City View, Great View
NUMBER OF ROOMS
This was our first stay at the MGM Grand and I was expecting a higher level of amenities. The absence of a coffee maker was disappointing. In addition, when I called the front desk to request a mini fridge for medical reason, I was told it was going to be an additional $35/night. I've stayed at lower end hotels and was given many more amenities.
Reviewers have not been kind to MGM saying it was worn and old...and I had a week for a conference at the MGM, I was torn to sleep at Caesar/Bellagio or take a risk at the MGM which would have been convenient to the conference, tough call. So I took a risk and stayed at the MGM. I was pleasantly surprised, I was told they did not have tubs, only showers, but when I checked in I was provided a tub, in a room, on the top floor with a fantastic view. I was a ecstatic. Room & view were perfect. Staff was amazing, shows & food are why I go. It was a perfect trip for a conference the hotel exceeded expectations. Staff were the best and very helpful. Room was spacious and had everything I needed. I will be back next year.
I won’t get into it, but like the reviews below, I extremely advise you to beware. This hotel is very run down, dirty, and frankly a rip-off for the prices they charge. We paid $300/night for a west wing room that was awful and scary. I was really expecting more from the MGM brand. I will never stay at one of their properties again.
Was in town for a very large volleyball tournament and the hotel (and surrounding hotels) were sold out. Long lines for everything but hotel staff were very hospitable and friendly even though they were so busy. Clean rooms and good food!
Went for much needed break, enjoyed our stay in the Grand Tower. Yes it is a little jaded, but location is great, staff friendly and the rooms are so quiet. Plenty to do, we still like MGM. It suits us.
