Pros: Newly remodeled rooms Cons: rude, terrible front desk staff, poor player card benefits. New management does not seem to care about their guests at all. I have been staying at this hotel for years. But I will no longer stay at this hotel ever again. Juan who helped us at the front desk was awful. He was very condescending and was very pushy about selling us these very expensive upgrades that we did not want. I'm talking close to a thousand dollars just for three days. We were there on a comp room as I'm a mgm rewards member. He was trying to charge us for anything he could because we were checking in on a comp. Then he made us wait 3 hours to check in to our room. We finally get to the newly remodeled room(that I had to pay extra for) & the A/C does not work. Then later in the night I'm gambling on a slot and a man tried to sit in my husband's chair while he was in the restroom and tried to force me to go with him. My husband had to come back and intervene. There was no security around to help us.Dangerous place. Do not go here!

Well, I unfortunately lost the very long review I just tried to post here but to summarize, don’t read into the negative reviews! I had read the elevators have issues but it’s because they are remodeling and updating the hotel so some (I only found 1) may run slow. All you have to do is walk 10-20 feet to the next elevator and crisis averted! I encounter only one slow elevator until someone told me to just walk down the hall to the next one which had no issues so all those reviews are just ridiculous 😅. I also read the rooms were dirty and the shower didn’t drain.. no issues there! And I changed rooms due to some loud neighbors blasting music. They were able to change rooms with no issues and even gave me a credit for free drinks/dinner for the troubles (even though no fault of the hotel). My boyfriends parents came on the trip and their room was also spotless and I’ll say the beds and pillows were some of the most comfortable I’ve stayed in! My boyfriends parents had an issue with their safe one night and they promptly fixed the issue and again compensated them for the trouble (none of us asked for that). The other thing I read complaints of was the smell of smoke.. well, you’re in Vegas and most hotels and casinos allow that so if this is such an issue, go to one of the non smoking ones. They did the best they could but it is what it is and wasn’t that bad (coming from a non smoker). They had plenty of security in and outside the hotel which made me safe and secure. The food options were fantastic at NYNY. Big shoutout to Gallagher’s restaurant for the best prime rib, lobster tail and and steak I’ve ever had! Definitely a must try! My only negatives are that the waitress at Nine Fine Irishmen was lacking in her costumer service skill.. maybe she needs a vacation (or maybe just time to retire) as she was a bit rude and cranky. I also wish they had mini fridges in the rooms to hold your water and leftovers.. I get this is typical for Vegas but still would love to have that option. All the staff I encountered were stellar and went out of their way to make my stay wonderful which it was so I’m happy to come back one day ☺️☺️

My flight flew in early with the time change but I went to the hotel anyway. While they couldn't guarantee my room would be ready right away because check in is 3pm. They took my bag and I went to get some breakfast. No sooner was I done eating and I got a text my room was ready, it was about 1045 or 11. So that was awesome. My room was on the 38th floor of the empire tower. It was a corner room so it had lots of views. It was very clean and the bed was comfy. The hotel was easy to navigate and had connections to others. I saw Aerosmith at Dolby live at Park MGM and it was a nice and easy walk to venue. There were many delicious restaurants, coffèe shops and of course bars to choose from that are open late if not all night. The New York theme is great throughout NYNY. There is a bar mid casino that was a blast. Super nice people I met there and bonus if your playing the machines at the bar your getting drinks for free basically unlimited with tip of course. The music was a great mix that was on point and everyone seemed to enjoy. While I didn't win any jackpot, the machines kept me entertained and playing Like I'd be up a few hundred from $20 and end up putting it all back in of course. Same thing at a few other casinos I tried out too though I'm not a huge gambler anyway. So overall I loved NYNY Las Vegas. It was reasonably priced. Has a pool but it was closed for the season when I was there. I don't have a bad thing to say! I hope this helps someone looking to stay in Las Vegas and has no clue like I didn't but so glad I picked this hotel.

Thanksgiving trip. Very satisfied with the experience - so many things to do at NY NY. Piano bar open late into the night was a big plus. Only negative was the high price of the beverages, but it is comparable to the other casinos on the strip.

We checked out and the remaining balance was confirmed. When I got home we had a bill for nearly $200 more than stated as well as a second transaction for around $85 from the front desk. I called to inquire as to what these charges were as there was no additional invoice sent after the one that we already approved for a different amount. I got bounced around the phone and finally ended up at accounts receivable only to get a recording saying "We are closed. Visit us on our website." and it hangs up on you. Mind you it was 2:30 pm on a Monday, why are your offices closed? So I go online and fill out the form for billing issues. It says they will email you in 7-10 business days! The transactions will already be posted by then! Then I submit the form to get a copy of my invoice sent to my email. It goes through and the confirmation says it will arrive in my inbox within 1 hour. I wait, and wait, and wait. I search Inbox, All Mail, Spam, and Trash folders - nothing. The next day I go online and re-submit that form... now it says "error, try again later". I try again later, and the same thing. Needless to say, you will be overcharged and it will be IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of anyone for answers! We did have a fridge put in our room for a medical necessity and the front desk did not mention anything about there being a charge for that. We do not smoke. We did not break anything. We put all our trash together and all the used towels together to make it easy on the house keepers when we left. We already paid for parking when we booked the reservation, and they can easily see that if they pull up our account, so there shouldn't be an additional charge for that. I have NO CLUE why the bill is widely different than the invoice received at checkout. This was supposed to be a super special trip for my son. This hotel was on his bucket list and I worked overtime to come up with enough money to surprise him. Now I am stressing about all these additional fees and right before Christmas nonetheless. It's incredibly frustrating being sent in circles and not being able to get a hold of anyone or get answers. I regret ever going to this hotel or this trip in general. We won't be back. Also for families just be mindful that the rooms do not come with a fridge or microwave. The lighted mirrors in the bathroom do not work (or at least ours didn't) and it's not bright in there at all so hard to do makeup and whatnot. The hair dryer is not powerful so bring your own or you'll be sitting there for 30min trying to dry your hair. Housekeeping did not switch out the sheets the first night but did the other nights, which was odd. We almost stepped on a huge nail sticking up out of the carpet within the first hour we were there, so be sure to check the floors! Also, our hot water was spotty. I took a cold shower the first day.

Staff and service was terrible. Check-In staff were rude and condescending when asking about the promotional package offered with my reservations. Rooms are not cleaned unless you stay a min. of 3 nights, so why do ppl have to pay a resort fee?? Parking was once free and then $10/night, but now it's $18/nt unless you are a Pearl or higher - Used ti be when they offered Pearl status with their MGM credir card, but that's gone too. Rooms are supposedly remodeled, but they look just as bad to me. Used to come here multiple times a year, but had stopped during Covid...definitely not the same anymore..

The casino and restaurants area were very nice. The arcade on the other hand, half the machines don't work. The rooms are not what you expect from the caliber of the hotel. Having to clean pee off a toilet is not ideally how you want to enter a room.

Hotel was clean . Room key never worked for parking the rent a car at all the whole trip. Drink prices in the hotel were very expensive … no fridge in the room for a person to keep water for their stay. Shouldn’t have to rent a fridge for your room … sorry. Stayed at places 1/2 the quality and they have fridges in every room. Resort fees can disappear anytime as well. On a remote island … sure. But not in Vegas. Been goin here since 1988. Prices of entertainment and things to do are high priced for sure. Overall, had a great time with my son and his 21st birthday !
