This sprawling hotel complex is located in the Summerlin community which is about a 30+ minute drive from the airport and Strip. It's a good choice if you are looking for something away from the energy and noise of the Strip. Its a bit far if you are attending a conference that is based at the convention center. The hotel is lovely although slightly dated in a Tuscan/European style. Rooms are large and bathrooms are extravagant with soaking tubs and free standing showers with rain style shower heads. Staff is well trained and eager to provide great service.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were very large with high ceilings and large double sinks with shower and jacuzzi tub and balcony. A morning walk through the zen garden was peaceful. Enjoyed the casino but could use some better ventilation with the smoke. Coupon book was nice and was able to take advantage of some of the freebies and discounts. Hotel staff go out of way to smile. Free shuttle to strip only ran at 10 and 5. Would liked to have had some additional times

See my prior reviews for complete hotel information. The SPA tower is the only one open to date. There is no valet for the hotel. Rooms are excellent with great jetted tubs, and rain drop showers(ours did not work well and we did not want anyone in the room. No room service or maid service, They will supply you anything in the room. There was no coffee machine in the room. They have a nice refrigerator. King bed rooms have only one stand up chair, Queen rooms have two sofa chairs, JW, if you are reading this, please put sofa chairs in all rooms or a couch. Many of the restaurants have limited hours or they might be closed on certain days. The buffet is closed. Casino is open 24 hours. Temperature taken at casino and hotel. Overall, service was great, rooms are great. Pool is open. We were coming in every other month and it was good to see some friendly faces. If you want value, this would be the room for you.

Not even close to what I expect from a JW. Older hotel. Tired decor and rooms. Minimally staffed. We’re now two years out from pandemic cutting housekeeping, figure it out JW. People don’t want to pay the same to experience no service during their stay. Upon check in I was told there was NO housekeeping available. I was there for FIVE days for business. Certainly people are going to need a clean towel or toilet paper or trash taken out after five days. I shouldn’t have to call and ask for TOILET PAPER or shampoo during a five day stay at a JW. A coworker tried to call for service one morning and was told she would have needed to call 24 hours in advance if she wanted her room serviced. ??? When I did need to call, nothing was “At Your Service”. The phone would ring 20+ times. I finally got someone to answer and asked for two wine glasses. Was told there were none. I clarified, there’s not a single wine glass in a casino hotel? Nope, there was no one on staff that could bring me one because room service wasn’t available at 4pm (despite the in-room menu saying otherwise). I asked if there was a bar on property I could go to get a wine glass and was told, “you could try”. Don’t count on Wi-Fi at all, I literally couldn’t connect from my room in the Palm tower during my entire stay. I had to go down to the conference area to connect. There for work…. No in room internet. 🤦‍♀️ Truly an excellent stay for a Hampton Inn. Abysmal for a JW. Would not recommend. Would not stay here again. Especially glad I wasn’t footing the bill. Oh, and like others say, if you don’t like smoke, don’t come here. The food outlets that were open gave you a smoke filled walk to get there. Gross. Oh, the kicker - housekeeping that was invisible and absent my entire stay was knocking on my door at 8:55 am the day of my departure to turn the room. How fitting and what a lovely wake up call I didn’t ask for.

We are part of the BonVoy family member and we have stayed in many Marriotts around the world. We always prefer the Marriotts facility for their service and nice facilities. The JW Marriott Resort and Spa is a nice facility however the rooms need a refresh the furniture specially are scratched and the curtains do not fully closed. We stay in the one bedroom suite 5100, which is very comfortable and big with a bath and half, and a Kitchnette with only a microwave and fridge. It’s a quite room with a nice view. We stay here during the pandemic and hotel is following the covid precautions. However the Earl Gray café we stopped by for dinner and there was no distancing between the tables and the place was full since it is the only restaurant open. They also advertised a rampar club card breakfast special, for $5.49 by 9am, but is only dine in which is not printed in their menu. So this was miss advertisement and a big disappointment when I wanted to due take out due to covid. So beware if you decide to order or eat there.
The spa, Pool and hair salón are close due yo covid.

Overall the facility is nice but the rooms needs a refresh or st least better maintanence.

