the room was fine overall, the lamp shades were broken and the fridge missing some parts...however, HOUSEKEEPING did not come daily to clean and replenish our room and toiletries...I had to call daily, and the person said we had to request housekeeping each day....however, our friends across the hall had daily housekeeping and they never had to call and request it. So it was annoying to run out of towels, etc. and had to call at night when we returned and I'm sure the housekeeping staff mostly cleans during the day time.

Out-dated decor. No shuttle to the strip. Bed was comfortable, but pillows were small and they "ran out". Room was large and included fridge, that was nice, but room temperature never got cool enough. Housekeeping staff was very friendly. Shame the Carnival buffet is gone, even worse that the signs were all still there. Had a major issue while we were there....window washers were washing at 4:30am the first night, and yelling to each other while they worked that woke us up. The next morning they did the same thing at 6:00am that kept us awake. Really unhappy with that issue, but front desk was sympathetic. Convention center is giant and very nice, very convenient for hotel guests. Plenty of tables and slots, few bars, comfortable sportsbook. Having Hash House inside is a major positive.

The worst check In experience. Ever. It turns out that “Check in” on line is meaningless, which was performed before arrival. The kiosks kept breaking down failing to produce a check in key. (An attempt was made to access another set of kiosks which revealed a message that I could not check in because my room was not ready, and wait for an email. No email came—there were, in fact, no more single rooms available!)The only alternative was to wait in line for hours, forcing exposure to cigarette smoke from adjacent casino area. I became ill, missing out on events for next two days, including my birthday. No apology was offered when I insisted I could no longer wait in line, due to health reasons. Do NOT stay at this hotel (at least until new management takes over)

Run down in pretty much every way, especially the pool area, paid extra to check in early so we could sit by the pool but only stayed 45min, it looked like the remains of a nuclear holocaust with no options for shade, limited chairs strewn about

Literally smells like sewage which apparently has been a problem for years. No coffee machine or microwave. Charged for an upgrade we didn't request. Old and dark. Hot water broken one day. Elevators broken most of the time.

Zero amenities in the room. The room itself was in complete disrepair and dilapidated. The Rio uses offsite customer service—even when you’re in their hotel, so there was no way to call housekeeping, or the front desk. Forget about any reliable customer service in the hotel itself. Unfortunately, I was forced to call customer service several times. I could not understand the person who answered my call, nor could that person understand me. The Rio’s customer service is TERRIBLE. They don’t have any way to manage one’s reservations online. Dealing with Rio customer service is an aggravating experience.

The Hotel needs renovation badly but the service there was excellent! Very old room, worn out carpet. Comfortable bed and pillows. Took a very long time to have my baggage brought to my room. Probably won't stay again.

It was hard to believe just how run down this property is and poorly managed. The tip off should have been the trash piled up in the entry drive way in. I will say that our first valet was very friendly. From there everything dropped off. It was nearly 45 minutes to get through the check in line. The reason we stayed was to get adjoining rooms. They couldn’t accommodate that. Every piece of furniture in the room was either stained, broken or damaged in some way. We tried for 2 days with several calls to housekeeping and the front desk to get a blow dryer in our room. They said the were “out of blow dryers” yet some manager, just to get me to leave the front desk, said they weren’t and one would be sent up. I waited until 1am, with wet hair- no dryer. The pool area is run down, most of the chaise lounges are ripped and broken. There’s no services there, you have to walk to get drinks. The valet would randomly “close” and you had to self park which is a hike to the towers. The only late night food was a horrible take-out at the sports book and my kid said the school pizza is better than theirs. Oh, and they use “all in one” shampoo so, bring your own conditioner, because your hair will be tangled AND wet due to the blow dryer shortage of 2023! The manager told me the property is no longer part of Caesars and is “in transition”. Do not stay here!

This is a hotel with problems. Recent renovation seems…hidden? Room decor circa 1985, with a carpet to match. Checked in early online to find no kiosks working at midnight arrival; and an hour long check in line with three staff. Arrived in bare bones room; three pillows on a king size bed for 2, no coffee/tea/water/minibar, two bars of soap and one small shampoo. Discovered another guests open wet wipes container and lighter under the “sofa,” which housekeeping promptly removed. Went to iron a shirt and a cockroach fell out of the iron. The hotel wheezes and wines like it’s dying. Elevators broke down and long lines appeared starting at noon. Room service and housekeeping communication are through a robotic app, so no way to complain about an hour and 10 minute wait for room service ($12.99 for delivery) from the All American Bar and Grille. The hotel is full of non guests getting up to the guest floors and leaving things in the hallways and defacing the elevator. Stayed here for a convention: if I go to the convention again I would rather walk 20 minutes from the strip in blazing heat than stay at this “resort.” Stay anywhere else, even off the strip, you may actually have a pleasant time.

Literally the second worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Dirty windows, broken furniture, torn wallpaper and stained carpet. The manager confessed they are selling the hotel and weren't putting money in it. But instead of treating me with respect and finding me a room I originally paid for, all I got was broken promises, arguments, and a food credit. Leaving ASAP.
