I arranged for my daughter and her friend to stay at the Suncoast as they were traveling west. They had only the nicest things to say about it and highly recommend it. Said it was one of the nicest hotels they have ever stayed at.
We stayed here for 2 nights when passing through LV (as we prefer to stay 'off-strip' these days) and had stayed at their sister hotel a couple of times (Aliante in North LV), so decided to go for a change & this hotel looked promising. We arrived mega early & the room type we had reserved was available but with an early check in fee - usually places will let you in without extra charges, but it was before 10am and so i was happy to pay a surcharge to access the room for the rest of the day (and make use of the facilities). Check in was quick & easy enough, but the lady wasn't over friendly. The casino is large & has all the usual extras you'd expect (buffets, cinema, restaurants etc) and we were entertained well enough throughout our stay. One of the main reasons I booked was the pool area looked nice (although it wasn't as good as the Aliante) and the rooms were large for the price. Our room overlooked the pool & the neighbouring golf course & was clean, spacious & had a seating area with a sofa, desk, etc. The AC worked fine & kept the room cool and we never heard any noise from any of our neighbours, which is always good! We spent some time at the pool, choosing to go early on before it got busy, but we were able to get a cabana or other comfy seating no problem, and everything was nice and tidy/clean. The food was decent and we opted for buffet eating most of the time (as was so cheap) but did also try a meal in the italian/pizza type restaurant, but have to say the quality wasn't much better than the buffet despite the higher prices. I guess that's the case in most casinos, but you're paying for a different eating experience by going into one of the restaurants and don't have to dine amongst the hungry hordes if you don't want to! (Separate reviews for the buffet to come). I'd stay here again, as well cheap & cheerful, however I'd prefer to stay at the Aliante over this hotel if given the choice. A good off-strip option for those looking for a quieter Vegas experience though.…
This is an older somewhat smoky casino like most. I went to do some gambling and was off in a corner by myself when a guy came up to me a told me to pull my mask up over my nose, nobody within 20 or 30 feet of me except him. I left and spent my money elsewhere, Bellagio, Red Rock where they don't have a paid guy marching around.
During a pandemic, the room should not be unsanitary. The remote control looked like it could use a good wipe down, there was an inch of dust in some areas of the room. Nightstands needed a good wipe down too. We got two towels for four people. There is no fan in the bathroom so it got really steamy and stinky with four people in one room. The website said check-in was at 4 p.m. and the sign at the desk says 9 a.m. We were stalling most of the day with nowhere to go and we could have checked in sooner. The front desk upon check-in wasn't even friendly. They didn't greet me and even walked away when it was my turn. Totally different experience with check out though he was very polite. I honestly slept on the top of the covers that night because the room was so gross.
The Casino is open, the rooms are always nice, but the big hit for me on this visit was our server Elizabeth in 90 Ninety Restaurant For Dinner and Benito our server at Dupars for Breakfast. Great food, great service and happy times are coming back at the Suncoast. I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Elizabeth, Benito and Suncoast.
