The pictures are old pictures and not up to date with the property. Furniture is old scratched, beat up, mattress and pillows no cushion to them, bathroom sink kept stopping up and toilet you have to flush over and over again not enough water comes up. Found old eyelashes w/tweezers on floor. You can hear people above you walking around, if they drop the smallest thing. The view was the garbage dump. This was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in here. I will NEVER stay here again. They charge one thing on the phone and when you get there it’s a different price. Be VERY careful.
Worst place to have a party. I called and inquired how many guests I can invite and the receptionist I talked to said 13-25 people and I asked if 30 people is okay and they said it's totally fine. Note we had less than 20 people in the room. a few hours i checked in they tried kicking out everyone except me who is the birthday girl. A birthday girl alone at a 5,200 square foot penthouse suite?? The guests sleeping was supposed to be (4) but they wanted to kick the other 3 people on the list. I spent $800+ for room and $1000+ for food and drinks and they kicked everyone out. The receptionist also said we can't have underaged people when everyone was 25+ years old. They didn't even check anyones ID. Just because we were mostly all Asian doesn't mean they can just assume. I don't want to put the racism card but we can not help but notice the difference of treatment. we saw other rooms having 10+ groups going in and out of the suites and no problem?? They used the covid card on us but they said 30 guests was ok???? When we talked to one of the managers in person, they said the max guests is 6 people. That contradicts to what they said as they mentioned 13-25 guests was possible. Very disappointed and upset that i was told one thing and then this happened. This should've been handled better, if we knew their max was 6 guests then we wouldn't have booked their penthouse suite. We spent $$$$ and my guests were kicked out at 11pm while other suites were still partying as it is Vegas on a weekend. PS: we didn't complain about this but as soon as when we checked in the suite, we noticed that the room smelled like puke and had a lot of red and black stains all over the room. Also burnt marks from smoking. The tables also had sticky contents and we had to wipe it off. Never coming back and definitely do not recommend.…
Really. I have never posted for good and bad stays. But I want all warned. Do not stay at the rio. Bad customer service. Dirty rooms. Looked for 1 hr to find parking spot. 1 elevator from parking garage working. On and on......
I'm a local Las Vegas resident, since the pandemic some friends and I wanted to support properties on the strip and do a stay cation and we chose the Rio big mistake. 1st when booking the room we shared info with the representative and we were trying to be on the same floor, was told I booked on the same floor, check in that was a lie I was booked on a totally different floor. Room was old and outdated, but I tried to make the best of it. Booked this back in March 2021 paid deposit and whatever fee was charged to hold the room, received confirmation email for total price including deposit paid...went to the desk to check out (checked out 3 hours early) received receipt for payment when checking out, charged my credit card additional $45 which did not match the receipt. All I'm saying is be careful with this hotel and watch your statement. I personally would never stay there again …
I live in Las Vegas, had a guest coming in, wanted to bring him to what use to be one of the best hotel and resort in Las Vegas. I set it up for check in on the 15th of April, I asked FIVE times if the pool was going to be open and the hours. I was told YES the pool was open (I would have never stayed if the pool was not open and IT WASNT) I paid for EARLY check in so we could utilize the pool. Then was told we could go over to the Flamingo to use there pool because it was open on Thursday and all we had to do was show our Rio room key. So we went to the Flamingo and they would not let us in the pool and had no clue what I was talking about. So we left there and returned to the Rio with the entire day RUINED. It was now already 4pm. Now BEFORE I checked in, was told check out was noon. So Friday we got up and went down to the pool at 10am. For some reason I called front desk to verify check out, she said, its 11am, its noon back east and you are in Vegas. Beyond rude. was at pool for 10mins we went to room packed and left. And there was a problem with the room we had to switch. To much aggravation …
