We learned upon arrival that this is a party place, with a huge outdoor area dedicated to games and loud music. No big deal, our room was located on the other side of the property so our earplugs worked just fine. However, if you're looking for a quiet getaway, this isn't it.

Dear Faithleahmarie, First of all, Happy Birthday! Thank you for choosing to celebrate it at Oasis at Gold Spike! We are currently fixing our elevators and it should be working properly by the next time you come visit us. We suggest that you book a room on the poolside area this time. Normally, we only have music playing in our backyard, Thursday through Saturday evening and so if you are coming during the week, it is quiet at the Gold Spike tower. We really appreciate your feedback, thank you for taking the time to leave us one.

You will be lucky if you can even check in. Had hotel reservation waited around to 3 p.m. was a line around the block . When tried to check in tried the old bait and switch . Our rooms got cancelled but can put you in hotel next door that looks like a dive. Stay away from this place.

From the hotel’s website: “Cancellation Policy: Cancel by 3 PM local hotel time at least 2 days prior to arrival to avoid a 1 night(s) cancel penalty charge” I would guess that if you change your plans once you check in, the same rule of 2 days applies, but I might contact them directly to make sure. Hope this helps!
