My wife and I are in our 50's and we stayed for a long weekend. We had an easy check-in but arrived early and chose to pay the $20 for the early check-in fee. We stayed on the 24th floor and had a view of the mountains. Our room was large enough with vinyl flooring which we believe is much better than carpet. We ate at the Marketplace buffet for breakfast on Friday and Monday and if you become a Club member you get the buffet for 15 which is well worth the money. The food at the buffet was really good. We also ate at the Mexican restaurant for lunch and although the food was just ok the price was very good and it included a Margarita with the price - very tasty. We had dinner at Primarily Prime Rib and it was very good for the price. For $24 we got a 10oz slab with mashed potatoes and choice of soup or salad. The house wine was very good as well. There is also a McDonalds, Denny's and few other restaurants across the street as well The slots were a little tight according to my wife. I played roulette most of the time and the wait staff came around quite regularly while playing. All in all we were not disappointed in our stay and quite enjoyed South Point.

Excellent hotel. Top quality and clean. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Everything from check in to leaving was pleasurable. With 11 restaurants, a bowling alley and multiple entertainment options, it’s a city in a city. No need for the strip when you can stay where everything is within one building.

Check in was easy but not much information was given about the hotel. We had to find someone in Bell service. Our room ended up being on the 2nd floor at the very end of the hall. Our view was an alley. The alarm clock was broken. Hot water was coming out of the cold faucet in the bathroom. Shower was crazy spraying water everywhere and hard to keep the temperature consistent. We did have good experiences at the Silverado Steakhouse and the Asian restaurant. The pool area was closed. Would have been nice to know this before booking. The gift shop was very nice with good prices. Don't think I would stay here again

Stayed here for the first time last week. So glad we stayed here than our other options. The location is off of the strip, but yet not far at all if you want to visit the strip. The strip was fun to drive down at night, but it wasn't anything like I've always heard. There really isn't any reason the leave South Point. They have pretty much everything. Plenty of places to eat, the bowling center, movie theater, show room, arcade and of course the casino. We are a family of four with two teenagers. We all enjoyed ourselves. The room was nice and clean. Large bathroom, great comfortable beds with nice pillows. We all slept very well. Nice view of the pool area. The only downside was the doors to the closet and bathroom were hard to open and close. Not that big of a deal. We felt safe while inside. Staff was very friendly. Long line at the cafe during after hours, but that's to be expected. The Starbucks was a nice bonus. We wouldn't mind staying here again if we are ever back to Las Vegas.

Whenever in Las Vegas I always visit the South Point Casino, a very friendly and enjoyable experiences. Unfortunately they are one of the casinos in Las Vegas that do not implement the IRS Tax Exemption Treaty for Foreign visitors when winning over $1200 on slot machines. On my recent visit I was fortunate to win at two MGM casinos and they provided me with the documentation that allowed them to pay me the full winnings without withholding tax as stipulated under the Tax Treaty. Unfortunately when winning at South Point, they stopped me 30% which will now require me to send tax forms to the USA and reclaim the winnings. A headache for me and I am sure the IRS. So my advice is, if you are a foreign national, only gamble at places like MGM resorts, South Point is not the place to gamble and win if you want to keep all your money and have a good experience gambling.

First time staying a night here. Visited several times, never spent the night. Resort has plenty to offer all ages, although I don't like seeing babies in strollers in the casino part. Too smokey and just isn't right! IMO. Resort is HUGE. Be prepared to walk. Upon entry, the room was bigger than expected. VERY clean and inviting! Beds were amazingly comfortable, pillows too. Large bathroom, plenty of closet space and a fridge you can use without fees. Resort charges a small daily fee for Wifi and some amenities. Parking was free, plenty of space too. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Buffet offers many kinds of foods, even for the fussy. Depending on when you go, at some times it could be very busy at any of the restaurants. Pool was average, nothing to brag about, but seemed clean and tidy. Towels offered at the pool to use. Resort offered so much! We didn't get to experience the Spa, but it sounded amazing. The arena is always busy with an event. The time we were there was the rodeo. Fun to be had by all. Far enough away from the lights of Las Vegas strip, close enough to Uber for $20 or so. Lots of shopping near by, more comfortable and reasonable pricing too. Will return one day!

We stayed next door at the Grandview so we were here everyday. Great prices on drinks and food and reasonable tables and slots. They hold a lot of sports events in the bars to draw people in. We ate at a few places and the food was also good. The gift shop actually has amazing prices on beer and wine. We didnt use the bowling or movie theatre but did watch some rodeo.

Great casino and a value. The restaurants were great but our favorite was Big Sur for the oysters and Pan Roast. Steak and Shake was also very good along with the Del Mar delj. We also did the graveyard special at the Coronado cafe...what a deal! The gambling was also good. Don't miss this place...our third visit is coming soon...

We needed a comfortable place to spend 2 nights prior to an international flight. We are non-gamblers. This hotel was just right. Situated south of the strip, the hotel offers spacious, quiet, comfortable rooms and beds. The self-parking is ample, with valet-parking available as well. There are 6 in-house eateries, ranging from all-you-eat buffet style to more fashionable restaurants. Checking-in/out was a breeze. We will definitely be back!

Quick overnight on a Thursday. It was our first time staying there, and we very much enjoyed it. Our room was a Premium View King, and it was lovely. We liked the layout, appreciated the fridge, and liked the express elevator for floors 14 and up (we were on 17). The bathroom was roomy and bright, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were just right! We explored the hotel amenities (bowling alley, equestrian area) without partaking, and they were hopping! Gambled a bit on the slots, enjoyed solid drink service, and then called it a night around 11:30. Enjoyed the buffet the next morning
