Stayed on the 37th floor. Only two of the four elevators were functioning causing LONG wait times and long lines just to use elevator. Room was filthy, dusty tables and non functioning fridge. Clean towels???? Had long black hair on them from someone else. DISGUSTING. Will never stay here again
The room was nice but way too expensive. I had my dog with me so we got a pet friendly room. When you first got out of the elevator the smell of urine was super strong and you could smell it down the hall. That was a big turn off. But the room was nice and big. Not sure I would stay there again since I travel with my dog everywhere.
We were very disappointed with the conditions of the room. Smell of smoking still exist in the room. We were told all rooms are non smoking but the smell and burn marks on the couch indicates a different picture. The headboard was so worn that when she leaned on it, it resulted in my wife's hair getting stuck to it. Room needs to be painted. No facial towels or hand towels were in the room. When we asked for some, we were told they don't have any. Later that evening when we complained again, we received 7 facial towels. They also promised to come spray the room to correct the smell but that didn't happen.I don't appreciate staff lying to me which they did several times that evening. I GAVE THE PLACE A POOR MARK BECAUSE OF THE HELP WE FINALLY RECEIVED AFTER THREE ATTEMPTS TO CORECT THINGS RESULTED IN A MEAL TICKET FOR OUR TROUBLE. Not the experience we expected.…
Horrible from the beginning. The club voodoo has been closes since 2019, but the hotel advertised this club still to this day on the hotel websites. 2 hour's to check into my room. My room was broken into and over $1000 worth of stuff taken. The manager appeared not to care!!!!! Horrible Horrible Horrible
We saw a P&T on August 11th at the Rio the show was fantastic and the only area where the Casinos air conditioning was working. The Casino was dark and depressing, and the air conditioning wasn't working throughout the Casino floor we were sweating just waiting around to see the show. On the Casino floor we saw homeless people and drugged out crackheads, it felt like you could be mugged just walking around this hellhole. Everything was mostly closed, the smell was absolutely disgusting smoke and pee the decor is is old and gross looking, we wanted to play table games but we're worried about the type of people playing so opted out. When the show was over we literally ran out to get a cab and head back to our 5 star hotel on the strip. To top off I ended up getting food poisoning from Pho Da Nang Vietnamese Kitchen (Pho chicken soup) I had for dinner before the show I was sick for over 11 hours, reported to Nevada Health dept which this place has had multiple violations absolutely disgusting. The Rio Casino needs to be demolished and built from the ground up this place is next level hell on earth (the reviews clearly display this fact)…
Our room was dated, dirty, and clearly overlooked when it comes to repairs. Wallpaper peeling, stained carpets, missing leg on the fridge (which smelt like mildew), the replacement handle to the safe in our room was a command hook. Rooms were never refreshed (we stayed 5 nights), had to hunt down a housekeeper for fresh towels. Water is randomly shut off to certain rooms, without any warning or heads up. Thursday, Aug 11- around 11:30 AM, our water was randomly shut off. I was in the middle of getting ready, and had to wash my hands in the ice bucket just so I could put in contacts- and call the damn desk! There was NO EXPLANATION, NO APOLOGIES. This same Thursday night, our hotel room windows LEAKED WATER from the rainstorm. We sat in line for over 45 minutes to speak with someone in person. They had three employees to assist the 40 people in line waiting. Ended up going back to our room, and having to call and complain there. I spoke with the front desk, filed a complaint, and left my phone number so that a manager or supervisor could get more details about the situation. THEY NEVER CALLED. I was so absolutely disgusted to learn that they were only willing to take off two days worth of resort fees for the massive inconvenience of having water be shut off, AND staying in a building that is not structurally equipt to handle weather. They gave me a phone number, saying that if I want the entirety of the resort fees removed it's up to ME to call guest services and rectify this issue? WHAT! Customers that spend hundreds of dollars should NEVER be in charge of fixing issues they did not cause. SO ANGRY. No free shuttle, every resturant they have is closed down, pool is advertised to have 4 pools but the best one was closed for maintenence, expensive drinks, poor cleanliness, poor customer service- not to mention the overall expensive price for an extremely mediocre stay. The only employee we felt went above and beyond was Warren at the Bell desk. He was very informative and helpful in any way he could be. He was the ONLY employee, in fact, to treat us as valued customers. The Rio Front Desk gave no apologies or explanation, and made no effort to fix our issues. Do yourself a favor, find somewhere else!…
Room has old carpet dingy with tears in it. Also, what hotel doesnt have usb ports to charge your phone? flat screen tv is old as well due to no usb ports on back of it as well. also, no do not disturb signs to hang on door, didnt want anyone coming in. also, even though i know its standard for the industry but how do you charge a resort fee and there is nothing resortish about this place
We've stayed at multiple places in Vegas over the years, but the Rio seems to be the best value for the money. Is it super fancy? No. But the rooms are quite spacious and maintained pretty well. The shower pressure is absolutely amazing and I don't have any major complaints. My only complaint is that you shouldn't be able to charge resort fees if you provide your guests with gas station quality toilet paper...start springing for 2-ply please.
The room was dirty, bed sheets had a huge stain in it, found dirty gloves thrown on the floor, toilet paper from previous guests. No microwave, no mini coffee pot, over priced sports deli. No discounts for their inconvenience either
This is a terrible hotel with poor service, poorly maintained facilities (especially guest rooms), outdated offering, and horrible ambiance. Do not ever stay here. I walked into my room and the condition was so terrible that I had to move out and find another hotel. There are so many better options and stay away from Rio.
