Staying here for a night was my worst travel experience. After checking in, it took about an hour and a half to even get in our room with key issues and the door not working. Ultimately, they gave us a discount. But just don’t come here in the first place. Lots of other people had a lot of issues as well, and the check in/out quick process doesn’t work. Also, only half the elevators work.

The worst hotel room and customer service experience with the manager on duty. Paid for early checkin and given a totally unacceptable room that was just plain gross and then refused by the manager on duty to be moved to an appropriate room because “nothing was available” AT 10AM in the morning such a scam!

Skip the Rio. I was charged $17 to check in an hour early. An hour, can you believe it?. I payed it because we had to meet friends before the hockey game we were attending. They were so money hungry for the early check-in penalty charge. There wasn't even a maids cart in the hallway at all on our floor. Shame on the Rio. Never stay there again because of it.

We landed and came straight to the hotel. Tried to check in at the kiosk and we were told our room wasn’t ready at 9:45 pm. That wasn’t going to work so we waited in line. Checked in fine with the person. We went to our room, neither key worked. Back to the lobby we go. Waited in line again, then decided to see if kiosk worked. I waited while husband printed two keys at kiosk. I went to room to try new kiosk key. It worked. I texted husband who was still waiting in line. Got to room - safe is locked and won’t open. They will send someone but we have to be here and they can’t give us an estimate of how long it will be. There is toilet paper hanging from vent in bathroom. Do they check and clean the rooms between people. It’s just gross. This is just the first hour. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the weekend has for us.
