Was very surprised at the condition of this Marriott. Clearly, renovations are desperately needed. The exterior doors are banged up and don’t close properly. The exterior windows and doors need to be repaired as wind whistles through them. On a forty degree morning, you could feel the winter wind chill the room. The furnishings in the room were dated and need of replacement. Bathroom fixtures were dated and did not function very well. Las Vegas has plenty of options and this property should not be on the top of your list if you want a modern hotels with 2023 amenities.
Beautiful property, needs updating. The restaurant was very nice and the service was exceptional good, which is rare these days. The rooms are spacious, but in desperate need of upgrading. The bathrooms have all the features of a luxury resort, but again, very old.
We’ve stayed here many times over the past 20 years. The wonderful staff of this resort never disappoint. From the valets to the people who checked us in to the housekeeping team these folks are personable and professional. We keep coming back to this wonderful Resort for many reasons but it’s the management and those who work here are why we give this place our highest recommendation.
If you want to stay in filth with a door that doesn’t lock, this is the place for you. Filth awaits as you open the door to your outdated, old, beat up room. Tattered, thin sheets covered in body hair from the last guest will invite you to a night of sweet slumber. You can awake to the last guests cups of cigarette butts, a used shower cap, and their body hair all over the bathroom. If you are lucky enough, you too can have a door that doesn’t lock. The safety of the JW will keep you calm and serene as you wonder if your belongings and other family members will still be there when you step out to get some breakfast. But not to worry, Myesha, the front desk manager will ease your negative thoughts by threatening to call security if you are dissatisfied with your room. Myesha says that since no one entered your room overnight or stole your belongings that you should be happy and go away. This luxury can also be yours with a stay at the JW Marriot Resort. Sweet dreams!!!…
I stayed at this hotel about 2 weeks ago I was really hoping to get a response from the hotel and since no one returned my calls I felt compelled to write this review. Me and my husband traveled from Atlanta to Las Vegas to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, I’m a gold elite member and as per that program if an upgrade is available they would upgrade you. The day I checked in two ladies were at the desk as I walked in I was not greeted I was not welcome nothing was said to me except how can I help you I handed her my ID and credit card and said I would like to check in as she was checking me in I asked her is there a upgrade available as we are here to celebrate our anniversary before I could finish my sentence she said no we are fully booked. She had me the keys I asked her where do I go for the breakfast that’s included in my rate she said no breakfast is available with the rate you booked I had to pull up my phone and find my reservation to prove to her that I had breakfast included in my rate. After she confirm my breakfast hand me my keys I took a minute to get my things together a gentleman and his companion came in they were greeted they were welcome and were told sir we are upgrading you all of this while I was standing a few steps away I call Marriott hotel 800 number and I file a complaint because at that point I felt if I look the way that gentleman and his partner or the employee behind the desk look I would’ve been treated differently. I was sent to the tower that my room was in and the lady at the front desk at the other tower ask what happened she said let me take a look and see your room she look at my reservation and said ma’am I can see that you booked a king room and you were please in a handicap room so not only I was not given an upgrade I was also downgraded from what I paid for. I asked to speak with the manager I was told he was gone for the day I spoke with the assistant manager who told me no one was upgraded it never happened. The next day a woman by the name of Kia Call me to inquire about my complaints and she told me she was going to look into my claims and call me back I have not heard back from Kia I called and I left several messages for her no one has ever call me back. I have been staying at the Marriott brand for many years from Europe to Asia and the entire US whenever we travel going forward I am not sure I am willing or I am going to subject myself and my family to this kind of treatment.…
Rooms are beautiful and spacious. Restaurants are top notch. They do not inform you at checkin that you have to request housekeeping, this is very odd to me being a JW Marriott. The only flaw - but a big flaw - does not represent good customer relations. I don’t mind that I dont receive it - just let me know at check in that it’s by request only.
Just wanted to say thank you to John Smith at the JW Marriott Las Vegas for his incredible customer service. He went above and beyond in making my birthday weekend very memorable. My accomodations were off the charts and much appreciated. Thank you John Smith
I have to leave a review because two valet staff deserve them. Thank you Cliff for being helpful welcoming. I owe gratitude to Zoren for helping me when I needed them the most. You went above and beyond just to help me thank you again. - Marie G.
This is a gorgeous property from the outside. Unfortunately this property on inside is tired, old and not very clean. Dirty un vacuumed hallways. The front door staff is very nice as is the front desk. The steakhouse restaurant is delicious with good service.. review The casino is tired and the staff is not friendly. Definitely not up to JW Marriott standards. This is a Franchised property. Do yourself a favor and stay down the street.
Walking in to the lobby to check in we were hit in the face from the cigarette smoke from the casino. We visited several casinos in the area and on the strip and this Marriott was one of the top smokiest. They absolutely need to update their filtering system. Hotel was sold out, but did not seem overcrowded. Our room was at the end of the hall next to the elevator. If I had known I would've requested a different room when we booked weeks prior to our trip. You could hear it running all night like a quick train sound. it was very annoying and it was hard to sleep. Room was clean, but very dark and dated. Thankfully room did not smell of smoke. Every staff member we interacted with was pleasant and helpful including the valet staff, front desk, dealers, wait staff in the restaurant etc. We stayed 4 nights for a golf tournament for our son and the location was convenient. This Marriott was not worth the price we paid. …
