Nestled in scenic surroundings, the Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa is a throwback to its former glory, though some guests feel its luster has faded over time. The hotel's atmosphere and location are often praised, yet many visitors have issues with cleanliness, including insufficient towels and inadequate maintenance. Room conditions, with outdated décor and lack of upkeep, diminish the comfort that guests expect. While the service can be hit or miss, with both commendable staff and frustrating delays, the amenities often fall short of expectations, with travelers citing closed facilities and underwhelming value for the price.

If you enjoy a 'Grand' hotel experience, then this is a place for you.Wonderful grandiose atmosphere with large arches, crown molding, brick pathways, plus spacious rooms with a lovely view of the lake. Our room was very quiet and the bathroom included a soaking tub, shower, toilet and double sinks, plus thick, thirsty linens with an assortment of toiletries. This is a spa experience, just in the room. The Firenze bar just off the lobby is easily available with a delicious assortment of salads and sandwiches to accompany any beverages. (fine service with a top-notch bartender for mixed drinks as well) Housekeeping stopped daily to freshen towels, without our request. What a treat! It is a large property, but we experienced a clean and well-maintained property. The Firenze bar is well-priced, but several of the more elegant restaurants on the site are pricier. However, the service is exceptional. This is a peaceful escape from the Strip, which is still an easy drive if desired. Valet parking is available, as is an easy self-park area.

On the positive side, the property is beautiful, the Italian villa style is very nice and the little shops in the village very nice. The front desk staff were also friendly and the free shuttle to the strip was nice. Having a full service Starbucks on site was also nice as was the little grocery. The location was nice and quiet also.
Unfortunately, it's all downhill from there. The rooms need a refresh as they are dated. the balcony was nice, but I don't think the chair cushions had been cleaned...ever, The toilet paper was cheap, not what you would expect at a higher end property. The TV seldom worked, and finally they replaced it.
The worst thing by far however, was the maid service. three times in our seven day stay, they either forgot to replenish the toilet paper, the towels or the coffee. When i called the front desk they brought these up, but no real apology. The housekeeping staff was also not very friendly. Also, on a couple of occasions, we were gone for the day and the room wasn't done when we got back late afternoon, They were still working on the rooms until 5-6 pm. The pillows were terrible also (way too soft).
We liked the area but would not stay here again.

I stayed here for a conference recently and had a very pleasant stay. The room was very large and despite being close the elevator, there was almost no noise. The location is quite beautiful with the lake and the surrounding mountains. There are also some shops and restaurants that are nearly on the grounds of the hotel. I also appreciated the shuttle they ran between this location and the conference hotel. However, it is a half hour away from downtown Las Vegas, which means that if you don't have a car, you're going to be spending a lot of money on Uber/Lyft/taxis.

We stayed here to be central to national parks while on our honeymoon. Overall I’d say it’s a “get what you pay for” hotel. The beds are not very comfortable (we got a queen bed when we’d reserved a king, so maybe the kings are more comfortable) and the pillows are really pretty bad. We tried the breakfast buffet and it was by far the worst AND most expensive meal we ate while in Vegas. The pastries are fruit were amazing, but the powdered eggs and undercooked potatoes were disgusting.
The location is great if you want easy access to Lake Mead and the Valley of Fire, and although it was too cold to go in the pool, the one here looked pretty amazing.

We debated over this hotel and the Marriott property nearby (we are Marriott members and could have gotten better rate or free) - but we're glad we went with the Hilton. They have a wonderful breakfast buffet in the mornings and some nice walking paths, and the hotel is beautiful (considering it was a Ritz Carlton before). It's a pretty location and we have been to other places like this in the area - as we prefer the quiet atmosphere compared to the strip, etc. The workout room is VERY nice and has good equipment. The pool was closed for the season (bummer), but looked nice. The rooms and the hotel itself are very spread out, but worth the walking and we enjoyed the quiet time and quiet locations this offered. We were kept up by some party-goers that ran amok late after 1am, but that's not the hotels fault necessarily. It's near Vegas, so what can you expect? I would recommend this location and during the summer, I would imagine it's really fun, because they have a lake access area for some summer adventures.

The pictures I included are from 05/2020 & 06/2020. Both trips I requested a lake view. They nailed it on the 1st visit, the 2nd visit not SO much. When I mentioned this to the MOD, she advised I did have a lake view & that she was not going to argue w/ me.

I requested a refund amount for the difference of a room w/ no lake view which she granted.

