This place need a major redo. Rooms are really dated and lacked basics provided in all hotels, e.g. Kleenex, alarm clock, coffee pot. Noise from Fremont street could be overwhelming at times. I would avoid this hotel.

On 9/21/21 at approximately 6pm, I was walking between the casino and Claim Jumper. In a split second, my right foot slid out in front of me, my body twisted around and I came down full weight on my left knee. A security guard came over to assist. It was then that we saw there was a clear liquid on the white tile floor. The security guard called for someone to clean up the spill. He stood in front of that spill, then I noticed more clear liquid on the next section of tile. I was not staying at Golden Nugget, I was staying at The D. I had entered the Golden Nugget because I saw they have a Chick-Fil-a inside. I went back to my hotel, took a hot shower and some ibuprofen. I was up the majority of the night in pain to my back, right hip and neck. I sent a message through Private Messenger on Facebook on 9/22/21. I received a response asking for my contact information. I gave my name, address, email and phone number. On 10/1/21 after not hearing anything, I sent another message in the same fashion. This time, I received an auto generated message referring me to their website. So I sent a message to their Risk Management Dept. I still heard nothing, so I wrote a letter and mailed it to Golden Nugget, Risk Mgmt Dept, 129 Fremont Street, Las Vegas, NV 89101. I also mailed a letter to their corporate office, Mr. Tilman J. Fertitta, President/CEO, 1510 West Loop S, Houston, TX 77027. Yesterday, 10/11/21, I received a phone call from Richard Smith, Risk Mgr of Golden Nugget Las Vegas, 702-385-7111. He asked what happened and I explained the whole thing to him. He said he would look into it and call me back today. This evening at 4:22pm, I received a call back from Mr. Smith as he stated he would. He advised me that he had looked at the video of my fall. He says I was not paying attention to where I was going??? Therefore, they hold no accountability for my fall. Again, the liquid on the tile floor was not MY doing....I, a senior citizen, slipped and fell to the ground on their property. I did not spill anything. I did not have any type of drink in my possession. I fell due to THEIR neglect, not MINE! Mr. Smith offered to comp me a room for a couple days the next time I'm in Vegas. In 20 years, I have been to Vegas a total of 3 times. This is of no use to me. I spent $250.00 in hotel room, amenities fees and gas. My intention was not to spend the majority of my time in my hotel room due to a fall that was not my fault. I advised Mr. Smith, I would prefer he offer to pay me back the $250.00 I wasted on a trip to Vegas....to which, he declined. And, I still haven't heard back from the Corporate Office yet. I am very thankful, my fall wasn't worse, but I'm also surprised a company as big as the Golden Nugget could care less.

We stayed in August, and what a nightmare. Our room which was non smoking, stunk of pot, we called housekeeping to come and spray it but it did not help. We went and bought our own febreeze to keep in the room. There was so much black under the rim of the toilet bowl we know housekeeping did not touch it for weeks! The towels which we thought were clean smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, so they were not changed. Every time you touched the toilet handle your hands smelled of pot. We knew absolutely this room was absolutely not cleaned. Add in the elevator noise every 20 seconds it was the worst trip ever. Then I called the day after we got home because I wondered if I left my sunglasses in the room, the housekeeping supervisor said oh we didn’t clean that room yet. 🤢. Brings everything into perspective., just terrible work ethics.

Booked the spa suite for my husbands 40th birthday. I arranged for a birthday celebration package to be in the room upon arrival. Received a confirmation email, and thought I was good to go. Apparently they canceled it on me due to booking with a 3rd party. Understandable, but next time let people know they aren’t getting what they planned on. Some sort of cancellation email would’ve been nice. Also the room was dirty. The bar was sticky, the coffee table was nothing but dinged up end tables. Everywhere was dusty. The ice maker in the fridge was full of mold. The glass was all dirty behind the bar. Very disappointing for the price of the room.

Had a party of 18 that was planned 6+ months in advance and the nugget kind of screwed us by putting us on different floors, even a couple in a different tower. Also, frontier screwed me by giving me the wrong info causing me to miss my flight which resulted in a 12hr flight w a 4hr layover and purchase unnecessary carry on baggage slips. But as far as freemont, the strip, etc. WE HAD A BLAST!