We decided to stay at this JW Marriott which is 30 minutes from downtown Las Vegas, and we were VERY glad we did. The resort is quite elegant with many dining choices. Our standard room was very large with a walk in closet that I could have slept in! Even though below us was the water feature of the courtyard (including waterfalls) our room was quiet. We were so happy to stay here verses downtown and will most definitely stay here on our next visit to Las Vegas. Staff was excellent as well by the way. Very helpful and very friendly.

See my prior reviews for details, Main points, No bell hop service, Valet parking for a fee. Both towers are now open, Jacuzzi rooms for two. Kings beds have sofa chairs, Queen rooms do not. Most restaurants are open, some not all days, Starbucks closes early, so does the Deli. Casino operational and within safety protocols. Staff is friendly. We do like this hotel from past experiences and service has been good to exceptional in the past and present. Pool is open. Spa is closed, but exercise room is open and the beauty and nails is now open. This is a no smoking hotel, so I do not understand the smoke problem and never had a problem and you can open your doors to the outside to let fresh air in. This is a great hotel to stay and the Jacuzzi tub and raindrop shower is fantastic. Enjoy your staff.

What happened to this property? I hope the property managers read this and address these issues. We don’t need a consoling remark back from the management

Pros:
Great staff people were very helpful and very kind
Beautiful landscaping, impeccable

Cons:
Rooms:
Mold in bathroom grout
Marred furniture our room
Connectivity and down loan speeds for WYFI is very poor.
Housekeeping staff shouldn’t talk and burden guess with how tired and busy they are.
Elevators look like a service elevator, glass not clean and the wood finishing all mares up with sheet metal finishing all streaked
Not all Tables in gambling area open 24 hr, cramps and roulette not open early morning till 11:00am

Aqua spa’s main feature “The pool” was not warm and non functional

The main hotel pool is only half open and only open from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm no evening dip in pool
Hot tub not fictional
Lounge chairs were stained with other guess sweat and suntan lotion and were commonly dotted with bird poop
Drinks alittle expensive $17+ tip for mixed drinks
Pool side cabanas alittle pricey at $275 per day.
And all the above with temps in high 90’s.

Not the JW Marriott that we experienced pre-Covid. These issues were not problems the last time we came here. If you charge full price for a resort then the management should provide full services. In this case I didn’t get what I paid for which is contrary to the old slogan “you pay for what you get”.

The hotel is okay, but the services are really closer to a motel than a hotel, and definitely not on par with any other JW and really shouldn't be called a "resort.

The thing here is to know what you're getting and for business travelers it's not much. There is no real room service (Starbucks and a deli deliver with limited hours), there is no daily housekeeping unless you ask, and 1/2 of the restaurants are open only 1/2 of the week. One or two aren't even open.

It's a fine property, and people are nice but for trips where convenience is required I would go to the Red Rock a few minutes away. They clean your room, iron your clothes, have 24/7 room service and a mini bar, and all of their restaurants are open late in the day.

Again, it's fine but it feels like they are living in a half-open reality when the majority of hotels in the US have moved on from that.

on a whim, we decided sun and downtime poolside was the perfect get away for a much needed vacation. my recommendation would be to choose this resort if you are going to gamble, otherwise, there is nothing to do. The complementary breakfast at the earl grey cafe was mediocre and the entire lobby smells faintly of tobacco. this smell becomes overwhelming as you near the casino. Only one pool was open and it was just okay. Due to strong winds, the entire pool was closed, leaving us literally with zero to do so we checked out early and only stayed one night. I expected more from a JWMarriott, as this is our favorite hotel brand in Chicago and have enjoyed amenities many times over the years. Staff was very friendly, it is not their fault and of course, we are still in a pandemic so a fair amount of the property was operating on limited hours or was closed. on a side note, you should be able to sit in the cloth chairs and not order dinner, that is a silly rule.

Thank you for your feedback; this is something we will discuss with the team in regards to the cafe and smoke smell. The high winds yesterday were very unfortunate and did result in the closing of the pool for the day- we hope you will be able to come back and enjoy it with our usual beautiful weather!

I agree. Their pool and hot tubs were closed when I stayed. I am titanium elite and I just received the breakfast voucher and $10/day for food. The property is dated IMO. i stayed at the tower closest to casino. Not sure if the other tower is newer.
