Was very pleased with our stay at Hitching Post RV, highly recommend. All staff I encountered were friendly & helpful. When we reported the tree watering system was spraying the RV next to us, they were right there to take care of it. Laundry room was the best I have come across at any RV park: very clean, plenty of washers & dryers including two 40 pound machines (big enough to wash a comforter). Our lot was long enough for our RV & towed truck & leveling was very quick. Pool (salt) looked great but we did not use it: being Nov, I only saw one person swimming. Park was very well maintained, clean & secured (you get a remote to open gate to enter the park)

Just stayed here again and love it. Its quite a bit north of the main strip and quiet - near the industrial area. Not far from plenty of places to eat (want to drive not walk) and only 10 mins from downtown Freemont Street and about the same from the main strip. Lots of spots available, pool, gym, laundry and showers available, full hook-ups and an RV service center next door if needed. Great service and friendly staff. We stay here a couple of times per year. We will be back.

Short 1 night stay in Vegas. Spots are gravel. The common areas are nice. Lots of full timers seems like. Everyone was very friendly and the sites were very clean. Full hook ups, gated with nearby restaurants and amenities. 5 miles from Fremont. Lots of speed bumps. Some areas are tight a squeeze. We have a 37ft class a motor home pulling a Jeep Wrangler.

The park seemed a bit sketchy but it was gated and highly rated so we figured we would try it.

The staff were reasonable and the other guests were nice.

Then someone siphoned ~ 15 gallons of fuel during the night. So it cost us an extra $60.

Will stay in Mesquite next time.

We spent one night here and was very happy with the service. I booked our RV spot within an hour of arriving with no problems. Michael was awesome when we were checking out the next day with directions to where we needed to go shopping.

We stayed here for a month makeing it a very reasonable price. The staff where friendly and helpfull. Sites can be a little snug but we stayed in our 34 foot rig with slide out and where more than happy. Nice and flat gravel pitches. Salt water pool was the cleanest and best kept we have seen. 24 hour reception and a very reasonable priced bar and grill also 24 hours. All conveniances kept clean and tidy. Close to road but no noise problem. Many sites are residents but the ones we met where all lovely and friendly. Very convenient for the strip. We loved our stay.

Polite staff. Gated secure site with large pull through RV spaces. We used the showers, pool and laundry - all were in excellent condition and available for use with no wait.
Only downside is that it is an approx 20 minute drive from the Strip but the price was only $33 USD per night, which made it worth the drive.

Dear April M, We are always glad to hear that our staff was polite to you while you were staying with us. We love that RV Travelers find our pull throughs so accommodating. Yes, your correct it’s about a 20-minute drive to the newer part of the Las Vegas strip, but it’s only about 10-minutes to the Downtown part of the Las Vegas Strip. Unless you are staying in a Casino on the Las Vegas strip it normally takes about 20 minutes to get there from many places around our Valley and lately due to heavy construction in other areas it can be much longer than 20-minutes. We are happy that we can offer travelers a very competitive rate with a beautiful RV park to go with it. Thank you for taking the time to write us a review and inform other travelers what our park is all about. Happy Travels Until We See You Again, Jennifer Hippler Marketing Director of Hitchin’ Post

It looks a bit scruffy and is close to the main road but we took a night here in the RV park and it turned out perfectly adequate and wasn't noisy. Helpful staff, good facilities (rest room, laundry, swimming pool) clean and tidy, and, importantly, on a main bus route into downtown with a stop just opposite. We went here to take a helicopter trip into the Canyon, which picks you up from a number of hotel locations and the nearest one is the Plaza.

I was looking for an RV space, for the winter, Price was right , but the area was not worth staying at as the neighborhood was rough, especially at night, if staying here , Be safe ! don't go out at night.

Dear quagemire, We are so sorry that you didn’t feel safe in our RV Park. We work very hard to keep our park very secure. We keep our security gates closed and provide gate remotes to our RV guests, we have 24/7 surveillance and we work very closely with LVMPD. If we ever have any situations that need police attention they are always available very quickly, but we rarely need to call Metro. We also have people that work 24/7 in our front office and in our Saloon and Steakhouse, so our guests can always get a hold of a staff member if they need one. We take your safety as our guest very seriously. Thank you for writing to other guests about your concerns it was very caring of you. Best Regards, Jennifer Hippler Marketing Director of the Hitchin’ Post

I got the impression from the website that this was near the Vegas strip - it is not at all close. The sites are all gravel, with a picnic table and tree but devoid of personality. When we stayed it was 106 degrees and so hot. The pool was nice, big and up to 8 feet. There were many lounge chairs and big bathrooms and showers. There was a golf putting green, batting cage and restaurant nearby that was fine, but smoky. The airplanes and fighter jets going by at all hours were noisy!!! We would not come again.

Dear Foodie T, Thank you for taking the time to give us a well thought out review. We are terribly sorry to hear you would not come back again in the future and hope that maybe you change your mind eventually, but we do understand if you do not. We appreciate the feedback no matter what. I'm sorry that you felt that our website gave you the impression we are super close to the Las Vegas Strip. We are located on the Las Vegas Blvd that leads to the Las Vegas strip. We are 6 miles from downtown and that puts us at about a 15 minute drive to Fremont Street Experience. That is the older part of the Las Vegas Strip. We don't recommend our guests walk to the strip for their own safety, but Las Vegas does have Uber, Lyft and Cab services. Driving to the newer section of the strip where all the really big resorts are is a little further of a distance. You are able to drive down the Las Vegas Strip from where we are located or you can go hop on the Freeways and get there much quicker. It's really up to your expectations on what you'd like to see while visiting Las Vegas, and I'm reading your review seeing we were not close enough to make your trip the most enjoyable to you and your family. We do apologize for any inconvenience you feel we might have caused during your stay. I'm sorry that the Nellis Air Force Base was a little too noisy as well during your stay. Sometimes they only fly during the day, but since it's a military base we don't ever know the schedule. Overall, I am very sorry we couldn't do more to make your stay better. We hope you enjoy any other travels you have in the future. Happy trails to you until we meet you again! Thanks, Jennifer Hippler-Apfel Marketing Director of the Hitchin' Post

Can you advise as to transport from the park to the strip please.
Answer from JenHLasVegas
Las Vegas
There are city buses that run up and down the Las Vegas Strip Daily. Another way of transportation would be using a cab service, Uber, or even Lyft. The Hitchin' Post does not provide any services of transportation. We do not recommend walking to the Las Vegas Strip from our location, because you do have to pass through an area of town that is not the safest for walking. If you have any questions about transportations feel free to contact our front office staff.
