The Golden Nugget was amazing. We had stayed on the strip for the weekend and, after attending a museum in downtown Vegas, we decided to check out the renovated Golden Nugget because it had been 17 years since I had been to downtown Vegas. They did a great job with this place and we decided to extend our stay and booked a room. The price was ridiculously reasonable and the service was second to none. Everyone who works here is SOOO genuinely nice. I will absolutely be back.
Location of Casino is perfect right in the heart of Fremont St. the Nugget has so many restaurants to choose from plus the pool is awesome especially the tube running through the fish tank. So many things to see on Fremont St always entertained.
For the past two weeks have been trying to cancel an upcoming reservation and collect my deposit refund. Attempts by phone result either in being told there is a system problem, unable to leave a message, or hours-long waits through interminable ads and admonitions that "agents are currently assisting other guests". No one ever picks up, but my patience is always appreciated.. I have emailed 6 times, 3 different email addresses, from which I receive daily offers, yet have never had the courtesy of a reply. I was actually shocked to see that people have stayed at this property during the past week and some even left reasonable reviews. I am at the point of contacting my credit card company for assistance, leaving poor reviews, anything to get a response. We have stayed at this property many, many times over the past years, so are baffled as to how far they have fallen in customer service.…
My stay started out a little rough with scheduling issues but the staff at the Golden Nugget rearranged the room availability to work with my stay dates. The upgraded room was lovely with a great view of the mountains. All the staff were friendly and so helpful with any requests. Enjoyed my stay emensely.
The perfect place to stay in Vegas. Pool, food choices, casino, staff, rooms and everything else is top notch. The location on Fremont Street makes it even better. The only place I will stay in Vegas now.
All of the staff we encountered at the hotel during our stay were courteous, helpful and friendly. The room was just as described...comfortable beds, clean and items were available upon request. The pool/cabana staff were exemplary! Attended to all of our needs promptly and was very courteous as well. The valet staff was fast and courteous as well. Our entire stay was excellent! We will definitely go back and stay again...especially since it is dog friendly. We also loved that it was in downtown Las Vegas, right on Fremont Street. We got the whole Vegas experience!
From our check in to our check out, we had a fantastic stay! Every employee we encountered was very friendly and/or helpful! Thank you for the great hospitality! The Golden Nugget is always our first choice.
Prior to arrival I upgraded our room to Rush Tower after research confirming limited refrigerator availability for regular rooms. I was under the impression that I upgraded to a suite. However, upon arrival there was no fridge or coffee maker as advertised. Per their instructions I reached out to inquire about refrigerator availability. I was advised that it cost $50.00 which was very surprising because we were supposed to have a suite. When I inquired further I was advised that we only had a standard room. I didn’t move forward with the refrigerator because I wasn’t wanting to pay another $200.00. Much to my surprise, the day before check out a text went out instructing on how to request a late check out time. I requested a late check out. I did not hear back from them so today (check out day) I went to the lobby to inquire. I was advised because we had a SUITE we could not stay past 1:00 pm and would be required to pay an additional $30.00. I find it interesting that when it came to amenities and service it was only at the convenience of the resort. It was inconvenient for me to ask for a refrigerator so BOOM I was in a standard room and now it’s inconvenient for me to ask for a late check out so BOOM all of a sudden I have a suite. Not impressed and feel that this was not professionally dealt with when brought to the resorts attention so I felt compelled to leave a review.…
We stayed at the golf tower. Our bathroom was very dated, bath cracked and floor cracked. It had a lingering stench of sewage. The casino hotel ventilation was poor and I felt like I’d smoked hundreds of cigarettes. Issues with laundry not being delivered back to the room and rude bell staff when chased up. To cap it all we left our bags for the morning and again the bell desk asked for a gratuity before handing us our ticket instead of when we picked it up Across the street is the newer, cleaner, nicer circa. There’s really no competition
Our bathroom was not what we expected. We had mirror veneer peeling, paint peeling, caulk missing and moldy, rust on and in the tub and the drain was so clogged that when we got out, dried off and were partially dressed the tub finally drained. We requested room service twice and neither time received it. We were supposed to get 2 days of resort fees back and have yet to get the credit. Asked and talked to 3 people and still don’t have the refund. It was our first time here at the Golden Nugget and will be out last.
