Recently bought out by a great family and a lot of remodeling has been done. However the ambiance of the Steakhouse (now DeSimone's) is still great and the restaurant has been renovated a bit making it more open and even more beautiful. Food is still great and prices are very reasonable. The Hotel has opened a new room/attraction which is... More

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Laughlin from Las Vegas. We did not stay in the hotel. It is right before you enter Boulder City. Nice selection of slots and very friendly staff. The Iron Rail coffee shop was very good. Easy free parking. I added some photos.

I have stopped at this hotel going to Vegas many times in the last ten years. It was my respite after the drive up from Phoenix and before the last stretch to the Strip. I finally decided to spend the night. The trouble started even before I "got to board." I had reserved 1 non-smoking room for 1 night on... More

I spent 5 nights at this hotel and I was quite impressed with the guest services. My air conditioner stopped working and someone was up to resolve the problem in minutes. This is an older hotel and it is dated but it is clean and the folks working here are a pleasure to deal with. My only complaint was I... More

Have you ever seen the movie Vegas Vacation? You know the scene where Cousin Eddie takes Clark to a buffet for dinner...I swear it was filmed here! Most disgusting food, ever. Everything was dried out, overcooked, or bland. I kid you not, ANY fast food joint would have tasted better than this place. It looked dirty, food was all over... More

We stopped here on our way from Vegas to Laughlin. We usually just drive on past but we decided to stop and check it out this time. We found the cafe/coffee shop in the back corner and were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. It was a Sunday morning and we expected that we might have to wait. In... More

The Railroad Pass Hotel & Casino is such a GREAT value with everything you need in a Vegas Gaming Vacation that you won't get to the other multimillion dollar properties. Seriously,, they have a sports book with action and viewing available on all games, the casino is not huge so you won't be 'exploring' (a.k.a getting lost) when you'd prefer... More

We stopped here on our way back from the Grand Canyon. I had a house salad and a cup of seafood bisque. The salad was fresh crispy good. The bisque was very flavorful, but it had 1 small crab leg, 3 wilted shrimp still in the shell. It was hard to eat. It's too bad because it really did have... More

We stopped here because on our way to the Hoover dam, we saw a sign for their buffet at a really good price (I don't recall the exact number). The buffet was nothing special but it was good. On the day of our visit they were offering pancakes, waffles and omelettes as a special (or something like that).
