This was our second stay at the D hotel. The room was quite nice, the casino is pretty good(except they took and kept my money lol) and check in and check out were smooth and didn’t take too long. The only thing I find weird...More
Our room was very, very clean and comfortable! We've stayed at various hotels both on the strip and on Fremont Street, and this is the only one we'll choose again! The maid service was perfect; we never, even once, had to ask for anything.....a Vegas...More

I just returned from Las Vegas where we stayed at The D, the staff was friendly and helpful. depending on what floor you are on it can be noisy with the music on Freemont street but the higher floors not so much. We were upgraded...More
I really don't have much good to say about The D other than how friendly the front desk clerk was when we checked-in and the condition/cleanliness of the room. The noise level at this place, even up on the 32nd floor, was to the point...More
Upgraded our room to the king suite. Very high quality and no odor. We were not sure about staying downtown but glad we did. Didn’t move our car for 3 days out of free parking ramp for hotel guests. The shower was walk in and...More

These are the pros and cons of the strip or downtown . First of all I/we have stayed at both locations many times . Downtown pros: easy access to entertainment to include Freemont street experience , bands on several stages , musicians , magicians , kiosk vendors , zip line rides , casinos are easy walking distance . Cons : some homeless people , not for a family with young children especially at night . Strip pros : newer casino resorts , many shows , specialty and theme restaurants , several dance nightclubs. Cons: distance between casinos far ( walk or take a tram ) , long lines for events . Personally I/we enjoy downtown ( even though is not as flashy as the strip ) because of the great entertainment just right outside your door without the hassle of walking a 1/4 mile or more to get to another location . I recommend the Golden Nugget casino resort for downtown or New York New York on the strip ( centrally located ) . You can always take the city transportation (day pass ) to visit the strip or downtown. Enjoy your stay.
