Bed was so soft & pillows were so big and fluffy, the water was real hot bathroom was clean 😌 room was clean , front desk ladywas real nice Great customer service, they even came and helped me with the tv before my lover got there, did I say the water in the shower gets hot as you know what 🥰 who don’t love a hot shower
Room was clean and tidy with friendly attendants. Casino and bars areas were amazing. Would recommend to family and friends. Pool was one of a kind and was what made us choose this casino resort. Loved all the restaurants and especially Chick Fil A.
This was our first time staying downtown and we were impressed with the Golden Nugget. All staff were friendly and helpful. The casino floor was hopping especially at night. Have the usual complaints of the casino being smoky, but it was to be expected. Pool was lovely as were the restaurants we visited. Would definitely come back. Stayed in the Gold Tower and the beds and pillows were very comfortable . Can't wait to return.
Everything was really nice.It would be nice to have a small lounge with coffee and be able to sit and relax or wait for your transportation after you check out it would be nicer then standing outside.Possibly a place to put your luggage after you check out so you can walk around without it and gamble before you leave.
Got there at 11 AM systems were down (they say) so we could not do early check in which we did pay for. Went back every hour to see if they were up. Finally at 2 PM they said that the system will be back up at 3 PM (normal check in time). So I just stood there because at 3 PM I knew the line would be crazy. At 3 PM the line was outrageous and people extremely up set. It took one could who was at the end of the line 2 hours to get to check in. As for us, we had to argue with management for 30 minutes to get our money back for paying for early check in.
This is my favorite hotel on freemont street. Hotel, casino, and customer service are always great. I love the pool area. The rooms are affordable and always nice and clean. I have stayed at many places in Vegas but this is my favorite.
Stayed at the golden Nugget August 22, first time there and first time staying downtown. The experience was very pleasant. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was amazing and staff if very friendly. Check in line can get quite long, but went pretty fast. Downtown is loud and a party atmosphere but didn’t both us. Would definitely stay here in the future.
I have been too a lot of hotels and this is by far the worst experience and I work at a hotel!!! The check in process was horrific!! They have about 10 kiosk and none of them worked. The workers had no care in the world! I never write reviews but this was insane.
The good; Check in was quick and efficient. The person doing the check in was welcoming and helpful. Our room was large and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The not so good; The smell that hit us as we walked from Taxi drop off and into the Carson lobby was horrible. I don't know if there was a sewer issue or what but it did not set a good tone for the hotel. The room had a very small window overlooking other rooftops. No big deal there for us but if you're expecting a view, this probably isn't the place for you. There were plenty of hangers in the closet. Unfortunately, the closet door did not stay open unless you put something next to it. There were no power plugs next to the bed and only a couple in the room as a whole. The room decor is dark, worn and outdated. The bathroom is horribly laid out. The door cannot be opened or closed while you are standing in front of the sink. This is definitely not a two person bathroom. The step to get into the shower is high and awkward and you cannot be turned on without being in it. This wouldn't be too much of an issue except the water comes out HOT. There was great water pressure but being hit with hot water so quickly was a bit startling. The mirror above the sink has a TV smack dab in the middle of it. It made zero sense (there was no remote for the TV that I saw but it's not something I would use so I didn't look too hard). The ONE tiny trash bin is in the bathroom. You get one. That's it. When we checked in, we asked for daily service for our room. I watched as the reception person put the information into the system. We did not get service the first day so we called guest services the second morning to request it. The "guest service" person was rude, telling us we needed to give them 24 hour notice to have the room cleaned. We informed her that we did give that notice. She was not happy with that news and hung up on us. Lovely. I had the displeasure of dealing with a different guest service person when I called to see if The Hideout was open. She rudely told me that the only way to get in was a reservation 24 hours in advance and there was nothing she could do for me. The best: the maid that came to clean the room was amazing and friendly, the guard at the pool was also very friendly when I checked with him about the hideout although I did not end up at the pool. …
Overall pleasant and comfortable rooms and service. Room was very spacious and clean and housekeeping was quick with all requests. Have stayed numerous times and each time gets better and better. Will definitely stay again
