THE STAY FROM HELL. My husband and I came back to our hotel room in the morning to find our whole room(along with a few other rooms on the same floor) flooded with SEWER water. Pieces of human feces and toilet paper coating all of mine and my husbands clothes, shoes, bags and all over the bathroom and floor in complete slush. My clothes that were in a drawer a foot off the ground and stuff that was in the closet were soaking too. Barely any help from the staff to get all of our stuff transferred to our new room and not providing us with any type of sanitary gloves or wipes to help with our belongings. They transferred us to a suite for one night. Although that was nice, we did not ask for that and they treated us like we were supposed to be okay with the amount of disrespect the staff put us through. With the exception of the one manager Julie she was amazing she got all of your clothes straight to the cleaners and did sympathize but she could only do so much at that time. The second manager i dealt with after Julie literally told me "they will not reimburse me for the belongings that could not be dry cleaned because they have accommodated us enough and that our belongings don't nearly add up to what they already spent taking care of our room". There is a lot more to the story but this is the most important part, hours after we were out of the room, the room got filled with other guest. There is no way the room could have been sanitized enough in that short period of time to make it a healthy environment for those people. Do yourself a favor and never stay at The D. If they did this to us and put new guest in a contaminated room what stops them from doing it to you. I provided pictures of the flood.

The inside bar, the outside bar, the upstairs casino featuring the old gambling machines... so much to love!! They also offer a variety of fun drink glasses to help you celebrate whatever occasion. Highly recommend a stop at the D.

Check in went pretty well. I asked for an upgrade to a smoking room, was informed I made reservations for non-smoking and that was that was the end of the conversation. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. It's a typical Vegas hotel where you have to leave the room and buy coffee. But I expected that. The bell hops and valet were quick and friendly. I asked for two more towels and washcloths and received them very fast. The Casino was good, had a variety of machines

I want to commend Oscar Lopez the manager of the D. We had a small problem that Oscar Lopez corrected quickly and politely. The D is a clean hotel with good service. The staff is polite and many entertainment and food options are available. Already booked for Dec.

We were given a 3 nights stay at the D hotel. When we got there at 12:30 am we were shifted to the Golden Gate Hotel. We were told that our stay was at the D but that was not the case. The D had no car or shuttle to take us to the Golden Gate so we had to walk with our luggage to the other end of downtown at 1:15 am. When we got to the Golden Gate we were checked in and went up to our room. The door would not even open all the way because of the bed being too long in this dungeon of a room. No windows, step up to the toilet, knees scraped the wall when you went to the bathroom, and the shower was so small and ancient you hated to take a shower. We checked out in the morning giving up free rooms to change to the Westgate on the strip. Free to stay in a dungeon is not worth it when you are looking for a nice time on your vacation. From 0 to 10 the Golden Gate is a minus 0. i go to vegas once a month and I thought it might be nice to stay downtown but man I was wrong. I do not encourage anyone to stay at the Golden Gate nor the D very poor customer service.
