Great hotel. Close to the stadium if you're going for that reason. Food was expensive here and not very good. Also wished there was more gambling tables opened. Sports book is very nice and many kiosk.
Great Hotel Pros: Easy to get to the Mandalay Bay + Michelob Ultra Arena, Easy to get to the Shoppes at Mandalay, Lowkey Hotel with Proximity to all of the Fun, The Hotel + Rooms smell great and are large Rooms, High-End Hotel in Vegas
My husband brought me for my 40th birthday, had a great time! Located at the end of the strip, within walking distance to the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. Clean property, great security measures, friendly staff. Reasonable pricing. Would stay here again!
he room exceeded our expectations. Every room is a very large suite. The living room is very comfortable and closed off from the bedroom. It even has a powder room/toilet/sink area, which was surprising. Main bathroom has a large garden tub and shower and TV, with toilet closed off in separate room. Rooms and main bath have lots of closet, drawer, and storage space, which is something lacking in most hotels and always appreciated! Bed was extremely comfortable. Plenty of elevators so you didn't have to wait long to get a lift. This non-casino hotel is connected to Mandalay Bay's casino, shops and restaurants just a walk next door. Valets and bell hops were extremely quick, courteous and helpful. We requested a view of the stadium, because one of the reasons we stayed at the Delano was because it was the closest hotel to the stadium, a 10-minute walk across the bridge, which was super convenient since we were going to the Raiders/Broncos game. However, having your room face the freeway and stadium makes for a noisy environment due to the constant, continuous vehicle and helicopter traffic. Another downfall is that Delano is very far away from the popular hotels on the strip and taxi rides averaged around $15/each way, not bad, but make sure you tell your taxi driver to take the "back way" to Caesar's if you are going to see a show (we saw Rod Stewart), because otherwise you will wait in a lot of traffic on the strip. The only real perplexing issue is there is no microwave. There is a fridge, but no room for your own stuff since it is stocked with their snacks, beverages, and alcohol, which is EXTREMELY expensive. We brought a bottle of wine and some water with us and luckily had a very small cooler we could put ice into to keep it all chilled. We forgot a corkscrew and there is no corkscrew in the room, which is the first time I've encountered this. We called down for a corkscrew and were told it would be a $20 charge. They really want you to buy their stuff. …
I stayed here while attending a business convention. Arrived later than most attendees due to a delayed flight so check in area was not busy. Front desk staff was not very friendly and certainly didn't make me feel special. Despite it being 6:30 pm, they weren't sure my room was ready yet which was frustrating. Had to wait while they called housekeeping to confirm. No directions to the elevators or kind send off after check in. The room was Ho Hum. Nothing you'd want to take pictures of that's for sure. The baths were dated and for some odd reason, the waiting area for the elevators on each floor was really dark, so no checking your appearance in a mirror before heading down. Definitely not worth the $500 or so a night that we paid. Just my humble opinion.
Best hotel in town!!! Easy access to anywhere. Don't stay anywhere else and enjoy everything the Delano offers. Delano is clean friendly all food courts are close and pool is the best. Don't waste time anywhere else.
There was a noticeable blood stain on my sheets when I got to the room. Thankfully there were two beds and we just slept in the other. The guy at the front desk was super dismissive when I brought it to his attention and said it was just rust. I called the customer service line and the lady was much more supportive and apologized. I told her I didn’t want anything just to have those sheets changed and she insisted on a $75 resort credit. Very nice of her to do so. She is the only reason I give it an average score. The room itself was fine. No free water or coffee though which was strange for me.
If you're ever told anything over the phone make sure you get some sort of validation that it's accurate and being done. I always go out of my way to stay at an mgm property if we're spending 4 days or more in Vegas. I do this because I decided to go platinum. I knew it would take several trips to accomplish. I called and spoke to them over the phone to see if they would extend my points since we weren't traveling because of the pandemic. I was very pleased that the lady was extending my expiration until the first month of 2023. When I arrived last week I noticed on my app that all my points were gone and when I asked for someone to take a look, they said there isn't anything we can do.
You fell special at delano everyone was friendly and happy to see you. Prices are a little on the high side but that's vegas. The restaurants are good and there's easy access to all the surrounding hotels without going outside.
Don’t expect your room on time. Check in is at 3:00 and we didn’t get our room until 4:20, after I had to speak with the manager to resolve this. I was traveling for a business conference and had a dinner at 6:00 that I had to get ready for. The front desk was unprofessional and didn’t care. They kept telling me there was nothing they could do.