The refrigerator didn’t work & I advised of this @ 6:00 as well as my toddler had milk that needed to remain cool. At 9:30, I called & asked for the status of another fridge coming up & they had forgotten & got someone up to the room ASAP.

The staff that brought the microwave & additional towels was NOT wearing his mask.

The gentleman at the front desk was extremely courteous. The complimentary beverages were good as well as the chicken wings!

I have reviewed many, many hotels, and usually give 4 to 5 stars for even a modest or small hotel as long as it is clean and well managed. Well, this hotel is run down, and needs to be renovated. In addition, we arrived just before 10 pm exhausted and went to our room where we found the sink to be soiled with what we could only imagine was sewage. We went down and were given a different room. I knew something was wrong when the “seal of cleanliness” was broken. There were used towels next to each sink, used soap and an empty, used coffee cup on the entry table. Strike two. When we went down again, the front desk clerk, Joy, went to check out our next room before giving us our keys. It was finally clean. Joy was the one bright spot in our visit. We were there with a group of 8 couples and had plans the next morning to go kayaking at 9:30am. They notified us at 8am that next morning that the lake was going to be closed for maintenance, and kayaking was cancelled. The men in our group were golfing at Reflection Bay next to the hotel and noticed about 10 dead fish in the lake. We probably would not visit this hotel again.

Stayed here for 4-nights with my wife and 2 kids. Last year we stayed at The Westin which is 5-min away but the convention moved. I am a Marriott guy but have recently been staying at some other chains. This used to be a Ritz Carlton so the bones are good, obviously not what it started out to be anymore.
It was a good stay, not amazing. We had a king and a rollaway and switched to 2 queens on our last night because the rollaway was so bad. It was the worst one I have ever slept on. Really uncomfortable. We had four people in the room but housekeeping repeatedly gave us three towels for the bathroom. Other than that the room was comfortable and quiet.
Service here was very good, I felt like they were a bit understaffed, which isn’t surprising this time of year. The location next to the village is awesome. Has many more dining options than The Westin, kids can run around, play in the sandbox by the grocery store. They also have a fire pit they turn on at night. Just more to do. One major bummer is that the pool was closed. It is seasonal and doesn’t open until March 01. The breakfast buffet was good. Not super expensive, and you can order off the money as well. I’d stay again but would be more fun when the pool is open.

We booked for one night to get a staycation - We should have known from the time of checking in that this property is understaffed and putting peoples health at risk. They tell you check in is at 3pm our room was not ready and we had to wait until 4:45 for a room also when checking in the front bellman was not wearing a face mask and a few of the clerks at the front desk had there mask below there nose we found several employees not wearing a face mask. And there is no Social Distancing Very Crowded Lobby. Now for the worst part of our stay we had a pull out sleeper in our room when we opened it up we found the prior guest bedding to still be on it and never changed - The worst part is that it was pee stained on the sheets and the mattress very disgusting. We called down to the front desk and they sent up a room supervisor that said he was not sure who checked this room. We were so disgusted that we checked out. This property was once a Ritz Carlton and today I would rate it at the bottom all hotels. One last item when we went down to the pool they were out of towels we were told they were being cleaned and it would be a hour or so.

We had a special request to have a room with a balcony like the website picture but we didnt and when we went to the reception to ask to change the room to have one like what i have paid for they said we are fully booked, i told her we checked in at 4:00 pm exactly she said all the rooms are checked in

2. The rooms are waaay far from the elevator

3. The website said the parking was free, it was but you have to walk around 10 minutes to get from the parking to the reception or to pay an additional $10 per night for valet

4. The room was dirty hair on the bathroom , on the bed... cereal was on the floor near the bed , window frame was super dirty with dust and even a dead bug like the picture attached

5. The house keeping was really nice but the receptionist and their supervisor was totally unprofessional when we asked to change the room to have what we paid for or to change it with room near the elevator they even didnt bother themselves to look at the system they just said we dont have , at 4:00 pm all rooms were already checked-in, we know the rooms.

6. The BIGGEST ISSUE i choose specifically this hotel because i have 2 kids who love the water ,the lake was CLOSED for one whole day (our middle day of the stay the longest day of our stay ) the lake was closed for maintenance, the water park was closed and we had a kayak we couldn't launch it , no one notified us with the closure, so we had to drive outside the hotel to find another beach to swim

7. THE village is so boring just few restaurants and they close around 9:00 pm , lots of stores where closed

8. The pool showers were not working

9. No laundry bag in the room or as suply in the hotel

10. The AC was useless at the morning you barely can feel it , very week

8. It was one of the worse experiences we had , i was very disappointed that all this happened in a hilton
