Overall experience was very good. Staff were very kind and attentive. Special mention to ladies working at club desk and at showroom. We came for Sheena Easton's performances at showroom. It was well worth of travelling 6000 miles from Finland too see such a world class talent, vocalist and pop legend like Ms. Easton. We felt well taken care of during our 8 night stay. Hotel is super clean and has very good security. I highly recommend if you want to stay away from the Strip.

Hotel's Favorite
I have started staying at this hotel due to a group who has a residency on site. Have to say when priced right, this hotel is a gem. Complimentary airport shuttle if needed, large and very comfortable rooms. Amenities including multiple restaurants that won't break the bank. Affordable gift shop for water etc. Movie theater is great too. Love the Keurigs in the room and having a mini refrigerator. Room service at this hotel is still as room service is to be. Most on the strip have it only packaged to go. 24 hour Cafe. Some cafes in other hotels only open till 3:00 pm. Staff is so friendly and welcoming. Very popular hotel when Nascar, Rodeo, or Bingo come to town. Sells out often. Rates can go up . Highly recommend this hotel. For me, when I stay to see my favorite group, I have to stay put. Ride share to/from the strip can get too costly for me and I am solo and don't have a car when on property. But between the movie theater, bowling alley, etc there is plenty to do - or even just relaxing in the room. Thank you South Point. My next visit might be June. Contemplating. Might be spending a milestone birthday time frame with you.

The Hotel/Casino is of course on the Las Vegas Boulevard but don’t let the distance to the Strip fool you: it is 15-20 minutes by car but for is that is not a problem. Very nice hotel, good rooms , most of them with fridge , clean bathroom and reasonable pool area, nothing special. Casino with lot of buzz, always busy, wide variaty of slots , old and new. Foodies will be pleased with more than enough different restaurants AND still the Garden Buffet for breakfast, bruch and dinner . And don’t forget the Arena with lots of ( horse-) events, always free of charge. For is the Orleans hotel/casino was the best off strip stay fot the past 15 years but we switched to South Point this hear.

AMBIENCE: Large crowds with several venues for everyone. RESTAURANTS: Large selection with acclaimed buffet. Steak N Shake and 24 hour Starbucks as well. GAMING: Plenty of slots, tables and video keno machines to choose from. ROOMS: Nice, clean and well-appointed. Keurig coffee makers, safe, and refrigerator in rooms. LOCATION: South Strip, away from the madness. SERVICE: Overall, friendly and accommodating staff. OVERALL: BEST choice for location NOW. Casino is tight and Payouts rare. However, only my 2nd visit. To be continued...

If you like slots, this is NOT your casino. The worst selection…. I even asked to see if I was missing something. Nope. And even though I didn’t like them, I still through my money at them…. Bad choice for day one. But it’ll save me the next two nights, because I won’t be gambling unless I can grab a seat at Pai -gow. 1* I’ve dined at Michael’s- expensive and top notch- my group won’t spend that kind of money- so won’t be enjoying that. 5* Rooms are fabulous! A little warm for me, although I dropped the temp, they must have it on auto as I woke up and room is hot again. But one of the nicest rooms- lots of room (I have a king single- normally I’ll get double queens just to have the extra room…not necessary). and a great bathroom! 5* Bell desk is adamant that they won’t drag our bowling balls up to the lanes- if I’m willing to give them $20, they should be. They’ll drag them to my rooms, so I see no difference- 3* Still here…. Maybe dinner will be wonderful…. But, I’d I’m not going ti Michael’s, I doubt it.

South Point is a good local casino. They have an enormous amount of slot machines and a very good staff. This was my first visit, so I signed up for a players card. They have nothing for new players, which is rare. Overall, this was a good experience.

Hotel is like a city made of restaurants and entertainment. Plenty of room to roam. The room was beautiful and cleaned by housekeeping each day. The convention I attended was in a vast area with several meeting rooms. Lunch was served on this floor as well. No complaints about the food and the service. One negative note, my view from the 7th floor was a brick wall.. Very disappointing. Also, I have a suggestion for management - Please look in the bathroom on the wall between the shower and the toilet; it is a perfect place to put a hook to hang the bath towel.

Vegas local from across the city. I like playing South point because I usually do pretty well there and if I lose I don't mind losing it to southpoint. Plus it was my birthday. I play in the middle of the night when it's less crowded. Every once in a while I'll go out and lay in my truck get a power nap and come back and play again so I don't have to drive 40 minutes back across the city. Last night security treated me like a homeless thug as I took a little power nap in my truck. They beat on my windows with what sounded like a nightstick and started yelling at me like a little man, tough guy, power trip that I couldn't sleep there. All they had to do was ask what I was doing but they wanted to be wanna be cops. I didn't argue with them, started up my truck and drove home. I will never Gamble at southpoint ever again nor will I ever spend my money on the movies or building or a show which I frequently do. I am a grain of sand to them put a grain has a dollar sign to it that they have lost mine.

Strip buses are great also. south point casino is my place to have fun. You don’t really need to leave. great staff as well. young people come here as well. south point arena a big plus in my book,

While I was there several conventions and events were taking place including the National Bowling Association and the Nevada High School Rodeo Finals.
