of food choices within the casino that other MGM properties dont offer the ease of choices. Towards the end of the strip but still close enough to other major properties.
Been coming to NYNY 2-3 times a year for over 20 years (minus last two covid years) and always felt SAFE (so many security/police) and in an environment that serves its clients to the maximum in every way. Still a vibrant all age casino. So happy to return for a five day stay and it didn't disappoint me in any way. The hotel is very clean but in need of some room upgrades; but, the NEW renovations to halls and rooms has started and we were fortunate to have a tour of the first renovated floor and they are gorgeous!!! So looking forward to staying in one of the rooms at New Years. NOTE – Nine Fine Irishmen restaurant gives so much food you can not possibly eat by yourself; share, share, share. Food excellent as in all their restaurants there. Make sure to get a Players card because the perks are unreal, can't wait to go back! …
Love coming to NYNY it has a variety of machines, black jack tables, restaurants, music, entertainment and the piano dueling bar. Rode the roller coaster this time it was awesome! Played in the arcade and the virtual games were fantastic. Did some shopping too.
The NYC ambiance is charming and quite comfortable. Featuring the Best Deli in Vegas - and a wide range of other dining options - this hotel can easily compete on the quality of its food alone. The NYNY is located on the south end of The Strip: close to everything.
