RATE CATEGORIES 1. Amenities - everything you could need. Even the ice! But pro tip… go across the street. Walmart has the same bag for $1.50 rather than $3.50 but if you’re like me… I don’t mind to save some time. Btw that Walmart was stocked and had thee friendliest workers and was so clean!!! 2. Cleanliness - wow KOA bravo 👏🏼. I’m one picky person too when it comes to this. Bathrooms were spotless every single time I walked in there. 3. Customer Service - extremely friendly, helpful and available. 4. Location - 15 min away from the strip. For us this didn’t work. Next time we need something closer. 5. Cost/ Value for Money - we paid 77.00 a night for a budget spot. I wouldn’t pay any more for a spot… even if it was a premium spot. PROS: Wow was this place clean. Not a paper flying around and the womens restrooms were always spot less!!!! Staff was so friendly. And very helpful. I loved the 24hr security. We felt very safe. Very quiet. Staff was always around w/out being over baring. We would visit again. Walking distance to Sams Town. 4-5 min walk. And an Original Tommys Burger across the street, love this Los Angeles original hotspot. CONS: Spots are considerably small. Not really the "camping vibe" we were looking for. Not very green. Main rd can be a tad bit noisy. Strip is about a 15 min drive. HIGHLIGHT: Showers Showers. Showers. They keep the heaters on in the restrooms girls during winter months!!!!! Beautiful bamboo benches in every shower along w/ locking doors and a shower curtain. It was more then comfy, clean and safe. Plenty of hot water too. Shower mats on the step in and a shower caddy attached to the tile wall. Beyond perfect!!!!…
We camped in September- still so hot but it’s better than snow! You can walk to Walmart which is located across the street. You can walk to the casino and eat at subway: TGIF and gamble at the casino on your way! This KOA has a nice clean laundry room and a nice little gift shop too!
We had a wonderful experience at this KOA. The staff went out of their way to help make your stay perfect. The place was very clean and close by everything you need. It was a super urban RV park and we plan to come back.
stayed here 9-19 22 nice level pull through nice pool and hot tub nice dog park paved roads with gravel sites great staff and security sams town casino next door close to all Vegas has to offer free cable tv and wifi
We arrived early in the morning because of a wind advisory. They were kind enough to find us a spot. Only problem was the we barely fit in the spot. For $60 dollars a day, I don’t like feeling like I’m in a parking lot packed like a can of sardines. We have never stayed in a KOA before. If they are all like this, we won’t be doing that again. It was noisy at night with sirens, dogs barking and you could hear your neighbors.
Well maintained, bathrooms kept clean but the codes to door locks get changed without notification so if you need to use the facilities make sure you know the code before you go, no pun intended. Internet speed is slow, 10 mbps, and the area is somewhat noisy, in regards to the sirens and helicopters flying over.
Everything was great except for the wifi. Sometimes it works and other times it does not. It might work for 2 minutes or 2 hours but never could tell when it might work. Jacuzzi was great but the first 2 days someone shut off the heater. After it was turned back on it was great. Pool water was just the right temp.
They are a side by side (Jack and Jill) sites. They are very narrow, so much so we couldn't even put our awning out. Had to park our tow vehicle sideways on the back to fit into the spot. If you don't know your neighbors, you definitely will. Their door was about 6 feet from our rig.
I was able to book a month while heading south. It is located on Boulder Highway next to Sam's Town. It is well managed and there were no issues booking my stay nor checking in. Check in is off Boulder Highway and was escorted to the satelite park across the street on Nellis. Road is paved and wide, sites are gravel. Cable TV was included and worked well. The free WiFi was usable. My biggest complaint was that in the showers, it was difficult to get hot water. Hot tub was good, pool cold. Laundry room was fine.
Park is large with plenty of sites both back-in and pull-thru. Staff keeps park very clean as well as the pool and restrooms. The park is off a main street but traffic noise is not bad. Site is gravel, level, but there are no picnic tables. Dog run has grass and bags are provided. Park felt safe and no problems walking at any time of night. Walmart right across the street, and the property hotel and casino had a good steakhouse and TGI Fridays.
