Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Rio Hotel & Casino often leaves guests feeling shortchanged due to hidden fees and overpriced amenities. Many reviewers lament the outdated condition of the hotel, from the amenities and pool to the rooms that are criticized for being unkempt and noisy. The location receives mixed reviews, with some finding it convenient while others are disappointed. Service issues such as long check-in times and unresponsive staff further detract from the experience, and while some rooms are praised for cleanliness, the call for renovations is a common theme.

The good news is the staff has a better attitude. Prior to the new ownership, the management did not care and did not do anything unless there was a liability. The facility is still old and under repair yet the room rates are climbing. It's next to railroad tracks and that won't change anytime soon.

We had a very large, clean room with a view of the pools. We couldn’t have asked for anything more out of our quick overnight stay than the great night of sleep we got in our large & quiet room. Would stay here again.

The Rio surprised us pleasantly. The room was HUGE! Cable was included, rare in other Vegas hotels. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. The view was great of the Strip. The room was very clean and we always had hot water. There was a dressing area and stage lights by the bathroom that were perfect. There was a mini fridge for our wine. We were always able to get seats at the bar and drinks. Check in was a little tedious and felt longer than it was....maybe a half an hour. They were busy. At least a pleasant young man brought us all bottles of water. The ice machine was close to the room and so were vending machines. The elevators were fast and worked well. We really enjoyed the WOW show. I really have no complaints. The bus is right in front on Flamingo and costs $2.00 a person each way or $5.00 for the day. A cab was $11.00. We also walked the 3/4 of a mile to the Strip, easy enough by day and sober. I would recommend a cab if you are returning at night. Overall a good value and better than expected. We also had good chicken wings and onion rings in the restaraunt right by check-in...Pho soup was also good.

The worst hotel in Las Vegas, Poor costumer service (Diana, Shawn, and the “managers”) they don’t know what’s costumer service about. I request a specific room and they literally said that I can’t expect the quality that they show in the website because the pictures are 15 year’s ago (said by Diana) they can give you a room but that room can be janitors room. The furniture is old, the bed sounds more than my dogs, even the felling have steps in there. Horrible experience

I go here every year for the pool tournament and every year the checkin process is a nightmare. The kiosks never work. So everyone must stand in a long line to checkin. Because of this same problem, EVERY YEAR, I would never stay here if I was not attending the pool tournament.

We had a great one-night stay at the Rio. It's being upgraded and we stayed in an upgraded room which was fabulous. The pool is being worked on and is going to be quite the part once finished. We will definitely be back to stay and try the Korean BBQ restaurant. Thank you!

This was the nastiest room I’ve ever seen and I have traveled all over the world. They shouldn’t even be allowed to sell this room in its condition. I think every call girl in Las Vegas has visited that room.

Our stay was amazingly good. The room was clean and well-kept. The staff was nice and welcoming. The renovations are spectacular, and the new options for food are conveniently located within the hotel. We don't have to leave to get something to eat fast, plus they have good dining restaurants, we have more options now!
